it was written as そこに in the original (which is very basic "over there", like ここに means "here"), not 底に, but it's true that it can be a pun. Oda does this kind of things from time to time. この世の全てをそこに置いてきた = I left everything in the world over there この世の全てを底に置いてきた = I left everything in the world at the bottom The reading is the same but the meaning is quite different. Nice find.
So did they teach you about how the Japanese used to rape and torture people and did things like starve people for weeks and then feed them a pound of dried rice then forced them to drink until they eventually exploded?
I think the silhouettes we see are just representing Vegapunk’s imagination in a vague way. He knows Joyboy had the Nika fruit powers like luffy and has read descriptions of it so after seeing Luffy he kind of just imagines someone who looks like Luffy in a vague silhouette.
One other thing I didn’t mention but ought to be considered is that we know Gear 5 Luffy can become Giant size… it could be that Joyboy was already. Buccaneer size person who used the fruit to become smaller. Why I can’t say. But again, to my above point, unless Vegapunk knows what race Joyboy was and so far nothing has implied that he does, he just thinks of someone approximate to Luffy in Gear 5.
But remember this recording was done before he found out or even saw luffy nika form. He recently found out during the ark. So for him to imagine joyboy like luffy is not possible. I think from the information he gathered. He knows what form joyboy was. In nika form. Thats why he recognized luffy's nika form immediately.
@@molokothabo2877 okay I see what you’re saying. Really thing just points to me how strange the paneling contexts can get in a manga like One Piece because while admit you’re right in the sense that the most consistent and direct answer is that this is Vegapunk imaging while he’s he’s recording which would entail the contradiction you’re pointing to about him not having seen Luffy yet at the time of the recording, it just never occurred to me because it’s not entirely intuitive to me to think of these panels as hypothetical integral thought or imagination flashbacks (or even literal flashback just obscured) WITHIN a recoded video (that can also be seen as a flashback of its own)
This chapter has made me even more curious on how what happened in the void century shaped the deep sea currents. For awhile I've thought one of the biggest mysteries that no one talks about is how the One Piece world is even aware how long it takes for something that is caught in the deep sea currents to wash up again. Someone at some point after the One Piece world flooded had to measure this somehow, it's even more weird when you notice for them to understand how long it takes for something to wash up after being caught in the deep sea currents that they must of existed pre-void century. Also if you think about it a world tour with the Noah to save humanity could be possible using the deep sea currents as a faster means of transportation. This also raises the question if maybe the deep sea currents were created in the ancient times to allow for faster transportation for the Noah or something else.
Wow everything makes sense now. What if the previous joyboy was a giant? Instead of stretching and blowing up to become bigger. The first joyboy used compression to shrink to make his muscles and bones denser instead. Luffy did shrink in the series in impel downs.
And so far, the idea of a 'giant who shrinks' has been used twice in One Piece but *neither time* was canon - one was a video game, the other was an anime-only movie tie-in arc. It feels like surely Oda would have used this idea by now for himself on some minor character if he didn't have a plan for it.
ohhhh that's a clever way to think about it- which also totally makes sense from the "goofy" standpoint of gear 5. Luffy - a normal human - wonders how it would feel like to be a giant and becomes one. Joyboy - a giant - wonders how it would feel like to be a normal human and becomes one.
@@klettari Also, I believe the Ancient "Weapon" that Imu controls to be the equivalient of a "Knock Down Stream," with the likely counter terraforming tool to be capable of creating Knock Up Streams, and beneath Wano.
@@mobyhuge Not a plot hole, you just don't have imagination. The way the knock up stream works is only a speculation. It could have been a contraption by the ancient kingdom to put landmass on sky islands. Besides, below landmass is just solid earth until the magma. Lifting up from the bottom most is what doesn't make sense.
@@Kekejackel I'm just telling things how it is. Some people don't use their imagination when they can and assume things can't happen because they can't think (or rather don't bother to think) how it could happen. Sounds similar to the above comment? And why am I phrasing it this way? Because it's the exact same scenario with a bunch of people call things in One Piece retcon when they are not, simply because they can't imagine Oda planning major twists from that long ago despite One Piece being a mystery series. That's damn rude to the creator.
The last part about Rodger leaving the one piece underwater would make sense as to why rodgers treasure in One Piece Stampede was underwater at the beginning. Oda leaving a sneaky hint.
I don’t know about you guys but I think the void century never happened. It’s happening right now. The current story of One Piece is the Void Century. Luffy is not Joyboy but instead Joyboy is Luffy. Some with call him Joyboy in place like Wano, others will call him Nika the sun god in Elbaf. Joyboy who sent a letter to the Mermaid princess that he couldn’t accomplish his promise is literally the promise Luffy made to Shirahoshi. The evil King who was torturing the small people from Dressrosa and enslaved them was Simply Doflamingo. When Roger laughed when he discovered the One Piece who else makes us laugh as much that clown Luffy? Remember Roget said he wish he was born in the same era. We don’t know if he meant the past or the future. Also Shanks, Crocus and Rayleigh also said Luffy was the One they were wait for, that the hat fit him so well. It’s quite simple that hat has always been Luffy’s. Momonosuke will learn to write the poneglyhs from his grandfather, Robin will help him and also create the Ohara kingdom, I think I will be Vivi who might acquire the devil fruit power to send the poneglyphs in the past. They sent them 900 years earlier to prepare for that we are living right now. In a funny way, Veganpunk could actually be the one who originally created the devil fruits or mother flames. He is simply not aware of it. I also think the reason there was no king on the throne of Marijoie is because the 20 Kings were aware of this and decided to avoid this war by swearing that no one should be on that throne but Imu managed to get a throne and tried to shape the future. Oda is simply telling the story comparable to the contemporary story of the world. Slavery was never abolished. Africans simply still live under neocolonial control, while the rest of the world literally lives off the resources and suffering. Marijoie is the current Israel where those celestial dragons or the “J people” of our world who consider pretty much themselves as gods have murdered and displaced millions of Palestinians and taken their land. Also the last war seem to be comparable to the American civil war to liberate slaves. There is a reason in the last government reverie the man who was hosting resembled Abraham Lincoln. Mother flame is probably the nuclear energy. Albert Einstein helped create nuclear power thinking it would end wars around the world since the main cause of them is always energy but instead the United States decided to create the nuclear bomb with it. Pretty much like like Imu using the mother flame to destroy entire islands, same way the US destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki simply to send a message to the rest of the world that they will destroy anyone who doesn’t yield. Same could also explain how the US has some weird loyalty for Israel (the celestial dragons) who seem to be out of touch and completely lunatic and delusion but some of those celestial dragons like the Shanks family are extremely powerful. Same way your have very powerful Js people in the US government, especially the Blackrock company, Rockefeller, Rothschild, Nulands, etc
@@EA-dweller Interesting theory but you went off the rails with your parallels to the world. There's also the question of why Zunesha wandering the planet if JoyBoy wasn't the one who sent him off.

