- Join Kate and me as we ride around the wonderful New Forest on our way to the Two Stroke Day at the awesome Sammy Miller Museum (Smokin to Sammy's!).
You'll see some amazing bikes - if you like Two Strokes and classic bikes you're going to love this. I'm riding my RD250 YPVS and Kate is riding her Suzuki GT200 X5.

You can`t beat a two stroke. Ripped around on an X7 then an LC350 in the late 70`s early 80`s. The RD500 was way way out of reach of a teenager. I remember the 1st one i saw in the flesh so to speak. A guy i knew well who had a car sales place came into my local and said he had just collected his from the dealership. Me and all the gang that rode bikes trooped out of the boozer to have a look at it. What a bike. It was a GP bike on the road. Anyway i am now 60, god knows how! But i still have my GT750 (Kettle) in my collection. Viva la 2 stoke!
My yellow x5 200 never let me down and it had nearly 34,000miles on it when I sold it. Mint happy little bike. Fond memories.
Thanks for posting this and taking us with you for the day,,I had an X7 and 250lc with my Gsxr 1100h but as a young man I had IT Yamaha enduro on the road 175,,425,,465,, bottle of oil up the coat no passengers 😜☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland

Had a chance to buy a low-mileage early 90's Yellow RZ350 about 25yrs ago, that had electrical issues, but bowed out at the last second. Wish now i'd bought it.
I bet! Problem is not only have the prices gone up but good ones are real hard to find and people hold onto them.
Excellent stuff, I think they’re really underrated and an absolute bargain given the prices of 2 strokes.
I was riding behind a pair of MZ etz 250s of which one was oil pump and one premix. You should have seen how much smoke the premix puts out at low revs which stops above 20mph. The oil pump bike just a thin haze.

Yep love 2 stroke bikes had an rd lc Kawasaki ar125lc wanted a rd 350 f in red white n blue but had a rta and decided with quite a bit of arm twisting from my father and I'll buy you your 1st car to learn to drive. A biker mate at rhe time had an x7 in red x reg so 81 or 82 year must have been one of the last to be manufactured as i dont remember any y reg ones? .
