- We stuck the GoPro into one of Bill's lobster traps, set it off of Cozy Harbor (Southport, Maine) in about 30 feet of water and recorded what happened for the next two hours. In this first segment of raw footage, you can see the trap being thrown in, and then multiple lobsters enter and leave, plus an eel show up -- all in the first few minutes after going into the water!
The bait was hanging too close to the entrance. Set it back towards the parlor door. 100 years of family experience. Three generations.
New sub here. Awesome!
thanks. very interesting. Now I'm hungry for Lobster!
Next time hang your net up towards the lid so that less get out
Right, there was an undersized lobster left in the trap from when we hauled it. It was kind of stuck in the mesh and we didn't want to hurt it, and as you can see, they have no trouble getting back out again once they are in the water.
ya looked like the trap had landed on it from the start,,, and he crawled through the trap mesh to get in ,,,
Wow excellent! Thank you for sharing!
Was that one lobster in there the whole time? Cause it looked like as it hit the water he appeared?
You can see as soon as he threw it two claws went up in the air.
Derek Borba I didn't see it that soon thanks, must be like one that lures the rest in?!?! lol
k123332 Either that or they wanted people to think they were that good that lobsters entered their traps immediately lol
😂You can only keep lobsters that are a certain size. It was too small and it is sometimes not worth taking them out of the trap if they are in the corner because it is easy for them to get your finger. If you just leave it in they usually just leave the trap.
Lobbster must have been in there, just look at the kid looking at it just Before they throw it in
You need a bigger pot, or is it more of a resteraunt?
Thanks! This fun!
when does the eel come into the cage?
