- As the best-selling 3-row luxury midsize SUV in the segment, the latest #AcuraMDX gets its first refresh since this current #MDX was introduced about 3 years ago. Both the #MDXAdvance and #MDXTypeS finally ditch the True TouchPad interface for an actual touch-screen, while all models get new wheel designs and an updated front fascia. It goes on sale in May 2024.

Shout out to Rob🙌🏽
Rut Oh, Sofyan...Rob gonna take your job!!😂😂😂 Great job, Rob!!!
Rob's title in the intro as "Editor/ The help" 😂😂😂
😂😂
hahahaha great catch 😂
Catchy. 😂😂 refreshing to see him.
A touchscreen! THANK GOD!!!!
The true touch will be missed 🤧
really ? that's all you care for a car ?
@@slamdunk118 try to see the bigger picture; the pad was probably the single most agreed-upon gripe in reviews of the 22-24'. Between that and early mention of the drivetrain getting tweaked, it's a good sign Acura was paying attention to feedback.
So glad they’re getting rid of the touchpad. That alone prevented me from ever considering Acura. Genesis does a much better job having a touchscreen and a rotary dial.
Wish they got rid of the push button transmission too!!
I end up buying different suv for one of this reason. 😢
You are absolutely correct.
The finger scroll is even worse on the MDX. So I visited genesis and they have a rotary dial.
Myself, I am opposite. Now I need to get 2024 leftovers, because I love touchpad which superiorly easy to use. I have 2023 RDX and fully enjoy it
We’re on our 4th MDX. We didn’t care for the touch pad at first but we’ve come to love it. Never any prints on the screen and my wife is short and she never has to reach for the screen.
"The Help" you guys have jokes😂. Great job Rob!
Acura styling is top notch!
Okay Rob! You did a great job. I see we’re getting all kinds of changes on this channel this year. I’m here for it! I was missing Sofyans snarky review style though 😂 He has a way of throwing subtle shade at these carmakers while still staying professional 😂❤
Good to see Rob give his take 👍🏾👍🏾
The best compliment any of us can give you is, there is very little difference between this video ( my first with Rob as the "presenter" ) and another one with Sofyan. I've enjoyed watching you get better and better while filming for him. I knew you would do a good job if you ever got in front of the camera.
Whoa, Rob?! He did a great job!
It’s the Mary J. Blige on the touchscreen for me 😂
“the help” 😂
As someone that bought one last year for the family, a sigh of relief that I’m not missing out on any crazy new refresh. 😅
The touchpad isn’t bad at all especially when you get used to it.
My wife has a ‘22 TLX A-Spec and I agree it’s really not bad once you adapt to it. In Apple CarPlay it’s a bit awkward initially cuz it’s not the 1:1 positioning, but moving the selector around isn’t terribly unintuitive either. I think a lot of reviewers complain about it for the sake of people agreeing with them but I’m able to navigate it without looking because I’m used to wear everything is at.
I have a 22 MDX Advance, and despite almost 3 years of use, I still don't Like the TTIP. It's Terrible in AA or CP mode. I ususally use the HUD selector and /or steering wheel selectors [and once you learn the Short Cuts Icon = that helps too] to select variuos things I need. And anybody who should use the car (like a family memeber on occassion), can't stand it. Ideally , Acura should have included Both.
@@Chiroman527...if you don't mind, what are you referencing by TTIP mode, AA & TP ?
Rob, good job with the review. You should do more. Make Sofyan hold the camera and be quiet more often.
Great review…thanks!
Sooo many upgrades/changes to look forward to!!
Cool to see Rob doing a review! Keep it up!
Great job Rob! I see they got you doing double duty this time. Filming and presenting. Love how you zing Sofyans' height every chance you got lol. Was also wondering why Alex wasn't there to step in like usual but there he was.
You killed it rob… great job!
Excellent work, Rob!
Rob u did great.. hope u do more videos man. Good job!
"The help" 😂😂😂 Great review, Rob!! And the car ain't bad either!
Great job, Rob!!! There need to be more reviews with you in it!
Getting back to the MDX, really glad Acura is ditching the touchpad. When I bought my current car, I passed on the RDX mainly because of the touchpad.
Wow it’s nice to see Rob in front of the camera ~~ usually we see him behind the camera but seeing his take on this refreshed MDX is very nice to see ~~ Good job Rob 👏👏👏
I actually quite like this refreshed MDX, especially this Type S. The styling is definitely different and I don’t think that Acura really needed to change much, so very nice Acura with this slight changes.
Hell yeah nice work Rob!!👊
Great Job Rob!!!! Sofian, watch out!
Nice job, Rob! You made a great Sofyan replacement for this video. Glad they ditched the horrid trackpad on the MDX!
Great job Rob👊🏽👊🏽
Happy to see Rob on the review side for this one, rather than in the passenger seat! Haha
Rob did amazing!! Great video!
Great Job Rob!!
Hi Rob! Lol great job as always.
You did a great job Rob
It's nice to see Rob on this side of the camera
You did a great Rob!
Rob did a great job hosting!
That touchpad is a huge upgrade for this 2025 MDX. Which is heavens from Acura, and also Acura will be unveiling an HR-V variant called the ADX or CDX also for 2025.💯🙌🏻
Great job with the review.
Yay Rob is in front of the camera a must see👏👏👏
Awesome job Rob!!!🫡
Good job Rob 🤙 !
Great job on this Rob 👏
The help…nice touch
Good job Rob. Great preview
Great job Rob! Hope you get more opps!!