Archimedes's priciple. The Red Line came crashing down from space (maybe with awakened Fujitora's fruit?) and it raised the sea level by such a big amount.
This Story is incredible, now the existance of SKY Islands gains huge meaning. Also if Gorosei are this much more powerful then Strawhats, how strong is Imu itself? Also also what part of this history did Xebec playd, and i cannot wait for Blackbeard reaction to Vegapunk message. This is CRAZY!

But remember that he also said to Rayleigh "Do you want to flip the world upside down with me?" You know where this is going. By Odens flashback Laugh Tale is definetely NOT under the water. And wven as crazy as "New World" is, there are still ZERO Sky Island at all. What? Weatheria? Ballon Terminal? Punk Records? Clearly man-made. I think Laugh Tale is the very first Sky Island created, and both One Piece and Kingdom of Joy Boy are exactly there. P.S. Also i think what the end of Roger/Luffy misterious Quote is metaphore of "After i became Pirate King ill FLIP THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN"
I think following basic logic it's safe to say while Joyboy had Nikas fruit, that does not equal a guarantee of being the first user. There's literally zero proof of that.
Everyone knows the Genesis flood story but there might be some inspiration for OP from the Book of Enoch. Its an unofficial Bible story derived from the Ethiopian version bible that goes more in depth on Noah's great-grandfather, Enoch. Very interesting and I see some similarities here. Tldr it basically tells the story of fallen angels who created the Nephilim (giants) and taught advanced technology to mankind which ultimately leads to the great flood. It connects almost directly to the Ancient Sumerian texts.
@@sengoku_fin From the way I understand it, it was less the technology specifically that caused the flood but it was how mankind used it that caused "the angels" to intervene.
In the Spanish translation Roger says "Mi tesoro....Lo dejé todo allí, buscadlo si queréis. Ojalá se le ATRAGANTE al rufián que lo encuentre", that translates into "My treasure ....I left it all there, look for it if you want. @Dionysos_____Alters the world is probably hollow and the ancient weapon is shooting air into the center, or a deeper layer, that is filled with water. As this area fills with air, water is forced up and floods the surface. Like pushing a balloon of air into a bin of water. Remove this air pocket and water levels drop.

The fact that there is emphasis on the fact that its unknown to vegapaunk what started this conflict makes me think that either joyboy wasnt entirelly good or a hero as many have implied or neither joyboy or the world government are evil and they are equally justified in their actions. Remember, at the end of the day the story revolves around pirates and we know that in reality pirates were never good. I personally think that oda is gonna surprise us with a massive plot twist.
Here's a curveball: Could Uranus' shots have pushed the landmasses of entire continents towards each other, causing Red Line to rise and widen on a global scale? Consider Uranus' cannon. The power of this sea-splitting explosion cannot just enter the sea and "evaporate" in the bottom. It's been proven that the shot evaporates rock, so it definitely goes through the entire lithosphere all the way to the center of the planet, or at least to the astenosphere (the magma before the core). But such force does not just go away, it must traverse and equalize in some way. The tremors of the attack to Lulusia were felt globally, even atop the Red Line. Considering its shape, coincidentally Red Line happens to wrap the world much like rings of Saturn, just not gas but actual rock. Consider now how the Himalaya mountains were born - a massive collision between two continents, that flew on the magma currents of the astenosphere on a crash course. So: could Uranus' cannon disturb the magma flows of the astenosphere, or in some other way shift landmasses away from the striking point in a way that would push Red Line to grow? If we consider its thickness, even a small increase to it would easily increase the sea level by a meter's worth. That is not much distance on the scale of the whole world. Even an increase of millimeter or two could make this kind of shift happen. Could the shot of a "Mother Flame round" do this? Could the "flame" that was used in ancient times be so powerful that it'd instantly give rise to the massive Red Line mountain, violently pushing islands unto themselves, away from the epicentrum where Uranus would fire? The other option is that Uranus was as powerful in the olden days as it is now, and was just fired enough times to achieve the same result.
joyboy may not be the first user of the hito hito no mi as the buccaneers, giants and skypians talk about the ancient warrior called sun god nika with similar powers.
Sun God Nika was the IDEA/WISH from where the fruit originated. At some point in Ancient Kingdom's time, a technology was created which was able to conjure the wishes of people into fruits. At the start of the arc, Vegapunk hinted that "devil fruits incarnate people's wishes". Someone wished to be fire, someone wished to be darkness, someone wished to be the hero from his favourite comic book: the Sun God Nika.
Remember that shot in the first opening with the ships sailing in search for the one piece? Well, that was foreshadowing for everyone searching for even the tiniest single piece of land they could find

