  • I became aware of The Disintegration Loops a couple of years ago, and whilst the music itself was intriguing enough, the backstory was even more compelling to me.
In this video essay I break down the artist, William Basinski, his process of creating music and the events which led up to The Disintegration Loops being created.
    I hope you enjoy!

I think these documental style videos about the themes and backgrounds of different albums really shine a light on the passion and creativity that comes with every different project.
I personally didn't knew this one, but I'll be sure to give It a try because it sounded really interesting. Thanks for the great video

Came back to this again expecting it to have garnered at least half the recognition the EATEOT iceberg video has and… what the hell?
Still worth it, though. Thanks for exposing me to this art piece.

These music/album reviews and analyses are a really cool video format. Can't really think of anything specific, but I'd love to see you cover some kind of synthwave album or artist with this format.

funny thing is, the 'ookiiani' name was a Vaporwave/Synthwave alias to begin with. I still produce music as ookiiani but it took more of a kinda weird instrumental/funk/electronic form eventually. I'm slowly gearing up to post some live music performances of me performing my stuff which may be your kind of thing!

@@ookiiani id definitely love to see anything you've got! Both original music and analyses/documentaries would definitely be a nice combo, especially since it fills that particular niche that not many other channels try to cover.

My lord you deserve more views, the idea that disintegration can be auditorily shown in music is deeply fascinating to me, I can't wait to listen to this album later.

wow, now that's art in its purest form. I believe the best of art has to come from experience and suffering... and this definitely exemplifies it.
    Thanks for making this.

Funnily enough I only heard about it when I was getting heavily into the Caretaker a couple years ago, and then just got obsessed with the story behind it. I love the whole concept of art being paired with a deep storyline, it makes me appreciate it so much more

Usually I'm all out and about telling people they suck or telling them their opions are wrong, or that videos suck
But today I feel a bit different, I think You've got a good start to a YT Channel and I'll be in for the ride.