Cool, Robline Reviews! 👍🏻
Mannnnn Rob is awesome as an good substitute
I like how the design for the front fascia for the Integra Type S and now the MDX Type S, is influenced by AMG 63 models. That’s a good thing.
I could be wrong but the levelling suspension button you showed was actually the walkaway tailgate feature.
Awesome job Rob ✅✅✅
You did great job rob!!!❤👏
Good job Rob!
Rob great job mate keep it up
Besides the grill shape, this is really nice. maybe they could do a trapezoid grill in the future.
At 6:15, I believe that is just a "walk away close button" for the power tailgate, not a self leveling feature to lower vehicle. Unless that's a new feature for 2025...
It’s still the same icon for walk away close button. He made a mistake there.
Type S has lowering feature when you put in park for ingress and egress and would therefor make it easier to load items in the back.
Yes, there is a setting for putting into park to retain or set default ride height. But that doesn’t have anything to do with the walk away button for closing the hatch.
Alex has taste in music!!! Love MJB!
did you get to test the sound? how did you find it compared to the ELS sound system?
As much as I love the MDX, the TTL was the one I couldn’t get past. I’m so glad they got rid of it. Can’t wait for this to drop so I can get it!
Side note the bronze/brown wheels on the TLX Type S look wonderful
What a power couple! Nice job Rob!
Not a power couple... lol But Sofyan and Rob make a great business partner team :)
Let's go Rob, good job!
Awesome job Rob! I hate to say it, but you’re smoother and more articulate than Sofyan! 🤫 well keep that between us 😂
The touch screen is nice, but the better option would have been to allow touch screen and touch pad at the same time. All of the UI updates seem less elegant, and i’m not a big fan of the alacantra patches on the type-s seats. They must be getting rid of the base type S for 25. They only sell the base type s through special order right now.
10:28 I saw what you did there. Redline! 😊
Nice review good work 👍🏻 💪🏻 🎉
Rob you did an excellent job….you need to substitute more often ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great job Rob! However, one mistake I see is that you used the incorrect word 'unfortunately', when as everyone knows it should be 'sadly'. LOL
@redline Reviews. you guys need to start your own podcast discussing cars , life etc.... both rob and sofyan . Also this acura mdx type s looks better than every modern Bmw on sale today lol
Whats up with some of u guys hating on bmws. Its crazy😂 i always say if people have time to hate then really its them who are the haters. I never heard someone say my new bmw looks better than every acura out there😂😂
@@ACURACALABAR11 you dont make sense. Ask A.I to help you form articulate sentences...
Good relief for new buyers to have touch screen for me as 2024 Aspec owner I don’t really care about touch screen rather use the touch pad and have a clean screen
Standard pano roof on all trims is a nice touch!
The pre-refresh front end looks better than three refreshed version with the air intakes in the lower half of the front bumper
Alex over there creeping about in the back lol
A very nice and thorough product review Rob. But did Acura really leave out a 110V household outlet? We've owned 3 MDX's in the past but our last 3 cars have had a 110 plug and not sure I'd want a vehicle without it nowadays.
will older models get update on the applecarplay to be full screen?
Alex helped😂 Thanks
That button in the back is for the walk away lift gate btw. Not the suspension.
Does the advance package for Type S means it has the saddle brown seats instead of the standard red and black ones offered on Type S as the only options today?
I know you mentioned HUD and 9 way massage seats as part of the advance package on Type S
Finally, Acura comes with touch screen 😊
How does the B&O sound versus the old ELS? Huge ELS fan.
That price is building my house from start to finish in my country. I already have the land.
Now, is this setup going to carry over to the TLX? Because its in a situation where it already got refreshed once.🤔
Hey, you did good bro👍👍👍
Good job 👏
6:17 I’m pretty sure this button is the ‘walk away’ feature that closes the tailgate if your hands are full.
best looking suv on the market period.
I wonder if I can buy the screen and add it to the older model?
"The Help" Damn Rob.
Did they add air vents to the 3rd row area?
Rob!!!! Please more of you in the camera!
hi, have you added night vision?
They do make a purple MDX, it's just that no dealers have them.
Love the touch screen. I liked better the previous rims on the type s hope there are still available as an option. 🙏🏼
That's not a "leveling/suspension button" at 6:18. That button is for closing the hatch when you walk away from it.
@6:18 this feature is called walk away feature which closes the tailgate after you walk away from it. It's not for lowering the suspension!
Does the type S have a boost gauge?
That touchpad was a hard stop for me when I test drove the 2024 last week. Seeing that new touch screen is a huge sigh of relief! It'll definitely be worth it to wait for the 2025 :)
Have they gotten the rearview camera on it? Seems like that comes with a lot of cars nowadays as an option ( love how in the Toyota’s u can click to have it camera or regular rear view mirror )
Only about 10% in sales for the MDX TYPE S makes sense. People really think anyone just has $75k to purchase a vehicle. Absolutely it’s a gorgeous looking truck but it’s very expensive and during these times, it’s just not the kind of money people are spending. At least the average person. Just because you can afford it, doesn’t mean everyone else can. That said, I expect at least the advance or A-SPEC to outsell this trim. THIS is exactly how the type s should’ve looked like from the beginning. Is it worth $75k? It’s always subjective especially when you have German rivals in that dollar amount. To each their own.
I am pretty sure if they introduce hybrid, it will outsell the Type S. Too bad, they aren’t doing hybrids anymore.
Great review! I wonder why Acura didn't make RDX type S. It seems that would be much better than MDX..
Hopefully they follow suit and change the 25' TLX to touchscreen
