Recession is not bad for everyone. It is very good for people who have a fixed income and low debt levels, and those with savings who dont own assets, as well as the medium to long term prospects of young people. Avoiding recessions longer and longer means pulling up the ladder for those who havent yet entered the market, like stopping a bushfire. All the shoots at the bottom cant get any sunlight while the forest gets cluttered with giant trees blocking the sunlight and weeds choking them.

Day trading is glorified gambling, you're almost always better off swing trading or passively investing. Practice paper trading if you really have the itch to gamble on the minute charts, and more likely than not you'll find out its harder than it looks to be successful.