I think that the gorosei powers and them not being labeled "devil fruits" would make sense if this "devil" of the fruits would be joyboy or someone on his side. Since the celestial dragons are "gods", makes sense to "devil" be the one who opose them, and then the gorosei may just have "fruits" (or even god fruits), not "devil fruits", maybe back them this kind of power was common
This chapter has convinced me that Imu must have used the personality switching surgery to change with whoever the Uranus of 800 years ago was. We now can say with 100% certainty that Imu has Uranus, meaning that we now need to rethink a long standing theory, that theory being that the power of the ancient weapons is locked to one person. Shirahoshi is the only Posideon, and it seems Momonoske is the only person who could command Zuneisha to release Pluton. Now we know that the Ryugu and Kozuki families were allied with Joyboy, so it would make sense that whoever Uranus was would be allied with Joyboy as well. My pick is Nefeltari D. Lily, she was allied with Joyboy as she was responsible for the poneglyphs, and we know that she had something to do with the immense kingdom because the Elders refer to this kingdom as "The Kingdom of D." This explains a lot of things, why Crocodile and Robin believed that there was an ancient weapon in Alabasta, why Imu looks so similar to Lily, and why Imu wants to get a hold of Vivi. Imu would be scared that Vivi is the rebirth of this ancient power. Doflamingo had this very plan, he needed Law's fruit for both the perenial youth and the personality switching. He said these would help him get control of the secret treasure of Marijoa, it seems that Doflamingo told us this exact theory.
Maybe this could explain the weird weather on the Grandline. Winter islands could be islands the mostly sunk except for the peaks of their landmass while Summer islands could have not gotten the worst of it. Just a theory I thought of listening to this video
Oda hinted at real-world supercontinents with his names of other one piece places. Lulusia Kingdom can be read as the supercontinent Laurussia (like how Raftel is actually Laugh tale). It's funny that Laurussia was also known as the "Old Red Continent" - sounds like the Red Line to me!
Joyboy's Silloete looked like Charlotte Oven, Luffy has paramecia like and zoan like awakening already and his last will have him take on a Logia type form and abilities by having him turn into a literal flame man with abilities of all devil fruit classes while Blackbeard needs 3 devil fruits to do what the Hito Hito no mi model Sungod can do alone
We saw Roger and crew at Laugh Tale, they weren't wearing bubbles, just standing around laughing. And they seemed to be able to see so there was light. Fishman Island is a special circumstance with the light from the tree and the bubbles and all that stuff which is the only idea I could have and it only works there.
I think Joyboy's pose implies that he's a giant, or at least using his power's to gigantify himself like Luffy did, since his silhouette is in the same pose as Luffy's when he grabbed the lightning v Kaido.
A while ago I saw a guy on reddit with a theory on the 4 road poneglyphs that leads to laugh tale, because only 3 directions would be enough to triangulate its location and get there, but what if there was another dimension, the depth, then a fourth one would be needed, it would make a lot of sense for that and even though this made sense to me at the time, right now I'm convinced that this is the case
You could be on to something. Then again, it takes three to mark a point in three dimensions: two to triangulate (bearings from two different points to mark an "X") and a third to point out the elevation. Based on Roger's logic of arriving there too early, the fourth Road Poneglyph could state the correct time window to make full use of the One Piece.
I dont see how using the ancient weapon as is to make the sea level go down is logical as much as using an "undo button". Since the use of it seems to raise the sea level. I see it working like more of a pushing the land mass down and it being moved to push up from the bottom of the red line to widening it at the bottom. This would explain the displacement of water. Making it where that section of land mass/"island" was is now pushed to make the red line bigger, and the never filling hole is also displacing water. The water flowing into the holes made by the weapon could be coming out of the top of reverse mountain or around it which would explain the weird water flows. Reversing this would lower the red line, replace the missing mass/islands, and half the water displacement. This could result in the restoration of the world, but also the destruction of fisherman island in the form the tree might collapse on top of it without a proper land mass to hold it in place/the reverting process having an effect on the island. I wouldn't be surprised if laugh tale is under reverse mountain with the X marks the spot theory.
