Hi🙋♀️ My goodness...you are a lovely inspiration. So personable and authentic 💖 Thank you for the highlights into your growth and journey. Slow and steady has brought you wonderful outcomes. At age 60, I acted on a spark that I felt when I was 4 years old seeing the rain on the sidewalk chalk art in the original release of "Mary Poppins". With no practice or skills training, I knew I wanted to watercolor and suspected I could🎊 I've just celebrated my 1st year of creating...watercolor, acrylics and my new passion of gel printing...my niche of abstract is influenced by the later works of Kandinsky and Mondrian. My vision is to create a small stable of prints and products that bring as much joy to others as they do to me 🤗. I recently placed in my first small, humble art show...a big step🎉 By my next milestone anniversary I have a vision for participating with a small booth at a market event. In the end, if all I do is find joy in thr process...then it will be a delight. Not sure if this is of interest...but your sweet nature inspired me to share💖

Annie , You have reinspired me again. Before 2020 I was in several boutiques. I lost my momentum when the world was shut down instead, of pushing forward selling on line. Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey!!
Your work is stunning and I'm so inspired by your story! I just started painting a year ago (at 45!) and am thinking about how my art can provide extra income.
YAAY!! I am so happy you are here and I hope you find so much inspiration as you venture into making an income off of your art. It’s such a cool time to be an artist because the opportunities are everywhere. I am excited to share more about the business side of growing an art career so stay tuned!❤️
Hey Annie! So glad the RUclips algorithm showed me your video!! I loved hearing about your journey. I’m in the early stages of my own, and I’m also trying to do the whole hand painted artwork and surface pattern design thing! Your florals are SO gorgeous. I can’t wait to keep following along and to continue learning from you!
I love hearing when a young woman finds success in doing what they love! Well done. And being at the point where you are focusing on balance is so lovely. Balance always comes and goes, (even balance is a "balancing act" LOL), but when it is what you are focused on you can create a life that feels fulfilling on all levels! Wishing you everything good.
Thank you so much for sharing this - I am just getting back into painting and art after 5 years. I am also painting my way out of sadness for sure. It helps my anxiety in a big way!
I’m so happy you are here. Been filling up on Instagram for awhile now and I am obsessed with your work. My daughter’s name is Annie, so I feel like that’s what brought me to you lol. I’m so excited to learn more from you.
What a wonderful journey. SO inspiring, and I can't wait for my time to come to get back into art! I've been a SAHM for nearly 12 years, and painting has been on a painful back burner during that time. It makes such a huge difference when your children are great nappers. I was fortunate to be able to continue painting when our first bubba was born, since he was a fantastic napper. Sadly, all our children since have been unsettled non-nappers, including our current 3-month-old cutie pie - number six. Every drawing and painting I have started in a decade has been destroyed by my kids, but I've realised that destroyed artwork is better than no artwork, since it is the process of creating that is essential to my being. I crave the opportunity to develop as an artist, and to share and sell my art, but this is not my season - that will come. I tried setting the art aside completely to 'wait for the right time' to create again....and it nearly destroyed me. Scribbles, sketches, and two-minute paintings are infinitely better than letting years go by without creating anything!
An easy subscribe! Thanks for sharing your heart and your story. As a mom of two, wife, artist and small business owner I can totally relate to you. I've been doing my art business full time for 6 years and have fluctated in feeling like this is the year, this is the season where it'll take off and I don't know if I'm crazy to keep going and everyone else rooting me on is just being sweet 😅 Oh the rollercoaster. But watching this video has felt like a wink from God to not give up and keep pressing forward. Blessings to you, your family and business! ❤❤

I’m so excited that you started a channel! I love your are style and now hearing your story I’m truly inspired. I’m 33 and I’ve let so many things get in the way of pursuing my art, I think all of that really boils down to fear… how did you push through your fear in the beginning? If you had that experience ❤
I am so glad you are here! This is such a good question and I think it is one I will dive into deeper in a future video. In the beginning I think it was a lot of naivety, but also I grew with my mom telling me to just go after it lol. Those two things are a good recipe for getting started. This RUclips journey is probably the most fearful I have been in regards to trying something new. It’s been on my heart for YEARS, but kept putting it off for so long because it is so wildly out of my comfort zone until I finally had to sit my butt down and just make a plan and do the plan….and here we are! Starting truly is the hardest part and the best way to get over that fear is to start with small, simple, achievable goals 🥰 I hope that helps!

