I was spending ridiculous amount of money on roasted seaweeds sheets.i tried this today with the one last hanging seaweed sheet.this is amazing. Its super similar to the store bought ones.i sprinkled some spice mix to add some more flavour.it was super good.thanks for this.im never buying roasted seaweed sheets again
So I brushed oil on one side, added rice vinegar and a little more salt then you used, it was very good, they instantly became crispy like a chip and tasted very similar to a normal salt and vinegar chip with the exception of some having small hints of the actually seaweed/earthy like taste. Would recommend!
These by far are my favorite snack and they are so addictive. I purchase my seaweed in bulk so I'll be making this. I just never knew how to store it for later snacking. Thank you 😊
hi!! I would love to try it with olive oil, would you recommend it? and also, after I freeze the smaller cuts, how do I de-freeze before eating them? or do I defreeze them at all? thanks in advantage if anyone knows :)
Thank you for making this video. The individual small packets of flavoured laver can be pricey with only a few slices which will disappear in less than a minute!! Now i can make them for my kids and we can eat as much as we want... at a more economical cost 😁😁😁. Thank you again for making this useful video!
I live close to Clark and Korea Town Pampanga, Philippines, and I love Korean foods! Can you make a video on how to make seaweeds crisp from fresh seaweeds..?
Thank you for this recipe the packets get really expensive .Is it the same thing just with other flavors or is it something different that you have to do . Teriyaki flavor is the best for me.
Love roasted seaweed. Appreciate you added storage info. To add other flavors such as wasabi or ginger do you add minced or powder versions to the oil?
If you're in the United States, in a big city, and lazy see if you have an H-Mart nearby. They sell these in big bulk packages for like 5 dollars for 12 or so packages. Thanks for the recipe as always!
Thanks for the insight on the nori(idk what's the term for seaweed strips in korean) chips but quick question, can I use any type of pan in order to cook it, and should it be on medium heat? I'm trying to eat a bit healthier -_-
Thank you Soo much! I spent about $20 for a pack of the nori sheets and made some sushi rice all prepared to dig in and I could barely chew it.. uggh! Thank Goodness for google and your video it saved me from losing an entire pack of great seaweed! Thanks again.. 😊
Great superfood 👍🏻. I eat it everyday for low thyroid. It has selenium , zinc , iodine to mention a few. Helps keep my weight down Thanks for your video 🙏🇨🇦
Have been binge watching your videos.. Korean foods look so damn tasty and easier than my native food which needs quite a lot of prepping. I would like to try Korean cuisine but I have no Korean mart nearby. 🙁 But love your videos and energy and love for food. Great videos 👍
Holy shit. The ad I got before this video was of a child crying and begging for me to help her because she is dying. I've never seen ad so so brutal in my life
Nice! I'll have to test it. As olive oil is very common in European cuisine, and the one most likely to be found in a kitchen there, do you think it could work with it, instead of sesame oil?
yea thats the one i used and heres my thoughts - first thing its the same thing theres not really any difference secondly i made it and i always buy these 8 seaweed packs for$3.20 at my local Woolworths(Australia only) and to be honest not much inside the packs so its better of if you buy a pack of seaweed nori (the one you use for sushi) and just do as instructed theres no difference taste AMAZING and careful not to get addicted, Good Luck cooking
Hiii i have a question i have a stock of bag of nori here and the color of the seems like it faded. Something like a bit brown and green. Is it still advicable to eat?
Like your videos. You are so funny and humorous. Can't stop LOL when you said its the same taste for all the 3 types of seaweed. Will be checking out on your other videos.🤩😍
Thanks again for another thing I would have never thought about making, you're awesome. One question though, do you reheat the ones you put in the freezer?
great now i know what i want to do with the left over seaweed i have that has been sitting in the fridge !! but does it stay crunchy if u keep it in the freezer though ??
I love the flavor but they are usually made from laver seaweed and they have a good crunch but then immediately turn to slime in your mouth! I use them in my mock tuna salad for sandwiches and salads. I buy the Sesame packages of small squares.
Yes you can, but the seaweed flavor is lot more pronounced this way. Not bad. But if you will eat it as snack, the oil also helps the salt grains stick to it.
Thank you for sharing this! I agree that the seasoned and roasted ones are expensive. I just bought 100pcs unseasoned laver and i will do what you did here hehehe. Thank you!
Thanks because the individual packs get costly when you like them as much as I do!
EXACTLY!!!
Same
They are so delicious
For me they are 99 cents
I hear ya!! 💸

I've literally been spending 40 or $50 a month just on seaweed chips thank you so much for this video
SAME LOL

"They all taste the same" hahahah love it.
