Grogar swaggered into the throne room as he approached the bound alicorn who glared at him with cold fury. Grogar looked upon Celestia with sadistic glee, seeming to delight in her misery. Without a word, he lowered his sack to the floor and opened it to allow Celestia to see inside. Celestia could feel her heart stop and her blood freeze as she took in the forms of seven fillies. A snow white unicorn, two pegasi, one blue with a rainbow mane and the other yellow, two earth ponies, one orange and the other pink, and two alicorns, one purple and the other midnight blue with a starry mane. The seven fillies looked at her with empty eye sockets that rained tears as they laughed joylessly. Celestia hung loosely in her chains as her strength seemed to vanish. Grogar laughed cruelly as he closed his sack and made to leave, content to leave the fallen princess to spend the rest of her eternal life in misery. He failed to notice the tiny embers which began to spark to life throughout Celestia's mane and how her chains had begun to warp and melt. Grogar was halfway to the door when he finally noticed that the temperature was beginning to rise. He turned just in time to see a wall of flames racing towards him. Summoning all of his power, he created a barrier of frigid air which just barely stopped the flames from reaching him. When the fire finally dissipated, Grogar looked upon the being that descended from the throne and for the first time in eons, the immortal ice demon felt a very mortal chill run down his spine. The alicorn, her mane and tail replaced with solar flames, glared at Grogar with orange eyes that burned with absolute hatred. Where once had stood the embodiment of motherly love was a being that could only be described as rage incarnate. Princess Celestia was no more. Daybreaker would have her revenge.

Man, I remember the tension I felt waiting for each chapter when you first released this reading. I was on eage, hoping that at least AJ, Diamond and Apple Bloom would all survive by the end and get to Twilight so they could use the Elements... only for AJ's fate to break my heart and the revelation of Ponyville causing my gut to drop. On the upside, I'm pretty sure even Grogar can't stand up to the Lord of Chaos and once Discord learns he took Fluttershy, whatever he originally intended to do to the Changelings when he learned they took her will pale to the suffering he'll put Grogar through

Grogar couldn’t kill 4 phillies, was was unarmed one hit him with a bed, and the other two sent him back home with a fire. I’m sure Discord could kill him
That was the craziest fic dude. It didn’t rely on gore to make me shudder. I was taking a walk in the snow as I listened to this, god did that add to the fear
Celestia isn't god, she's just a really powerful Alicorn and alicorn's aren't beings of divine power either. The only thing close to gods are the " spirits" ( Discord, spirit of chaos, windigos spirits of disharmony, the tree of harmony, spirit of harmony) and Grogar in this story is the spirit of hearts-warming, the evil one but still a spirit, so he should be superior to Celestia

At first I was expecting one of the usual “Friendship wins every time in the end” story But frankly I think that ending did it justice and I was actually spooked when it did happen.

I think the thing i applaud most is the twist ending, it was both genuinely unexpected and made perfect sense that it would happen. Really a well done story and fantasticly done performance from everyone
This is a very frightfully good story... with wonderful voice acting (as always!) 💛 Grogar sounds like Krampus and Schmutzli. I personally like la Befana... a witch on a broom stick that delivers presents to children.

Holy crap. I was expecting this story to have a happy ending. I knew this was a horror story but I didn’t expect it to get this dark. I really wanted a happy ending for every pony. Dozing Fowl actually that is grogar with out his bell I think grogar tryed to attack dream Valley back when Granny Smith was young by finding a 2nd bell not as powerful as his 1st one but still power full enough to come out of hiding but pumpkin patch stopped him by steeling the bell just after the barn doors had been closed when she was at the verge of death she hides the bell in the snow but grogar or though didn’t find the bell he found her and then she was in the sack and then buried by grogar with no eyes so he goes back into hiding and he’s original plan was to attack dreams valley and then every single town after that but pumpkin patch stopped him before he could carry out the rest of his plan that was until many years later when he’s original bell will be destroyed in the season 9 Finale he goes back to dream valley and find his old golden bell he puts it on and it says go from yellow to red and then he strikes again at every single town after dream Valley except for the changelings and Track and sea Equestria and except for Cadence and Luna and Celestia herself and except for Flurry Heart but Everypony else is gone including the young 6s kind well except for SilverStream so yeah it’s going to be a dark ending in my season 10 episode 0
And after silver spoon ran out of the hole in the roof she died in the snow and grogar’s new bell buried her along with the others in the snow and the bell set off to find it’s master grogar but It never will because grogar is dead thanks to Apple bloom and Diamond tiara so The bell wander’s off for a bit and then loses its power and falls to the ground burying itself deep in the bushes and in the Earth about 15 Metres ware it corrode’s over the course of yet another year and this time grogar stay in hiding but dies only after a week so yeah Apple bloom and Diamond tiara didn’t kill him they just banished him back in the hiding on the this time he dies off because without any more bells he gives up and except‘s death after 50,000 years of being alive and knowing that he still won even without Sweetie Bell Button Mash and apple bloom and Diamond tiara dead along with him not counting the survivors that he deliberately left alone that is because he didn’t want to bother and one of them he just couldn’t find which was Sea Equestria and the 4 Alacorns not counting Twilight sparkle because she was on his list as well so he still would have won Ether way
It's not probably at this point, the constant amonunt of leaks have made it most likely or guarenteed(and since he still is the most powerful being in all of mlp and acts as the world's greatest evil, having him as the season finale villain is natural)
I mean if they unironically would have made this grogar cannon they'd would have needed to air the two parter in the evening and like on a ''mature'' channel or something. Otherwise the letters from the disturbed parents would be overwhelming, but hilarious at the same time.

