- Recently my parish used the Life Teen confirmation program called Purpose with our teenagers. Today I am sharing my honest review of Purpose: the pros and cons, what I really liked, and what I wish could have been different about the program. Preparing our teens for confirmation is an important job, so I hope this review and sharing my opinoin will be helpful for anyone considering program choices and looking for more information. God bless!

Thanks for the great video. Question-how is the material-is it theologically sound and accords with Church teaching? Thanks again.
Hi, John- I have not seen anything in it that contradicts Church teaching. OTOH, as I mentioned, some of the material dives pretty deep for the teenagers we teach here (generally rising freshmen). We just did a summer session of Confirmation prep here using Purpose again, and this time we lightened up a bit on some of the heavy vocabulary and philosophy and instead used that time to have the teens learn about and perform a work of mercy that corresponded to the theme of each lesson. That was a blessing for us all here- we brought in some guest speakers as well, including a guest priest who spoke about vocations.
