Yea, when I saw the sign saying, "Our tax dollars are funding genocide" I snickered thinking, I probably paid more income taxes than every protester there combined. The Seattle police are pretty much worthless, but big city police departments all over the country are walking on eggshells and can't do their jobs. I think many of them don't want to do their jobs anyway and love sitting on their asses eating donuts.

That's true, but the concern here is that the U.S. isn't actively giving aid to Afghanistan in 2024 like they are to Israel. Also, in Afghanistan, both men and women can get stoned for certain offenses, so that's not even a valid concern since this isn't concern over the treatment of men vs women, it's over their hard-earned money going to another country. They could protest inside the library or DMV, but you'd complain about that too

Shouldn't they be protesting where the people (politicians) are located? Like in front of their state capitol. A lot of those people had been boycotting places like McDonald’s and soda stream, etc. My friends literally bought 100 mcchickens today because they were angry our friend WHO WAS ON THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL was stuck on the 880 in California for several hours. I heard a few people joke that they should fund an extra bomb for every protester. People were saying to “chop off the arms of the terrorists” to get them out of the barrels.
I know a lot of these people and they were on the “stop arming Israel” side. I sincerely think protesters have made a mistake in this instance. What people see with this is Palestine and then Chaos. I wasn’t inconvenienced by this today, but if I’d been, I can’t say I’d feel too inclined to be on the side that gets random people fired from their jobs, people in need of medical care delayed, and stops kids from getting to school.

Just like on a roadway, preventing people from leaving and creating a trapped environment is either kidnapping or false imprisonment. Any halfway decent lawyer or prosecutor should be able to make such charges stick. All it would take is a few dozen of them to do hard time before they all got the message that this behavior and "right" does NOT extend to public thoroughfares where people become trapped or their movement is impeded.