Personally, I don’t think that Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara went insane at the end. It just looked like they were both shocked at the whole ordeal and happy to have somehow survived it. Plus being kids their reaction will generally be more volatile.

Holy crap. I was expecting this story to have a happy ending. I knew this was a horror story but I didn’t expect it to get this dark. I really wanted a happy ending for every pony. I listened to this last year, and dang still love the story. Like I remembered the parts of scootalo, marble crying, the ending, and sweetie belle in love with button... those are the general things I remembered

Am I the only person who wonders what would’ve happened if someone in the story said that Santa Hooves was based on a pony who was most likely long dead? Kind of like Saint Nicolas in our world.

Dozing Fowl actually that is grogar with out his bell I think grogar tryed to attack dream Valley back when Granny Smith was young by finding a 2nd bell not as powerful as his 1st one but still power full enough to come out of hiding but pumpkin patch stopped him by steeling the bell just after the barn doors had been closed when she was at the verge of death she hides the bell in the snow but grogar or though didn’t find the bell he found her and then she was in the sack and then buried by grogar with no eyes so he goes back into hiding and he’s original plan was to attack dreams valley and then every single town after that but pumpkin patch stopped him before he could carry out the rest of his plan that was until many years later when he’s original bell will be destroyed in the season 9 Finale he goes back to dream valley and find his old golden bell he puts it on and it says go from yellow to red and then he strikes again at every single town after dream Valley except for the changelings and Track and sea Equestria and except for Cadence and Luna and Celestia herself and except for Flurry Heart but Everypony else is gone including the young 6s kind well except for SilverStream so yeah it’s going to be a dark ending in my season 10 episode 0
And after silver spoon ran out of the hole in the roof she died in the snow and grogar’s new bell buried her along with the others in the snow and the bell set off to find it’s master grogar but It never will because grogar is dead thanks to Apple bloom and Diamond tiara so The bell wander’s off for a bit and then loses its power and falls to the ground burying itself deep in the bushes and in the Earth about 15 Metres ware it corrode’s over the course of yet another year and this time grogar stay in hiding but dies only after a week so yeah Apple bloom and Diamond tiara didn’t kill him they just banished him back in the hiding on the this time he dies off because without any more bells he gives up and except‘s death after 50,000 years of being alive and knowing that he still won even without Sweetie Bell Button Mash and apple bloom and Diamond tiara dead along with him not counting the survivors that he deliberately left alone that is because he didn’t want to bother and one of them he just couldn’t find which was Sea Equestria and the 4 Alacorns not counting Twilight sparkle because she was on his list as well so he still would have won Ether way
Oh and grogar said the bell can’t be destroyed by a unicorn not by Alacorn

It's not probably at this point, the constant amonunt of leaks have made it most likely or guarenteed(and since he still is the most powerful being in all of mlp and acts as the world's greatest evil, having him as the season finale villain is natural)

Personally, I don’t think that Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara went insane at the end. It just looked like they were both shocked at the whole ordeal and happy to have somehow survived it. Plus being kids their reaction will generally be more volatile.
I enjoyed this very much last year. I tell you what listening to this at like 3 in the morning in the pitch black does not do ya good.

Actually they went insane seeing ponyville and everyone else Punished by grogar and I mean when he comes to town everyone is punished even those that weren’t in the main spot where the whole event started
