OK. Over 6k hours in roll20 here, and I just learned something super useful - I never knew you could drag abilities from sheets straight to the macro bar! Thanks.
A video that definitely lives up to its title! As a lot of D&D games are switching over to VTT, these videos are really useful! As someone who basically had to crash course roll20 with just about 48 hours, I am very grateful for your help!
Some of those were simple, while a couple I hadn't even thought of (dragging attacks to macro bar). Great vid for anyone to watch! Also if you click the 2 squares on the top left of a character sheet it also opens as a browser that you can drag to a second monitor
I’m glad you liked it! Make sure to check out the updated version of this video (link in description) since this one is out of date and some of the tips have changed!
You might have run into this already, but be aware that Roll20 changed the movement keys since this video was made. You now use right mouse button instead of space bar to set waypoints during movement. It mostly works the same though, just a different key.
Very cool, learnt a neat trick with Drag & Drop Macros but how do you delete them? When you right-click you only get option to "Rename" or change color of button
Never mind. It took some tinkering but I got it. Great video. Thanks. The macros are awesome. I have added the Initiative, Skill Check, Saving Throws, and Ability Checks to my tool bar.
Did they get rid of the Token Drag + Space feature? I don't see anything when I try to use that to trace movement. Ah! It seems to be Q now: wiki.roll20.net/Ruler
They didn't get rid of it, but they changed the hot key from Space to "Q". You can also right-click while dragging to achieve the same result. To view a tokens most recent path, select the token and press "X".
I am running a Pathfinder 2e campaign. I have the Macro Bar turned on, but I cannot seem to be able to drag abilities from the character sheet to the macro bar. Is anyone else having this happen? Jim
Just had the same thought... Brandon McKee below just posted: "Drag+spacebar has changed to drag+q or drag+rclick for waypoints. And last path is x." Those are super helpful and also super hard to remember!
This is a great video. I have been wanting to do some R20 tip videos for gamemasters but I'm letting myself be blocked by the task of setting up my workstation to do video recording & editing. Would you be interested in collaborating? I would write the scripts if you would do the narration & recording.

I'm glad they decided to put absolutely none of this in the tutorial!
Some of the commands in this video have changed. Be sure to check out the updated version: ruclips.net/video/bOqQdjs1tUY/видео.html
For the people that discovere this video. For Number 3:
You need to drag a token and press a single time Q or Right Mouse Button.

Perhaps they've changed it in newer versions. The video's like 2 years old...
Thanks, bro!
THX I WAS GOING NUTS!
Drag+spacebar has changed to drag+q or drag+rclick for waypoints. And last path is x.
First time watching one of this individual's videos
Holy shit, his voice is gorgeous
Quick and to the point but very effective. Subscribed.
Thanks so much John! I appreciate it!
Me too
Tip number one has already given me hop after struggling to control the cursors on a big page! I'm eager for the other tips now...

Life-saving. Thank you!
My dude! You gave 5 great tips!
alt+double click goes right to character sheet, shift+double click goes to bio page. Just saves a click.
Great Tip! I did not know the difference.
Acid trumpet soundtrack on point
Tom Salamunovich you know we are on that Kevin Macleod tip!
Very helpful, just many more than five tips! 😉

Just drag the button off of the bar and drop it anywhere on the map to make it disappear!
@@CharlieQueenTV I can't get that to work. When I click on it well it wants to roll. lol How do I grab it??
