After watching van life videos for the last 2 years. You are one of the few that hasn't quit on vanlife. It doesn't look like you plan to. I live near Niagara falls Canada and if you ever want to surf the great lakes or want some free kiteboarding lessons I'm willing to help you out.
You have a nice voice. The desk option I love, its better than that steering wheel option companies sell. So great that you like the option to drive people around, thats what I was thinking when I lived in my car.
Bro.. I seen ya in oregon or Wash, am sure. I Never forget an Element. I have done many of the same things, having never seen your channel, xcept u took it to another level with the fridge, solar panel, killer desk, shower/nozal, sink..... .. I had tupaware for brushing. Two red cardboard xmas displays,($0). As shelving and storage for Tupperware. A black metal and thick glass coffee table to raise that side [drivers] for storage. camp stove. Just a board on my lap for a desk in the back with my feet up!! A super thick curtain behind front seats with para cord. An attick with a spider web of bungy cords holding my 1/8" styrofoam with reinfoced black mat,, window coverings. And the front passenger floor board for the dirty laundry!!. Two NW Winters comfortably with a super duper sleepbag! Eh?
I'm your 100k subscriber!! I clicked the button and watched it tick over!!! Thank you for making these videos, they're a great source of info, and congrats on 100k!!
I could not imagine how you could possibly get more from that space ... personal fav... the desk setup.., very cool and looks super functional. Well done
Great video Nate. I like the locked off tripod shots for the tour rather than the typical handheld shaky cameras that you usually get with van tours. I just updated my element conversion too and put out a video for it. Take a look.
Nate great tour of your setup.. watching makes me miss my van stealthy. I still say smaller is better and is the way to go, but if i want Linda and Flash to go with me, Linda thinks we need that big ass 40' stealthy van...lol :) I loved my van!! Be safe. :)
Hey Nate what's up Man really love the updated conversion on the Element I do have to say we did it for over 20 years like you are doing it and I will say this I hope we can meet up one day I'm planning on leaving the Sticks and bricks Next fall for Good and living in a 5th wheel
You still manage to do a lot with little space! I may need to do that, but even a family van as I was thinking would not offer a ton of more room... maybe a little bit. It sure forces one to be creative! :)
Use Reflectix foil insulation, available Lowes/Home Depot, cut to shape of windows and no tape is necessary. The exterior needs some TLC, especially headlight covers (oxidized) and trim (needs protectant), maybe a coat of synthetic UV protectant "wax" to the exterior paint.
LOL the black plastic bin you bought from the store... More like the milk crate that you accidentally borrowed from behind a grocery store and cut the top off hahaha. I've done that numerous times accidentally.........runs
I really like your build I just bought a 2010 Honda element and I plan on living in it with my dog what would you recommend keeping it cool while I’m away ?
How about a seat cover for the drivers side seat? That rip is only gonna get worse. Still in New Orleans? The weather is decent and should be a great weekend. Stay safe.
Because you bed is also a bench maybe you could add some 2 point seatbelts to it to turn it into a seat and you can remove the front seat and add a composting toilet or something
Im about to convert my Honda passport. If the idea I have for the bed works I'll send you something on how I built it. It should be more convenient for the setup you have. I'll let you know if it works.
Hey Ed. Did your new bed idea work out. I’m trying to decide exactly how I want to build my bed. So I’d really like to see what you came up with. Hope you’ll respond with a few photos to rknmamma@gmail.com Thanks
Hey there, I'm in Orange County and thinking about living in my subaru outback for a year. One thing I'm concerned about is the summer heat. I'm worried about safety and sleeping with the windows down for ventilation. Your in the area--have you dealt with this? What are your thoughts?
Nate love your videos. I'm looking at getting an Element. My question is with all the weight of your gear and shelving unit, did you have to beef up your rear suspension. Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing your upcoming videos.
Awesome video! I’m currently in the process of getting a used car, after my previous car got totaled in an accident. I’m debating whether if I should get an element or something with a bigger engine. I know elements have a 4 cylinder engine, so my question is, how does it feel with all that extra weight? Does it struggle going uphill? Or trying to get up to speed? I would really appreciate it if you can let me what you think. Thank you!
Thanks! I don't notice much of a difference, but I'm sure it puts a bit of a strain on the smaller engine. I don't think the camper conversion exceeds the max rated load or anything like that. Considering the rear seats are removed (they're at least 40 lbs each), I figure it's the equivalent of driving around normally with 3 passengers at all times.
I didn't know you used the Canon M camera! I've been using the M and now M6 for a very long time for landscape photography. I suppose the M50 is on your wish list?
I love it! Especially with Magic Lantern. I'm thinking my next camera will need 4K. I'm leaning towards the GH5 or A6500, but maybe the M50 is another option I should consider!
I just got a 2011 Element with an E Camper on top. I am loving it! Have you ever thought about getting an E Camper? Ursa Minor Vehicles in San Diego made mine. Thank you for all the information on your inspiring videos.