I love food taste part when he said "it all taste the same" LOL... Should love button exist definitely clicked it.
These by far are my favorite snack and they are so addictive. I purchase my seaweed in bulk so I'll be making this. I just never knew how to store it for later snacking. Thank you 😊
This is my new favorite snack food! If you love seafood or any type of fish you will fall in love.
Definitely got a fishy flavor lol take like fried fish skin . Eating some as I’m typing 😂

Thanks, Brother. I appreciate you taking the time to share.
I live close to Clark and Korea Town Pampanga, Philippines, and I love Korean foods! Can you make a video on how to make seaweeds crisp from fresh seaweeds..?
Thank you, simple & delicious 💜
I'll have to try butter. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that easy, am going to make some. I just bought some today and loves them.
Yes, you could sprinkle them after you have based the oil on top. Just like the salt.
Thanks for the honesty!
I love eating these with rice so I think I will pick some up tonight
Can you re-roast nori and make these snacks? I live in Iowa so I have to buy raw on-line, but I can buy lightly roasted at Wal-Mart!
You can roast again. That's fine, just don't burn it. I do this all the time.
If you're in the United States, in a big city, and lazy see if you have an H-Mart nearby. They sell these in big bulk packages for like 5 dollars for 12 or so packages.
Thanks for the recipe as always!
Not sure what an H-Mart is, but Costco has their store brand, Kirland, seaweed packages for about that same amount and price.
H mart is a Korean grocer. Really excellent store for a lot of Korean and some greater East Asian items (Japanese, Chinese, etc)
There's a Super G Mart in Greensboro, NC that I visit occasionally. Just picked up some doenjang, gochujang, and gochugaru there a few days ago.
I love H Mart. Bought 2 packages when I go there!
I love Your conclusion at the end that they all taste the same and the way You say it!!!
i got introduced to it by korean friends. love it.
Thank you for the recipe. Kiss from France
The wasabi flavor is my favorite. Do you have any suggestions on seasoning I could use to mimic those snacks?
İs this good with olive or sunflower oil
Thank you so much I was looking for a video like yours it’s good keep up the great work
Thanks for the insight on the nori(idk what's the term for seaweed strips in korean) chips but quick question, can I use any type of pan in order to cook it, and should it be on medium heat? I'm trying to eat a bit healthier -_-
the snacks are very hard to get in my country so thank u so much for sharing this recipe dude!
What salt is this? Sea or regular?
Thank you Soo much! I spent about $20 for a pack of the nori sheets and made some sushi rice all prepared to dig in and I could barely chew it.. uggh! Thank Goodness for google and your video it saved me from losing an entire pack of great seaweed! Thanks again.. 😊
can you do this with seaweed that's already roasted? That's what I can find at the grocery store... Thanks!
Great superfood 👍🏻. I eat it everyday for low thyroid. It has selenium , zinc , iodine to mention a few. Helps keep my weight down Thanks for your video 🙏🇨🇦

Where r u from?
Holy shit. The ad I got before this video was of a child crying and begging for me to help her because she is dying. I've never seen ad so so brutal in my life
Do we loose nutrients when we roast?
I used to hate seaweed...But now I'm addicted to it.
Amazing, thank you for this video!!
I just ate some of these today. Even my dog liked it.
Can we cook them in the microwave?
Nice! I'll have to test it. As olive oil is very common in European cuisine, and the one most likely to be found in a kitchen there, do you think it could work with it, instead of sesame oil?
Hey LR! Yea, olive oil works great too! Hope you get a chance to try it out ;)
How do you add the teriyaki and sweet chili to the seaweed thanks
I cannot wait to make these.
How do I make the Nori sheet itself!? Ughhh
thanks bro,, save my money
How do you reheat it? Or does it need to?
I have all these ingredients, thank you, i will try
I was expecting blender action and dehydrating to follow. I guess this works better than the site bought.
i have the middle one do i havef to season it and cut it
its so expensive in bnetherlands i bought one its so tasty but its 3$ for 36 gram chips
Where do you get the seaweed pouch on the left? I can't seem to find it anywhere online.
Thanks 👌👍🏻
Is the unroasted one the same as the seaweed we use for sushi?
I always finish a pack of that in no time, I love it so much
I have the same question!! Did anyone tell you the answer?
