I have always adored you, Pete, and your content has only gotten better and your team is stellar. I wanted to say thanks to you for not being a LIV sellout and always showing us your heart. Plus you might be the best golfer on RUclips as we can all see your game just continues getting better. Keep up the great work. Cheers from the only golf store in Somerville MA!

    Very good!!! Much needed.
Also looking forward to watching you put these concepts into action on your next video. I did notice that when you really slowed everything down you hit the center but I also noticed that during the time you were demonstrating take back speed you got really focused on taking back and lost focus on everything else thus missing.
    AGAIN, THANK YOU!!!
    VERY HELPFUL.

Hit 100 putts per day from 3 ft for 1 week. If you can, use something like blast motion which will help you keep track and give you feedback on the stroke. It will absolutely transform your putting.

Great lesson Pete. I'm working hard on putting at the moment and taking lessons to help. Do you have any green reading videos planned? Not just reading turn, but pace too (particularly given that we're not on lovely South African greens like some!)

@@nickskerrett5240putting in windy conditions is no joke. It's not something that you can practice very easily either.

@@scallywagturk I don't doubt that at all. I've only played one links course so far and unfortunately, didn't get the full experience of windy conditions. Where I live it rarely gets windy enough to affect putts.

The elephant in the room is accurate aim or more precisely seeing line accurately from the address position. The final sneak peek that Pete positively advocates can throw aim off because of the parallax effect. There are a couple of Mike Malaska videos dealing with this though his solutions I cant get on with. (I'm trying to keep this post as short as possible so not going into the whys and wherefores unless asked!) He does drop one gem though, the observation that belief (seeing the line accurately) trumps trust (using the line on the ball or a mark on the line of putt). Out of hundreds s of vids on putting I must have seen only one very poor quality one by Geoff Mangum deals specifically with the sighting technique required to see line accurately. He deals with it also in his noughties book Optimal Putting at page 153 or so which a while ago you could download from the internet. In effect he advocates swivelling the head on the target line so that one eye lays vertically above the other. Of course you could try side saddle with the advantage of binocular vision!

I never look at the hole I look at where the ball would finish on a straight line through the higher point, if I look at the hole I often miss the line I picked 👍.

My problem is tigher grip pressure firms up my forearms and really helps keep my path on track. With a loose grip i can literally see my path "wobble"
So I'm losing pace control gaining start line
Obviously I'm trying to find some middle ground 😅

Great another video by an influencer perpetuating putting myths. Almost everything you stated about set up is wrong and not what Phil Kenyon, David Orr or Bruce Rearick say are truths. (Top 3 putting teachers in the world) I can’t watch the rest.