The biggest evidence of Laughtale being underwater is that both Buggy and Toki, the only two devil fruit users on roger's ship, have had a sudden illness that prevented them from continuing the journey to Laughtale.
It keeps making more and more sense why the panel where Roger and his crew laughed was just white and no details. Oda can't show that they were under water that would have given us too much of a hint but I can see laugh tale being anywhere I stopped guessing and am just waiting for oda to break my mind like this last chapter and the fact the Roger proper line is "I left everything down there" FREAKING GODA!!!!
17:00 It is possible that the Redline was only partially created during the Void Century, meaning the Lunarians were living on top of a smaller continent before the Redline was created by raising the ocean floor around it until it split the world in two.
The abnormal magnetism of the Grandline islands maybe the works of a past user of Kid's Jiki Jiki no mi abilities during the creation of the Grandline.
Hey this isn’t anyway taking away from what you said about the Spanish translation but it would more closely translate to “of evil” “De” is from and as you stated “Malo” is evil, so together “from evil” or “of evil”. Love your videos. I watch everyone
what if one piece has been a dystopic future of our world all along? Of course with new concepts such as the people from the moon and the fantasy around the devil fruits, but only focusing on the earth? I think that could be an interesting thing
So fascinating that Oda crack the world secrets it ties to our world today. 12,000 years ago the time of the younger dryas where ice age is at peak it used to have so much land most of the continents are joined together through land and ice. As a believer of Ancient Civilization and Atlantis it's so fascinating that Oda applies this theory in One Piece. The Noah's Flood and recent meteor impact 12,000 years ago ties to our recent deluge happens in younger dryas where mass extinction occurs and so on. Watch Graham Hancock in his Ancient Civilization.
Just from the thumbnail i got a crazy theory (haven't watched yet) What if the reason Roger was early was because the water level was still too low and it needed to be raised a few more meters to access the One Piece properly, whatever it is. Laugh Tale is still above water partially, but part of it needs to be underwater to progress farther
i cant believe we are getting this sort of lore drop out of oda, this story just keeps getting deeper after starting out as a lighthearted adventure show.
Wow everything makes sense now. Just in case, Maybe IMU is not the original user but the impostor that could take control over the the sky's ancient weapon (one person able to take control over a Masive destruction weapon and a mythical creature that borns only once in the same century)... Like... If someone could discover who was the user of the weapon, make a *switch with Imu (the ope ope no mi... who knows, I mean, not imu being the user) and took control over the user, including the the mythical creature and ship to destroy the world at that moment? If that was the case, then Imu could have just ended up shortening the life spam of the criature and killing it before achieving his/her goal... and at that moment, it would have been too late to even find out the real sourse of power to bring caos to the world once again... It would be like in the end, Imu got backfired by the desicion of killing millions and the precious knowledge they protected with their lives. ... This is far from being the truth :'3 at least I tried.
Perhaps Gol D Roger has sunk the Oro Jackson with all of his wealth on it at Laugh Tale, meaning his treasure can only be obtained by someone who drains the oceans?
Kinda make sense that raftel is under the sea since no devil fruit user in gol d. Roger crew except buggy and also on shanks crew cause they cant enter it.😮
Based on your wording “the sea rose 200 meters just in the void century” implies it could have rose a lot more in the 800 years that follows. If I remember correctly it took 1 week in world to see the effects of the attack on luluisa and have a 1 meter increase. Doing some napkin maths it would take 26 years of continuous attacks every week to have a 200 meter increase. It is feasible to have much larger increases in the sea level over the 800 years after the void century. Even if it’s 200 meters every 100 years that that’s still potentially an additional 1600 meters increase if not more.
I should have waited a little longer. But I think my assumption is probably not wrong, maybe the number is way to large but an island here or there over time especially 800 years no one would notice additional increases if it happened every couple of years. People may assume it is a natural phenomenon as the world became more isolated.