The non crispy one is for sushi and onigiri
yea thats the one i used and heres my thoughts
- first thing its the same thing theres not really any difference
secondly i made it and i always buy these 8 seaweed packs for$3.20 at my local Woolworths(Australia only) and to be honest not much inside the packs so its better of if you buy a pack of seaweed nori (the one you use for sushi) and just do as instructed theres no difference taste AMAZING and careful not to get addicted, Good Luck cooking
Thank you so much ☺️
Hiii i have a question i have a stock of bag of nori here and the color of the seems like it faded. Something like a bit brown and green. Is it still advicable to eat?
4 years later but yea its fine to eat
Like your videos. You are so funny and humorous. Can't stop LOL when you said its the same taste for all the 3 types of seaweed. Will be checking out on your other videos.🤩😍
I eat raw seaweed and rice all the time
Cool thanks! What about olive oil?
You can do olive oil, it's just going to taste a little different. There are some brands that use olive oil also.
Which side do I drop in?
Can i ask u a question.. How will i remove the fishy(really bad smell) smell of seaweed. The seaweed type is Nori
Can you use olive oil with sesame oil? Cuz grape seeds oil is very unavoidable for me
Yes olive oil will work great
My favorite!! 🤩🤩
can I use olive oil, would it be much different with that?
what is the garnish on the oils?
Thanks again for another thing I would have never thought about making, you're awesome. One question though, do you reheat the ones you put in the freezer?
our pleasure B! No - don't reheat, or else they will taste soggy. They taste good cold, or you can leave them out in room temperature to warm up.
How long can you keep them in the freezer!
Mr Bruh I followed your roasting method and seaweed's tasting so good , i swear 😭🤌🏾
That looks very tasty! gotta try this
i eat like 20 packs of these they’re soooo addicting
Gonna try it now! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks
great now i know what i want to do with the left over seaweed i have that has been sitting in the fridge !! but does it stay crunchy if u keep it in the freezer though ??
Hi June!! Gim's enemy is moisture. If you keep in airtight container (and in the freezer), they should stay crispy :)
Future Neighbor cool ! I hate soggy 김 !
Should we store the unseasoned and unroasted one in the freezer too? Or the fridge is fine?
“A little bit of salt “
-places whole bowl on the table -
Nice video btw xD
I like 👍 it so delicious 😋
thank you for this!!!
Can i use vegetable oil?
is it the same with Nori? japanese seaweed? its the only available here.
imadele14 Hey imadele! It's virtually identical - Japanese seaweed is typically sold unroasted and unsalted. So perfect to follow along ;)
You’re hilarious! We were all holding our breath… and then you say, “To be honest, they all taste the same.” LOL LOL But VERY good to know! *Thanks!*
Do you have to have sesame oil?
thank youuuu
I'm addicted to these but the ones i buy at Trader Joe's have wasabi flavor... how would i incorporate that?
Thank you
Thankyou now I can make my own 😘😘😘😘
I love the flavor but they are usually made from laver seaweed and they have a good crunch but then immediately turn to slime in your mouth! I use them in my mock tuna salad for sandwiches and salads. I buy the Sesame packages of small squares.
Is it okay to use olive oil instead of sesame oil
sesame has a distinct taste, it's going to taste a little different
Season it with papirika i swear it changes everything
Love it! 💝👍
Thanks!!
And for the video!
With an air fryer I wonder if this could speed up the roasting step and being able to layer a few and roasting them at the same time 🤨🤨💭hmm
I love them
Wow thank you so much! You're straight to the point unlike that Mommytang who took 33mins just to make that snack. She loves hearing herself uck.
Finally, i have those unroasted sheets so i was planning to throw them cz i dunno what to do with them . Now i do ! Haha
U could have make kimbab with it.
My fast recipe is just some meat sesame seeds rice mayonaise and spicy noodles sauce...wrap seaweed around it
Mouth watering
Can you skip the oil and do a dry roast?
Yes you can, but the seaweed flavor is lot more pronounced this way. Not bad. But if you will eat it as snack, the oil also helps the salt grains stick to it.
Im glad i saw this video! ❤️ i dont have to order the snack made anymore, i can make my own. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this! I agree that the seasoned and roasted ones are expensive. I just bought 100pcs unseasoned laver and i will do what you did here hehehe. Thank you!
final result is ,, They all the same,,😭😂😂😂😂😂😂
Did you use regular salt or sea salt
Hi Anna! Regular dinner salt works perfectly fine ;)
So you just fry nori-leaves in oil for these?
How is this not the cheapest thing to buy?
I bought them roasted and and roasted them again but they still taste and smell bad is that normal for seaweed ?! 😅
Hello Katie here~ Hmm i think it depends on the quality of the seaweed too~ Where did you buy the seaweed?
Yum
