I actually kind of liked this one. Probably because it didn't try to go for cheap shock value with gore. The top-notch BG art and voice acting helped too, for sure!

It's bone chilling, Aerie, makes you wanna keep reading but terrifies you at the same time. Amazing job to the author, VAs and Artists for bringing this to life! Haven't heard this one in a while. I originally listened to the Nimbus Productions version. This one definitely has more quality to it. Though it's kinda funny, listening to the part with Scootaloo and her parents now, as we actually have ponies to imagine as her parents now. Seeing them in the art is a nice touch too. Obviously don't have that in the Nimbus Productions version
I've heard that T-spring or whatever ad so often I'm saying every line perfectly in sink and match the emotions dead on every time and I love it, lol. Also, great story, one of my favorite creepypastas, love to hear it in pony terms.

An excellent reading with some STELLAR artwork. While I'm nostalgic, how about a few notes? -At the time, 'Slender' was my story with the quickest turnaround from concept to completion. I spent an all-nighter banging out the plot and writing the thing, and ended up finishing right as the sun rose. -There were in fact two sequels I wrote across the next two years, kind of a Halloween tradition. 'Return to Slender' is about Big Mac returning to Ponyville to avenge his family, and 'Lunar Slender' sees Princess Luna as the last chance for Equestria's salvation. Neither are very good, sadly, though diving into the Slender One's origins in the third story was quite fun. -My first collaboration with my dear friend, the artist Swirling Line, was a comic adaptation of this story. A number of the pages have sadly vanished over the years, but the rest can be found on my blog on FIMFiction. -'Grogar: a Hearth's Warming Horror Story' is very much the spiritual successor to this story, as can be best seen in the parallels between Applejack's journey through the woods here and her excursion upstairs in 'Grogar.' -I've written many horror stories since this one, but I'll always consider the final scene with Granny Smith to be the one of the most viscerally creepy pieces I've ever managed to capture. Can I say that those last moments before the end were the most chilling, every time Granny Smith blinks her eyes it gets closer and closer until the final moment then it just goes silent.
Something I can't help but wonder is why they didn't go straight to Luna when the nightmares started to crop up. Like why not go to the literal Princess of the Night who is able to dreamwalk as well?
Yeah, especially the part with Scootaloo and her parents. It's good that, when the story was originally written, Jade Ring didn't describe them. Let's people imagine Mane and Snap now when reading it and the artwork honestly made me feel happy, despite the fact Scootaloo was going to be one of Slendermane's next victims.

I can see this story simultaneously getting and not getting the praise it deserves, simply because of the monster involved. If the creature had been anything else, it wouldn't get the hate or the "this is a copy of a creepy pasta" comments. But then again, it wouldn't get the people who are wanting a Slender story either.
Hopefully Ep2 will be out in the first week of July. The audio is done and most of the art too. This ep is an hour and fifteen minutes long and has a lot more characters than Ep1 so it took longer to make.

I can see this story simultaneously getting and not getting the praise it deserves, simply because of the monster involved. If the creature had been anything else, it wouldn't get the hate or the "this is a copy of a creepy pasta" comments. But then again, it wouldn't get the people who are wanting a Slender story either.

Hopefully Ep2 will be out in the first week of July. The audio is done and most of the art too. This ep is an hour and fifteen minutes long and has a lot more characters than Ep1 so it took longer to make.
