I don’t know, as much as I love Unwound’s Vocals, Jay Reatard could scream-sing in different tones and melody almost, never got that was driving home a point with it. Kinda apples to oranges, different bands in the vast underworld of rockn’roll tho; both are great talents.

He put in; "Repitition", and almost immediately, I was like; "What is this? This is really fucking good". He said; "Oh, this is a band my parents showed me. They're called Unwound. When I first heard them, I thought they were just really weird and awkward. But Ive started to like them. They're pretty good." I loved em when I heard them. Ended up researching them, and buying every album I could find. And I must say, this was really cool to see!

Leaves is their final album and is really different from everything else they've done. A little more mellow than their other stuff and a little more experimental, but I think it's my favorite album of theirs. Future of What is great too. Then again, they all are

They have a debut album called 'Loose Power' that is really good too. Sounds very Unwoundish. My favorite track from the album is called "Gold Widow"
ngrrplz theyre not your straightforward safety pin buzzsaw-guitared punk rawk band like rancid or the casualties, but they perfectly embody the punk ethos, and fucking shred. u dont listen to a song like dragnalus and not call it punk. that makes them punk by all definitions.
