I am graduate of Northeast High and I always envied Ely. Alot of my friends were in Ely's Band in the early mid 90's, which is where I wanted to go coming out of PBMS. I always thought of you just as good as FAMU. You know how to have FUN!!!
I remember this day boy when iheard them i was like o shit that shit was so raw and everybody was gettin it...I had fun at band camp especially at the party..YEZZZURR
AWESOME SONG! Im actually wondering who originally does this song at all. I want to try and write it for my school's marching band but i dont know who does the song. Gotta love FAMU!
thats the best thing about tuba, and that is being heard and making a statement.from time to time a blast here and there isnt going to hurt.(this from a tuba player)
Goose, I saw a perdominately white band from the west coast of Florida in the Battle of the Bands at FIU stadium a couple years ago. You could tell they were FAMU influenced. And they Rocked The House. Their Announcer said, "You think White Boys Can't Dance." Oh, It was ON. Gables school spirit REALLY needs it. Only if the Band Director will let them play it.
FAMU has lost its luster in the recent years. the Hazing is gone and there isn't enough pride to pick it back up. I marched in 91-92 and it was fading a bit then. it really needs a boost to be the name it was but they are still the best int he land. the rattle is a joke now and the 90's are not clumpin like th ole dayz.
I love this yall sound good I play tuba my self I'mma try to go there for college cause yall sound amazing I'm pretty good myself the name is Q look out for me I'm a junior
(1981) Try not to be too critical, remember, no year is ever as good as your own or when you marched! The Hundred will live on, just without the old "rites of passage." Its up to the current members to find the pride and energy to maintain and shut the pretenders to the thrown down. - - Hubba Hundred
(same person dif. account) i understand its the same way at my highschool now i have no problem i was raised in a very open area with great diversity so im not goping to be surprised
