Dr. Shelby Chipman was and is the only person that could have resurrected the rich sounds and traditions of Dr. William P. Foster's world famous Marching 100. He bleeds FAMU through and through. He was taught and marched under Mr. Herbert J. Rhodes Sr a FAMU grad @Miami Northwestern Sr. High. He's going to take FAMU to the next level ....ALL ABOARD

There’s no Tuba sound like the 100!! Dark and Rich and pronounced. With more time, this band will definitely reach some new heights under Dr. Chipman! Fantastic job.. BCU will Thoroughly get waxed this year!!
no you don't have to have singing lesson... if you know your part and can play your part you should be able to sing it .. it all goes hand and hand.. its music.. if one is out of order the sound will not be complete and your sound is horrible
Y'all sound so amazing. Wow. This is the sound I remember hearing every year at ATL Classic and Homecoming. This is the sound I wish was happening when it was time for me to go to college in '13.
Picture it: The band strikes up the chant as the football team waits in the tunnel Band comes in with the first part of the song When it gets to the part where the tubas come in the ROTC fires the cannon and the football team runs on to the field. Tuba break and chant Then tubas and percussion fall off just leaving the crowd doing the chant with the announcers and football team hyping it up Band comes in to play one last round of the song then it ends. The crowd goes wild!
