I'm actually a walnut piloting a flesh mecha. I loved DEEMO and loved Mili's songs but never realized that a lot of DEEMO songs were Mili.

“Bento Box Bivouac”(お弁当箱野宿)ってタイトルから、キャンプ風の明るい曲調を想像して動画を開いたらめっちゃしっとりしたメロディで驚いた。
でも、歌を 2:00 ここまで聴いて全部腑に落ちて鳥肌が立った。
切ない曲調で『弁当に使う塩は目から零れ落ちる』とか『まだ私の部屋に他人が入る余地はない』とか言われたら歌ってる女の子に何が起こったのか否が応でも理解させられるよね…
どのように解釈したのか聞きたいです！
まだ自分では納得のいく解釈ができていないので…

前作の「たんぽぽ少女、たんぽぽ少年(カップルではなく兄妹(姉弟)と考えるといいかも)」と合わせると、「戦争が終わってのんきに野宿に出かけられるようになったけど、戦地に出向いた彼はもう二度と帰ってこない」とも読み取れそうだし。

I love the fact that the part "the salt, salt" seemed to refer to the salt in the bento box but the next line brings me to tears with " from my eyes, they dropped"

Personally I find this song has an inherent sentiment that is akin to mourning a loved one long gone.
Not the sporadic rush of emotions felt during the weeks thereafter the passing but rather one that occurs when visiting a grave or recollecting their visage several years after the fact.
Also, the way the violin only plays during the vocal sections gives the piano a lot of breathing room to do its own thing; which I found to be quite pleasant.
I'm really fond of this piece, thanks Mili.

I think think the sieves in the song is more like those drain basket used to wash rice xD
Rice could be somehow dirty and covered with pesticide. Therefore, sometimes we will wash the rice and drain the water by sieves The way we use is similar with gold panning actually lol
One of my favourite artists, Cassie never disappoints me with her vocals
When she sounded almost out of tune when she sang "The salt, the salt from my eyes they dropped", I think she was actually trying to hold back her tears during this part.

I know that this is over-analyzing but I find this song more than about a simple dish. I feel like this is about a mother whose child she's taken care of all those years passed away and buried on the mountain tops. The child was her most favourite thing in the world, her escape from tiredness from work, her very own child.
I think I'm just sad right now sigh
i can understand that she is merely talking to the bento itself but when i heard 'fluffing them up into your box' all i thought about was a mother preparing her childs final resting place im deeply sorry