The time is now! Thank you for helping me feel capable and excited to take my 2 year old daughter along with me on this journey. I look forward to seeing your videos regularly as I follow in your footsteps. Such an inspiring video. Thank you!! ❤
This is very inspiring thank you! It’s tough juggling motherhood alongside professional goals in life but you’ve proved it can be done with hard work and determination 💪🏼
Thank you Annie for sharing your journey. I have been painting for years - florals are my passion - and my artwork is piling up. I would love to hear about your start on Instagram and Etsy and hopefully I can follow in your footsteps. I love your work ❤
I think I stumbled across your video at the moment I most needed it. Your art is beautiful! As someone who's interested in floristry and has been drawing as long as she can remember, your paintings are such a joy. It gives me hope that I can one day share the beauty of nature and art if I believe in myself. Thank you so much for this. Also, your voice is so soothing to listen to - I instantly subbed :)

Absolutely happy for you and this resonated with me SO MUCH. I'm at that turning point and its scary. I was laid off in December of 2022 and was dealing with an uncertain cancer diagnosis. I picked up my first paint brush in 2023 and fell in LOVE. Now I either find a 9-5 I don't love or do what I love and take that risk. But we can't live off of one income so it feels like a selfish gamble to take the risk and pursue my art.
Oh my goodness!! I am so sorry to hear everything you have gone through and are going through ❤️ I know the gamble that comes with pursuing a creative career. There are pros and cons to both a 9-5 and the pursuit of a creative career. I hope you feel encouraged here and find the best option for you! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions at all!
Hello Annie, I just found your channel and found your wonderful art journey! I am a much older Mom of my kids . I would like to know if you could share a bit about how did you begin your online business, if it’s ok , please. I love your story so much! You are a very special young woman! Thank you so much❤️❤️ I would love to go a little deeper into how I began selling my work online. I could do a whole video on that but when I first started out I was on Etsy and began with very small collections on a very consistent schedule and that went a long way with building a customer base 🥰
Thank you!! It was all organic :) I tried paid advertising for a short period years ago. I had some success but it required a lot of time hired help so I never really went any deeper into paid advertising.

I am so happy that you are feeling inspired to keep going!! The pursuit of a creative career is definitely a unique journey. Sometimes all it takes is one piece of artwork to change the trajectory of your career ❤️
Hi Annie! I’ve been following you on IG for a few years, so it’s really nice to “meet you” and hear your story. You did a great job with the video 👍🏻. As a fellow self taught artist I look forward to painting along with you!
Hi Annie! I’ve just found your channel and IG and am so inspired by your story. My situation is very different but still your journey resonates with me so much. I am 61 currently working a full time job and caring for an aging parent. I wasn’t creative in my younger years but after losing my mom in 2020 I delved deep into creative outlets as a means to ease the grief. I’ve found painting to be a peaceful and joyful outlet. I’ve been painting for about a year and want so much to make art my full time career. It’s scary, especially at my age but I’m trying hard not to let fear stand in my way. I really wanted to reach out and thank you for sharing your journey. There’s so much I don’t know and so much to learn. I will continue following to absorb all I can. I do have one specific question now. How do you scan your large paintings to make prints. My scanner is not fancy and a bit antiquated. So I’d love to know what scanner you use and what program you use if you have to scan multiple angles of your paintings. So sorry for being so wordy!! Many thanks again!! BTW my daughter’s name is Annie! Beautiful name!!💖
I think what you are doing is amazing and I loved reading a little bit about your journey ❤️ I know that starting can bring a lot of fear but just keeping taking baby steps and moving forward! @@AnnieQuigleyArt 💖thank you so very much Annie! You know I saw your scanning RUclips over the weekend. Very briefly took a look as I was watching grandchildren while my daughter Annie was giving birth to my 6th grandchild. So needless to say, quite a busy few days. I will definitely watch your scanning video soon. I know it will be full of valuable information. Many thanks again for being so generous with such helpful information. 💖
Thank you so much for sharing your artwork, I have admired your style for a while and I'm so glad you are showing your process in these videos! Would you be able to share more about how you licensed your own art in future videos?
I’m so glad you are enjoying these videos! The topic of Licensing is so frequently requested that I am going to do a series diving deep into the topic that will be coming out in the next couple of months so stay tuned!❤️
Hi just subcribed to your channel , such an amazing journey can I congratulate you 🎉🎉🎉🎉 . There is one question that is always in my mind how do we as artists find our own style ? . I have been painting for a few years self taught I experiment with different mediums etc etc I never stick to one . I have sold a few pieces of art and greetings cards in local shops but I do not feel that I have found myself , maybe I watch too many artists on -line all saying different things . Could you advise me please . Looking forward to watching your tutorials and thank you
Fab video hun that is my next step is getting licensing..would you be interested in doing a video just on how to go through that whole process. Any advice??
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I have videos planned around licensing that will be coming out in the coming months. That is one of the most frequently requested topics I get so I definitely want to dive in deeper for all who are curious!
When your girls were little did they get into your paints? I have two littles and a baby and wonder how to paint with everyone around. I haven’t had much success drawing without someone coming to climb on me or grab art supplies.
When they were little I worked in the corner of my kitchen and always had my work out of reach on a higher table in the corner. They grew up watching me paint and I think because of that it was kind of just known that they weren’t allowed to touch lol. My supplies and setup were VERY simple in those days too so that it was conducive to the fact that I had little babies running around my workspace lol.
@@AnnieQuigleyArtI don’t paint acrylics but watercolors. I was never into art before in my younger years but then at 48 1/2 I started to teach myself watercolors which I love so much. I want to start learning eventually maybe acrylics God willing so I appreciate your channel. Your painting of flowers are so colorful and beautiful! Keep up the good work
It’s hard to get into a new medium especially because watercolor has a mind of its own! Lol. I’m here if you ever want to dive into the word of acrylics 🥰
This is so neat I follow you on IG 💕 I’d love to know more about licensing deals. Does it just depend on if they want a one off piece or are you in contract to create collections for them?
I’m so glad you found me here on YT 🥰 To answer your question, every licensing contract is different. Sometimes it is a one off piece and sometimes it is an entire collection. It entirely depends on the need of the company :)
@@AnnieQuigleyArt thank you!! This is so inspiring! I’d love to know more about this cause now it leads me to other questions like are you pitching yourself on a consistent basis?! 💕
My head is spinning with ideas for future videos😅 to answer your question, at this point I am not pitching myself very often right now because I have a good amount inquiries coming in and a good amount of repeat clients 🥰 That could definitely change though!
@@AnnieQuigleyArt So true, I don't have anyone in my immediate environment who is interested in art, I met all my artistic friends through the Internet.

