I have had one of these kits for a couple years, I originally had horrendous condensation, glad to say, for two years, totally clear, well worth fitting. Great video Andrew, well done.
I’ve just had mine installed. They worked for a while. Depends on the weather conditions. Today my head lights have never been this bad. Professionally installed. So they’re not a absolute fix for condensation.
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, the area that is most susceptible to letting condensation or water in is the seal. Those need to be resealed every so often because the flex and crack with every drive. If you drive it in the rain, water will get in through the liner area and short out the fans. I've had mine on for about a year and so far so good.
Hi Andrew, me again, just to say a couple of months ago, I sold the Vantage and bought a DB9, same horrendous condensation problem as the Vantage however, Im glad to say AM Upgrades also produce a venting kit for the DB9 which I purchased and fitted, it has worked wonders, solved the condensation build up, very pleased. Thanks again for your video, they are so helpful for people to decide what to do, keep it up.
Hey Mark that is awesome to hear and I'm jealous of your v12 :( I'm glad this was able to help you and point you in the right direction. Have fun with your new ride!
Great video, well done. I fitted the AMUpgrade DB9 kit two weeks ago, it has cleared the constant headlight misting, when my headlights misted up, it would take 24 hours to clear, the lighting at night was terrible, this kit is a must, excellent results.
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for sharing. It is a very nice kit. I believe they now have a regulator where you can manually turn it on or off so that it is not off the coolant temps
@@EdwinJordan-c8d Yea hes a good dude. Only issue I have with the jack pads are the O-Rings keep popping off or snapping. But, the pads do help lift the car properly without damage. Scariest part of working on the aston is lifting it. ;)
Well... In Sweden it is mandatory to drive with low beam daytime... I have NEVER hade a condensation in my headlights... Due to information on the issue, I decided to do a hole i the bottom of the headlights ( and the backlights ). I am driving an AM Vantage V8 - 06, which is driven in all weather during a 4 months period each Year....
I've had condensation in the headlights before, which is why I went to this kit. Ever since I've never had an issue. However, my rear taillight also had condensation and it shorted the circuit board. The headlights are too expensive so I went and got the kit. Consider yourself lucky to have never had condensation in any area. It sucks
maybe it would be OK just to seal around the original plastic flap in the wheel arch? it cant be great throwing up gallons of water in the rain? My own 2015 vantage V8 mists up slightly in the rain, but overnight its gone.
I've never driven this car in the rain to determine how much water gets soaked in. However, it does state that if you do not properly seal around the entire enclosure, the warranty is void.
Thanks for the informative video.I'm in UK and I'm looking to buy the headlamp ventilation kit. I emailed my interest to amupgrdes about 4 days ago and had no response. Do you know if AM Upgrades are still going? Do you have any other contact details? Many thanks.
Hi Mark, as far as I know of Ian is still operating. He was very responsive when I emailed him considering the time zone differences. For you, he should be available even more. I had a friend just order so I know they are still operating. If you DM me your email, I would be happy to reach out to Ian and CC you on the email.

Thanks Mark! Glad it's held up. They also brought out a new regulator you can purchase so that it doesn't burn the fans out.

Excellent piece of kit
Agreed. Worth it rather than spending 4k replacing a headlight
Definitely I’ve ordered one from Ian and some jack pads good value for the money so the jack is in the
Right place every time