And like you said, there's the islands and magnetic fields problem, grand line problem, calm belt... Oda might be messing up. Because if you go this deep in a mystery, you are bound to make mistakes. We can't even explain some things in our universe and theories become wrong when new discoveries are made.
Joyboy lost in the First Davey Back fight and was turned into a Giant Robot by the Hobby Hobby no mi which caused the Void Century since everyone who KNOWS you will forget you. But if no one has ever met you, like Kyros in Dressrosa, then the only thing to remind people of you is a Statue, like Kyros in Dressrosa.
I figure that Laugh Tale's location has a time/event component to it, and it will only be during Aqua Laguna that it is accessible.
that's a good point!
or like a knock-up stream (also needing specific time and place, not upwards direction)... knock-down stream lol?
@@klettari That, and there is that low orbiting moon.
@@klettari Also, I believe the Ancient "Weapon" that Imu controls to be the equivalient of a "Knock Down Stream," with the likely counter terraforming tool to be capable of creating Knock Up Streams, and beneath Wano.
I wonder what's sunk in the calm belt, because no one has been able to really explore the sea there right?
Right and why are the seakings hanging out there/gaurding it
So, Jaya used to be a skull shaped plateau instead of a skull shaped island.
Lmao that might be a plot hole since it was shot up by upstream and it didn't seem even close to 200 meters high
I do agree with you it absolutely could be that but going off the information we do have without speculation. It is just some weather phenomenon
@@niello5944 "you just don't have an imagination"- you're rude