Thats awesome. Ima convert a sienna. Cabs use toyota.
Even now this is still a crazy cool setup. Didnt know a honda element could be so chill to live in / out of
I can’t believe they stopped making this wonderful vehicle

Love the way you keep it simple but efficient & comfortable.
Looks like something I'd do with my Element, thanks

Right on! Thank you!
Never realized how useful a Honda Element could be. Makes me wanna find one and buy it. Always loved that wagon. Great setup.
We are element lovers! And it’s great to see you make so much out of such a small space.
unbelievable; the bed platform and desk are cool; that you have managed to fit your essentials in the micro house is amazing.
I could not imagine how you could possibly get more from that space ... personal fav... the desk setup.., very cool and looks super functional. Well done
Great job! Wish I could see more detail how u did the whole solar system...
Great set up, not over done. Great to see you used the space wisely
thanks for the tour of what you did to update...the sprayer does seem work real good, thanks Nate
Great video Nate. I like the locked off tripod shots for the tour rather than the typical handheld shaky cameras that you usually get with van tours. I just updated my element conversion too and put out a video for it. Take a look.
Thanks for sharing this tour of your van! It has really evolved over the years!
Love watching your videos, so keep them coming!
Nate, love your videos.
You have inspired me.
Be lucky, be healthy.
Peace.
That desk set up is amazing
thanks much, Nate, going to do some updating on my conversion before a road trip this coming summer. your vids are so inspiring!
Great video! Considering getting an element (currently have a Subaru but it’s just not enough space). Looks like a great setup!
Hi Nate: Nice tweaks to the basic setup you had. Always nice to make something better, based on needs and experience.
Nate great tour of your setup.. watching makes me miss my van stealthy. I still say smaller is better and is the way to go, but if i want Linda and Flash to go with me, Linda thinks we need that big ass 40' stealthy van...lol :) I loved my van!! Be safe. :)
Slick, the work you're putting into your video shooting and editing is showing!
A lot for too small space!!thank you for sharing. Happy and safe travels.

Nice solar upgrade! That's the panel I just installed onto my transit!
It's a great panel!
This is Exactly the set up I’ve been looking! Well done!!!!
first time here. really like the desk set up. another reason to keep the passenger seat!
I've heard if you use marine button snaps around your windows it works well keeping the window coverings in place. Sweet sweet up!
I love my Ellie! I'm not a camper or traveler, but I've used my Element to nap, hang out, and carry tons of stuff around! Love it. Just subscribed.
Awesome conversion, I miss my element.
Still a nice setup...thanks for sharing..... from Houston Texas
Nice tour of your van!
Righteous set up bro!!👍
very nice setup. love how it has evolved.

How tall are you? I'm 6"4, and am wondering if I could sleep in an element like you do

Brilliant video, cracking van :) x
Nice setup. Any development in ideas of what you want to do when Antine will join you?
Nico Veenkamp I think he said he would be willing to upgrade to like a sprinter or something bigger
Dude im about to get solar panels and everything for my camper van. Id like to talk to you. The solar power system. Is it hard to hook up?
Is your storage cabinet attached to anything other than the platform? Also, is the platform free or is it anchored to the car somewhere?
I can see how that works for you and Thanks for Sharing.
very nice set up even 4yrs later.
What adapter/outlet setup do u use? I want to buy the same ones if possible.
CoverKing should sponsor this video and give you a new driver seat! that thing looks gnarly
Do you have a link to the mattress?
what do you do when it's to hot at night ?
Nice living!😊
How noisy is the pump on the big kahuna?
I really wish Honda would bring back the Element. It would be nice if it was a hybrid with all wheel drive too.
Enjoyed the video!
I have a Nissan Rogue, do you think it could be turned in to a camper van
Nate love your videos. I'm looking at getting an Element. My question is with all the weight of your gear and shelving unit, did you have to beef up your rear suspension. Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing your upcoming videos.
I'm in the market for an 4WD model... Been looking for a month now for a good one for a good price.
It's really pretty nice!
Nice! Everything you need!
Do you have an Amazon link for the mattress you're using?
There's one at www.elementvanlife.com/shop - It's towards the bottom of the page, listed under "Other Stuff".
Great setup, keep it simple!! :)
How many miles you Honda Element?
Is it AWD?
Love it, very efficient !!

Thanks for the reply Nate! Keep making videos and living the life.
Righteous setup!!👍
The next time you going to do changes use PVC is more light and you can clean better than wood, and more easy to work with it
I have always liked the Element, even though my wife and son joke it looks like a box with wheels.
How does your car smell?
Have you ever thought about getting a new car for more room?
I just got a 2011 Element with an E Camper on top. I am loving it! Have you ever thought about getting an E Camper? Ursa Minor Vehicles in San Diego made mine. Thank you for all the information on your inspiring videos.
