the 9-5 is a scam. i have just realized how bad it is this year. you all need to quit your boring 9-5 job and pursue your interests. i liked my job, thats why i stuck with it, but im making more money elsewhere, and now im thinking "why didnt i do this sooner?" because i was satisfied with my 9-5. i feel like i was scammed.

I work at Dave and busters. everyone getting their hours cut and people getting sent home early. Not enough guests coming in.
The big ones are near all time highs and the small ones are already down 60-90%. Why would small ones go down another 80%? Makes no sense. Big ones are prone to more pain than the small ones which have barely bounced back.
Your thinking to broad.. if the economy does bad and people in general cut back on spending earning for small caps are going further in the toilet even possibly bankruptcy but big companies don't rely on just consumer spending.
Big companies are protected vs small ones being neglected
Walmart earnings tomorrow morning I believe is the "smoking gun" for the economy. August 14th 2007 Walmart warned about the consumer stocks sold off, it took awhile to enter recession and consumer spending on the data actually picked up in September 2007 but What Walmart says tomorrow is king IMO

the interest rate perspective was a good one. at the end of the day most of the top dogs right now like apple, microsoft a meta are all sitting on mountains of cash that they could depoly with ease. they don't need to borrow to raise capital and all the cash they have sitting on the side is paying them a pretty penny right now.

It'll come down eventually because the consumer is clearly weakened (if it's true if consumer is like 70% of the economy anyway..). Both consumer and businesses are increasingly bankrupt and inflation is still +3% not including coffee. Mcducks raised prices to absurd levels then says the consumer is cracking and has to launch promos (better if they lowered prices instead of doing promos). But remember, the pain is when the yield curve begins to normalize.

Mega caps do not win in a real recession. Their revenue comes from ads and cloud. As consumers tap out initially ad spend goes up as hours are cut and people are laid off, eventually you have nothing left to cut but the ads. And these companies are priced for double digit growth yearly. Also in a recession rates come down so whatever cash they haven’t used to repurchases executive shares will just sit and probably go into bonds for 2%
How can we keep rallying? Jobless is ramping, cost of living hitting the picket, subscriptions coming down and crime increasing. Recession level alarms for sure. There has to be a drop soon

Big guy's interest rate net income will be improved by high interest rate but its stock price is decided by investors based on comparison between risk free rate and equity growth rate, i.e., yield spread. So if risk free rate surpass yield expected from investment, people will simply run after risk free asset.

I have said for two years that it's an inflation decade. The days of the fed being able to control inflation are almost gone. Rising interest rates can only have a small.impact.on inflation when bank leading isn't the issue. Government spending and massive debt is going to drive inflation - good luck with having the government behave fiscally responsible in the U.S
The biggest asset we have is a weak Fed which will do everything possible to not hike

Yes number go up is the goal lets be honest. so be in the big tech stocks and top alt coins, yes crypto should be in your portfolio if not most of it, and have a coke and smile. This is the new normal the world changed, people changed, the market changed. There are only 7 stocks worth buying and in truth only about 7 cryptos worth buying. Everything else just wont do as good simple as that.

I work for a large manufacturer here in the USA. We have four sights. We produce parts for all the major manufacturers of ATV’s, Lawn&Garden, AG, and construction. All sights have cut hours to a 32 hour work week for the remainder of the month and the month of June. I’ve been working 45 to 50 hours a week since 2022. Told the sales forecast looks better in July. We will see.

Microsoft should be considered a cyber security play. I’ve been in IT for 25 years. Not a fan of Microsoft and I am buying their products simply because they do have the best solutions for zero trust, MFA, endpoint management etc. their licensing model sucks so bad everyone pays more than they need to. It’s a great business model.
