The way the album is set up, these songs are back-to-back, so when it fades off, you hear this anger from James after the guitar part that scares the heck out of you for a second. Truly amazing.

The transition between these 2 songs in particular I'll never fucking forget... You go from tears into smashing down the front door...
This two songs can be consider like a single song. to live is to die, as a prelude to dyers eve, one of the most aggresive songs.

This is the way these 2 awesome songs are supposed to be listened to. Ear shredding volume and the instantaneous merge between the 2. RUclips is very upset that they couldn't shoehorn a "video will resume after ad" buzzkill in there. Thanks for the upload brother Bud. @@overactiveimagination it's fun to play I play guitar and i have the tab book so like I said it shows that the violin part is played with the chords with the volume off then you play the chord and turn the volume up... I mostly play acoustic but i have played this on electric in the past and it sounds perfect xD

@@nastycanadian1975 I think they stopped selling them, all I could find was an ebay link but I dont know how legitimate it is. But yeah the violin part is done by guitar, you can kind of hear that effect in No More Tears and Damage Inc.

However I clearly hear a jump between these two tracks here. Is this taken from an MP3 version or a CD? If it's a CD then you CD player is one that jumps a fraction of a second between tracks. Many MP3 players do that too.
I've listened to this side 4 of the double ...And Justice For All album on vinyl hundreds of times since 1988. The join between these two songs on the vinyl version is seemless. You should try getting a copy.

Still have my first copy of Justice on vinyl. The last "Great" Metallica album. I was still in shock over Cliffs death (He was the reason I started playing bass) I knew of Newstead and liked Flotsam and Jetsam so I had hope and they delivered Two mins. into Blackened I had goosebumps, (Last Metallica to do that) That old record has gotta' have a billion miles on it...Then they sold out to Fortune & Fame!

@@richtigeralman9474 Since Justice the only album that I liked was Load, The black album was to clean and commercial sounding, the songs were good but way to mainstream sounding, The raw mosh pit head banging feel just wasn't there, not a bad album but not a great one either, then Load though a different kind of sound and a bit mellow was a really good album with some great songs so I had hope, but Reload took that away, I don't know what the hell they were thinking but it was not even a good album and the next three albums were just as bad, So in my opinion the last Great Metallica album was Justice, I still hope without holding my breath that they will put out another great album someday like their first four, Garage days were all cover songs so I don't count it, even though it was a great album.
@@richtigeralman9474 If you say so, but I'm not gonna force myself to listen and pretend to like something I don't, the talent is still there but they're not writing good songs or albums, just listen to Ride the Lightning then St. Anger and that's what I'm talking about!

@@thomassnider6691 Not sure what they were trying with St Anger but it did not work even though Death Magnet was more Metallica like I did not care much for it either, Now Hardwired was a much better album even though it reminds of a another great band Testament. I've been hoping to see another studio album from them, they really need to put out at least one more great album.

Могли бы остаться легендой андеграунда, которая вывела из андеграунда и сделала более доступным тот же самый андеграунд. Жаль Бартон погиб. Мне кажется, с ним такого не случилось бы. And Justice For All для меня вершина того, что сделала Металлика. Увы, дальше только деградация с одним светлым моментом - альбомом каверов на переиздании Garage Days