Love your videos. Could you please do one on how art licensing works?
I will definitely be doing videos on the topic! They will be coming this summer.

Absolutely!! Painting tutorials coming soon!
Your journey is so inspiring, Annie! Thank you for sharing!!
That makes me so happy to hear. I’m honored to share! Thank you for being here 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing your artwork, I have admired your style for a while and I'm so glad you are showing your process in these videos! Would you be able to share more about how you licensed your own art in future videos?
I’m so glad you are enjoying these videos! The topic of Licensing is so frequently requested that I am going to do a series diving deep into the topic that will be coming out in the next couple of months so stay tuned!❤️
Love your new channel! So excited to follow along!
THANK YOU!!❤️❤️
Hi just subcribed to your channel , such an amazing journey can I congratulate you 🎉🎉🎉🎉 . Looking forward to watching your tutorials and thank you
Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing 🙂
🥰🥰
Fab video hun that is my next step is getting licensing..would you be interested in doing a video just on how to go through that whole process. Any advice??
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I have videos planned around licensing that will be coming out in the coming months. That is one of the most frequently requested topics I get so I definitely want to dive in deeper for all who are curious!
😭😭🥰🥰 thank you for sharing your story
I’m so glad you enjoyed listening to my story!! It’s so special to me and love sharing it 😭❤️
When your girls were little did they get into your paints? I have two littles and a baby and wonder how to paint with everyone around. I haven’t had much success drawing without someone coming to climb on me or grab art supplies.
When they were little I worked in the corner of my kitchen and always had my work out of reach on a higher table in the corner. They grew up watching me paint and I think because of that it was kind of just known that they weren’t allowed to touch lol. My supplies and setup were VERY simple in those days too so that it was conducive to the fact that I had little babies running around my workspace lol.
Thats the best thing I ever heard beautiful ♥♥♥
😭❤️❤️❤️
Incredible ❤
so excited for you!!
Thank you so much for being here and for the encouragement!!❤️
Do you paint with acrylics? Or is that oil? also, could you please do videos of tutorials. Your paintings are beautiful!
I use acrylics 😊 I hope to put out lots of painting tutorials on this channel and am so excited!
❤
Thank you!! The power of consistency I looove it 🥹
😄❤️
🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Do you make your own frames?
I purchase all of my floater frames for canvases from www.canvasplace.com :)

Please to meet you my artist friend, I can identify with so much from your story except parents, my parents never supported me in my art journey . 🤍🤍
That can be so tough :,( Finding that community in fellow artists can be so life changing and give you that support you need ❤️

So true, I don't have anyone in my immediate environment who is interested in art, I met all my artistic friends through the Internet.
I met most of my artist friends online too! Lol
