Ya that one got me too. And these have to be some of the most difficult maneuvers, not many pilots are doing these types of takeoffs and landings, just a select few.
Even the most skilled pilots will sometimes encounter bad luck and in a sport where exceeding the margins can result in death -- well, you sir are much braver than I.
That upside down cobra launch was interesting! Will have to try that, I can see some advantages there. Very skillful launches (& landings) throughout, way to go!
Brave and persistent and adventurous! I have always loved your videos! You show the bullshit that talented and ambitious pilots find themselves in. Most of them i hope you don’t repeat, and some of them i have done! Cheers bro, hope you keep flying safe and healthy! ❤
David you have a great talent for flying. Beautiful places to fly. You are young so you keep pushing the envelope. I give no advice only that I used to do the same. I fell 100 meters flying in rotor and God and the Angels saved me. Fly High Fly Safe and have a beautiful life. I love the wing by the way.
I only realized after the fact that you also took part at Bergen Bordairrace. Would have loved to say Hi ✌️Thanks for your Videos, even though I sometimes had to look away 🙈
When doing reverse launch, I keep the brake-handles in the correct hand! So that I don't have to switch handles, or let go of them, in the most critical phase of paraglidng flight!
Hi David! Awesome video. At 2:55, what's that? Did you pull the rear risers trying to anticipate the huge collapse and block it? They didnt teach me that in SIVs :0
I rewatched that a couple of times & you can tell that he doesn't have his hands on the brakes at first, then he must feel a surge so as he puts his hands on the brakes, he experiences a front end collapse at the same moment. Just because without the brakes on, the angle is more angled down in the front and prone to collapses. Hope it helped for anyone wondering!
I love watching it and I don't care I just hope you don't get too deep into it and don't have enough to get yourself back out. I just want to sit in a seat like a lump and fly through the air and look out across the land. I'm hoping I can learn to land my paragliders successfully each time
You have access to some turbo beautiful spots man! Enjoyed all of it! Love how curious the cows are, yet fearful of tall objects :D That Phi glider - is it a hike and fly light gear type thing? Overall well done on all of these tight spots!
Well, for me personally, all those sites would not pass the first checkbox - "Do I think I die if I try to launch here?" :D And I dont know If I ever get to skill point where I consider these launches to be safe form :D Sending huge admiration sir :)
@@FragCool well, I have written it wrong probably. I think I would die, if I'd tried to launch there 😀 So my pilot skills are obviously on the same level as my English skill.
You are brave and lucky you need adrenaline because nothing is really classic in your video, you look for adventure and spicy spots (take off and landing). Take care. I've been through some of your stressful situations and I know through experience that we can't always have an angel looking after us. Even though you are skilled 😊
Can't believe it's always the same pilot... does fly in competition, has done very tricky landings in some spots, and then with a beginner a-wing (Phi viola I guess), can't even take off in relatively easy conditions, or does land with the wind instead of against, or doesn't even attach the speed system. WHY?!"?!
It's a Viola in size 12 (aka miniwing). Never landed with the wind. On that flight without the speed system I didn't think I needed it, even had to do a forward launch on top.
@@hasidavid2 let's be clear: I believe U are a much better pilot than me. But in minute 3:00 U clearly land with the wind, U even fall on Ur knees because of too much speed and the wing falls in front of U even with full brake applied. But still, it's good to show also the mistakes :) I was questioning why U would do such beginner mistakes, when in other parts U show quite some experience
Too much risk taken... one day for sure a bad surprise will happen. I don’t understand people who find this great. It is stupid and you should not do many stuffs
One day, you’ll find yourself lying 10m down from where you tried to launch, with a broken leg and no or poor mobile phone signal. You’ll have plenty of time to think about those who will risk their lives trying to find and rescue you
I do not care what you are doing or not doing........... And I do know that you are a skilled and experiened paraglider-pilot.......... But I do care about the fact, that every taxpayer and/or insurance policy owner has to come up to a certain degree for stupid rescue missions in case something goes wrong..... // = That is the fact, that really bother's me ! // If someone wants to walk on the edge (= in every sport) he or she should also be paying (= monney wise) for the rescue. // It is a smiliar problem when race for the X-alps......
With such an artful subscribe reminder in the video, I had to click that button. Amazing takeoffs and landings!
Ya that one got me too. And these have to be some of the most difficult maneuvers, not many pilots are doing these types of takeoffs and landings, just a select few.
One thing is clear sir, you're not risk averse. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you always safe and happy landings!

Loved the throw and inflate on the Hike and Fly 😎👍
The toss and launch is a sure sign of a alpine veteran, you sure like it tight!
Absolutely brutal! More exciting than an action movie.. :D
You sir, are insane
Damn good though.

Incredible landing!!
Respect!

What happened and what was that response at 2:56?
First landing was awesome.
yeah I was impressed by that one
Wohooo lets gooo 🤩🔥🦅
When the wing overshot at 0:17 I gasped audibly! Way to shut it down!
These were amazing! Loved it. Great deflation on the strong wind landing.
Very unprofessional!!!

one of the best
I meed to go kiting more. Such tight control on those take offs
What size of wing are you using for what Total flying weight ?
It depends on what gear I take with me. My usual Hike&Fly gear has 14 sqm loaded at around 77 kg.
I took the advice from just down the hill 😉 Subbed. Some of that stuff, well most actually, was nuckin' futs brother. WOW!
hey man any new videos coming??
You have enough lives to make a cat jealous
Cool video! Nice one walking over the rocks.
Hey great video, what a kill technique is it at 5.30? C-Risers?
Yep

In Hungary oldfashioned instructors were teaching this stupid take off method. Nowadays its shameful bad technique.
I like your ground handling level-skil.
Damn man, that thing gets up QUICK! Much faster than a paramotor wing!
7:29-nál jöttem rá, hogy magyar vagy. Jól tolod nagyon, respect! :D
Great compilation. What size is your Viola ?
Size 12
how have I not seen this channel before!
enjoyed every second,
keep up the good work
where do you fly most of the time?
He flies in Austrian alps a lot! I do also

how big is that viola and how high are you loading it?
Viola 12 with about 78kg
Your skill set is pretty impressive! And you have thick enough skin to post less than perfect flights!!

On the Top you got often different Direktions of Wind .One is Wind and other ist Termalwind .Then is better to start from deeper Point .
how do you get so good!! can you make a video about how you make a decision to launch or not at any site?
I might just make a video about Hike&Fly takeoffs.
You have to watch many youtube video to teach yourself. Then, monkey see, monkey do
I am glad I hang glide : those collapses are scary!!
this was great, I totally enjoyed it
Love it! Fly safe! 🙂

Wahnsinns Cobra!!
To me my paragliding teacher said when you see someone who is pumping with the breaks that’s a dump
Awesome.
Why does yelling CMON to the wing never work =(.
Min 5:26 = penk im mölltal?
When you buy your next chute, choose a red or yellow one, because then you are way better to see for airplane pilots!
Just do it !!! ❤
crazy man
Something tells me your wing weighs 25 percent of my tequila 5 xl........
Thanks. I'll try not to do that !
