Thank you for this video. I have also found it useful to warm the spray cans in warm water before shaking thoroughly.. and then shaking more. Also inverting the can and spraying a couple of seconds to clear the nozzle between coats. I also heat the part I’m painting slightly with a hair dryer.. I’m certainly no expert, but lots of patience is the most important. Some paints are certainly mush easier than others. It’s really much harder to get a good finish than it looks, I see some RUclips videos that make it look easy.. it’s not.
Definately all good points and I do these on my more high end builds... but this one I didn't take the time I should have... warming the parts before spraying where possible also helps, and also I need a tent to keep the dust off if possible... I have some proper restoration videos coming up so will be doing the more correct paint processes
Great job fun to watch! I realised as a kid doing graffiti with car paint that the nozzles get blocked unless you turn then upside down and blow them clear as someone else commented. 👍😁
I found, as a total newb, warming the cans in hot water first really helped with the spray pattern. For good can spray jobs Nats Knackers yard has some great tips
Yes this is totally true, I used a heat gun off camera to warm the cans but should have done it for longer. I've been known to put them in the oven on low heat before...
Hi, I am having trouble removing the screw on 13:48 and the one above it. They were really tight on mine and I've already ruined the one on top. May I ask how did you get it out and was it also really tight on yours? And what tool did you use (size of screw head for both)
These screws are always tough, best is a very big old school flat head screwdriver. helps to tap screwdriver into the bolt with hammer a little. if you can’t undo it then take off just the coloured panel like i did and leave black part in place. worst case scenario you can cut modify or replace the metal bar it’s attached to
@@shadyjosh5oh man I missed your response haha, thank you so much. Just got back to work on the CB, since I am replacing the fairing with a spare part I've decided to just rip it off with force. Luckily didn't break anything on the black fairing
We all started somewhere but that paint job was just wow 😮
How do you actually take the front fairings off or can you show how to take all the fairings off please