Gol D Roger Said literally: " I've left everything down there" Which most people consider under the water now.
1:47 G-8 filler arc was the best in One Piece anime.
Change my mind.
you can have your own opinion. if you are not sure about it, so be it
Correct! G-8 was the best filler. It has no noncanon devil fruits, it doesn't disrupt the timeline of the story and the characters are fantastic!
yessssssssssssss
Everyone knows the Genesis flood story but there might be some inspiration for OP from the Book of Enoch. Its an unofficial Bible story derived from the Ethiopian version bible that goes more in depth on Noah's great-grandfather, Enoch. Very interesting and I see some similarities here. Tldr it basically tells the story of fallen angels who created the Nephilim (giants) and taught advanced technology to mankind which ultimately leads to the great flood. It connects almost directly to the Ancient Sumerian texts.
How did the technology create the great flood?
@@sengoku_fin From the way I understand it, it was less the technology specifically that caused the flood but it was how mankind used it that caused "the angels" to intervene.

The one piece is the one continent that the world used to be and laugh tail island is the key to reversing the flood. Mark my words.
How is this possible? How can one reverse this?
@Dionysos_____Alters the world is probably hollow and the ancient weapon is shooting air into the center, or a deeper layer, that is filled with water. As this area fills with air, water is forced up and floods the surface. Like pushing a balloon of air into a bin of water. Remove this air pocket and water levels drop.

9:47 thanks for mentioning TLoZ:TWW. That's the first thing i thought about when reading chp 1115.

Lily, she was allied with Joyboy as she was responsible for the poneglyphs, and we know that she had something to do with the immense kingdom because the Elders refer to this kingdom as "The Kingdom of D."
This explains a lot of things, why Crocodile and Robin believed that there was an ancient weapon in Alabasta, why Imu looks so similar to Lily, and why Imu wants to get a hold of Vivi.
I also noticed Roshio in that panel of Mock Town because he sticks out from everyone one else who is laughing hysterically
Bro literally said everything we were thinking in one video Beautiful Review! even got the Zoro Thought Correct
(bonus comment)
You know what else rhymes should have sinking world
dying world (Cobra)
If you zoom in on the panel of joyboy it looks like he may have a tail.
the ancient kingdom is going to be named Atlantis I'm calling it now
Would be so fitting for the ultimate treasure to be under water, a relic from past now submerged!
Now this makes me think Celestial Dragons are wearing scuba suits not space suits
Just from the thumbnail i got a crazy theory (haven't watched yet)
What if the reason Roger was early was because the water level was still too low and it needed to be raised a few more meters to access the One Piece properly, whatever it is.
Laugh Tale is still above water partially, but part of it needs to be underwater to progress farther

This is far from being the truth :'3 at least I tried.
Perhaps Gol D Roger has sunk the Oro Jackson with all of his wealth on it at Laugh Tale, meaning his treasure can only be obtained by someone who drains the oceans?

Great choice for the music of DK Country !
The grand line is known as the "Pirate's Graveyard" this could literally be a clue that we were looking for Joyboy's grave all along
Something I'm curious about is to what degree Imu and company's objectives are complete, and what's left?
Imu might have pluton and not Uranus. There were blueprints for it so there can be more than 1.
