WWII Pearl Harbor troop train featuring P42DC #184, on a 70-75 degree day in Southern California. F59PHI #457 leading the southbounds. (EXCELLENT K5LA on this unit)
Note: Experimented with slightly softer focus on a few shots starting from train #2.

Train #1) 8:45am. First shot of the day. Amtrak #564 in Laguna Niguel, CA.with F59PHI #457 leading the 10 car train!
1:14) 9:28am. Train #2) - Amtrak #564 Chased to the Carlsbad Village Coaster station.
2:21) 10:18am. Train #3) - Same train chased to Washington Street
3:08) Amtrak P42DC #184 in downtown San Diego, CA.
3:35) Train #4) 10:48am - Amtrak #573 passing through Palm st.
4:18) Train #5 - 11:12am BONUS TRAIN #1
4:56) Train #6) - 11:15am. Same train (573) chased to Sorrento Valley.
5:50) Train #7) - 11:47am. Chased to Tamarack Ave in Carlsbad, CA.
6:53) Train #8) - 12:39pm. Chased to South Orange County
8:05) Train #9) - 12:51pm. Chased all the way back to Laguna Niguel.
8:42) Train #10) - 4:38pm. BONUS TRAIN #2
10:13) Train #11) - 4:42pm. Amtrak #580, with F59PHI #457 back in the lead.
10:51) Train #12) 7:39pm. Amtrak #591, with P42DC #184 LEADING with AWESOME HORN, and flying through the Carlsbad Village coaster station!
11:55) Train #13) 8:30pm. Same train chased to the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink station.
13:10) Train #14) 8:40pm. BONUS TRAIN #3

The American concern for such magnificent train sets shud, I suppose maybe make some efforts at introducing them to the Malaysian National Railways,where I reside,to probably counter propose the planned High Speed Train (HST).These abuv examples are so spacious & seemingly way more comfortable than any intended HST,wic in themselves are somewhat cramped with interiors resembling that of only regional commuter aircraft. In fact,no HST will ever have a safe enuf max.speed or for that matter the max.speed or a low enuf fare or the time savings to beat any present day 'Low Cost Air Carrier'. These days,the "In" thing with travelers' practices are that they "like getting there (to the destination) fast & then taking things slow (enjoy a slow paced,unhurried tour)".For those that have made their choices by traveling in slower speed mode of transport,such as trains,will have to accept the usual operating speeds at wic these vehicles travel. Besides these such huge trains offer by far much more freedom for working the legs than any airliner can. Traveling on spacious trains as these are in themselves an experience of its own.
