seen in italian leg of european tour - helped carry equipment up the stairs, spoke with vern a little, the others being not too talkative, bought a t shirt, drank some of vern bourbon, lost the t shirt, got home..
amazing, love the footage of vern with the cig in the beginning. "...the spirit of youth dies at 21 when you just have, like, better things to think about or more things to think about..."
Yeah and who the f**k are you again? A talented musician who is obviously super intelligent and writes interesting thought provoking songs eh f**ktard 😂😂😂
Just received this DVD today. Just confirming that this performance + commentary is, indeed, all the footage of Unwound on Songs For Cassavetes (besides Arboretum(?) being a quiet backing track for some footage of Olympia). Still, it's worth a watch.
Thank you for posting this. Great show. Fluf played first. I remember walking down 5th Street & seeing a cabinet with Unwound sprayed on it & that was that. One of the best shows I have ever seen. That was a good day. I miss Off The Record when it was on 5th. Cheers.
He uses a few different tunings, mostly standard and some drop-D ("Usual Dosage") before the last couple albums, along with just tuning the low E up to F ("Arboretum"). The alt tunings that show up are mostly DADGAD and DADGAE. The Leaves Turn Inside You tunings are FsharpAEGAE and variations of that, along with the others previously mentioned. There may be a couple more, but these are the ones I've confirmed.
BlueMistBand No problem, but there are tabs out there for songs from Leaves Turn Inside You. You're gonna shit yourself (hopefully not literally) when you see all the tabs I've contributed to Ultimate Guitar: www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/unwound_tabs.htm tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/u/unwound/look_a_ghost_tab.htm
Benjamin White Yeah man that's awesome, thanks so much for that. If I may ask, ever thought about trying to do Terminus? Been trying to learn that forever.

If I ever, ever, ever become lucky enough to make a band, I'm citing these guys as my biggest influence.
lucky enough? it is a pretty common thing
luck plays a huge part in the existence of bands
@@rodrigodeavilagomez5913 depends on where you are.
its not about luck, its about love. these guys are lovers, i suggest you to be one.
@@fuphanwang9134 not everyone else is tho. Sometimes lovers can be very lonely

Vern, the first one (Fake Train or the self-titled) sounds nothing like the last one (Leaves Turn Inside You), goal accomplished.
"Like", "you know", "I mean". You can straight away feel the mind of a genius working there.
Yeah and who the f**k are you again? A talented musician who is obviously super intelligent and writes interesting thought provoking songs eh f**ktard 😂😂😂
What a time to be alive.
RIP VERN

Wow! Any more info on 'Songs For Cassavetes'?
I really want to know what tuning Justin uses.

Benjamin White Holy fuck thank you so much for that, there are literally no tabs out there for Leaves.
