    These guys bust their asses to make a modest living and yet probably cherish every moment of their lives on the water . They're likely part of the last few generations to enjoy this way of life.

    Very cool and interesting job! Also love that they are playing Daft Punk. The RAM album is one of the best albums ever!

    love the youtube videos of the bys hauling gear ....only thing that bugs me is the Maine “lobstermen” making comments telling us how to fish when we’re the biggest producers. Oh btw Maine “lobstermen” our lobster is superior in every way possible except one thing ....marketing....but our lobsters sell themselves

    That's pretty slick! How deep are you fishing and how far apart are you snapping your gear ? We fish Dungeness crab out here in BC the same way

      It a measure u can't keep small lobsters

    • @redsnailer
      @redsnailer 9 лет назад +3

      Neil Beaton It measures the lobster's penis's

    • @neilbeaton9498
      @neilbeaton9498 9 лет назад +1

      Thunderf00t Ahh, gotcha. Do they only keep the ones that have small dicks? Probably an over-fishing type of issue. The lobsters with huge dicks are left in the water so that they can continue to impregnate the female lobsters. I heard about it in my crustacean biology class. The female lobsters are highly attracted to the well-hung lobsters, and the population continues to grow.

      Neil Beaton It has to be between 3 1/4 and 5 inches. Little ones and big ones are thrown back and so are females that either have eggs or have a V-Notch in their tail flipper. If the female you catch has eggs but no notch, you have to cut one into the flipper and throw it back.
