Sounds quite pleasant with the mid switch engaged. Preferred it over the 320 by a lot (but I might be the only person on the planet that doesn’t love any of the EV mics for my own voice).
I'm with you. 320 sounded AWFUL
Personally think it sounded better than every mic you put it up against 🤷♂️. So much smoother than .....well...all of them
The sm58 holds up well in most comparisons.

This is a stupid thing to say, but I really like the Q9X when it was compared to the Elgato and the EV mics. It sounded so bad that it made me laugh.

When you and Dylan were discussing the pros and cons of Samson a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to ask if you guys were including Zoom and their cool products in that equation
Although I like less semblance on it, I would have to CV those the Shure SM58 over it both for value & overall quality comparison. W/ the midboost on, it's almost identical to its former mate. Thank you for reviewing.
The Q9X without the midboost on sounds like what Snazzy Labs thought the SM7b sounded like

My mic gets 27 dBSPL to the millioersted and that's the way I likes it!
I really don't like the q9u it's really muddy but I hope the q9x is better because I like the look of the q9x
I appreciate the review, Mr. Dark Corners Studio would you follow up with what you believe is a “better Microphone for the same or close cost ?” and put it up against this microphone, head to head, if I had a few RUclips dollars or had manufacturers sending me Free Stuff!
