Competition Takeoffs - 2nd Freedom Open, Tolmin Slovenia 2021

It is very interesting to watch the paraglider pilots take off with their competition gliders. These high aspect ratio wings are much more challenging to take off (and fly) than the average casual club pilot paraglider. In return, these wings offer a significantly better glide ratio, especially when flown at accelerated speed.

Hi, a while ago my gf and me were in Tolmin and just did a hike and we saw at least 100 paragliders coming from seemingly out of nowhere. We were totally amazed at the sight and I had a camera on me and took some amazing pictures. I now want to send these pictures to the event organisers if there was an event to see if they want them. Can someone help me out?

Well, thats how it is in competitions... maybe today there are some more Gin and Niviuk and some other "exotics", but still the vast majority is flying Enzo... 🤷‍♂️
