Finally comparison I was looking for, thank you. I personally chose the convenience (premium) pack, have it for 4 weeks and it's amazing, I'm keeping this car forever. I don't think I'll ever reach the limits of this car (e.g. I've never even turned off ESC so far) and I wanted those extra safety and sound and HUD bits. But you can't go wrong with any GR pack I think. :-) Enjoy!
Congratulations! Good choice, ordered the Convenience pack too. Due in a couple of months. Loved my 3 circuit pack test drives, esc always on! But couldn't accept the ridiculous compromises of that spec for me as a daily blast. The clever electronics supersede the circuit pack's 2 torsen lsd's until esc is turned to expert mode or fully off. Therefore lsd's weren't relevant to my test drives or needed in mine. I have no intention of turning esc off or doing track days. If it snows, you can leave it in normal mode and press the esc once to only disable traction control😉 I'll likely be changing the tyres straight away but that's it. How are you finding those dunlops lol?👍
@@James-RJM Hello, to tell the truth if we could combine both these packs I would pay an extra for that, but... yeah. As for the Dunlops, I have no comparison so they're good I think? :-) I practically ordered this car immediately without even trying it, first time I actually drove it was out of the car dealer (yes).
@@Substance242 As I'll be driving only on the road and keeping esc on, as in my test drives, the torsens would be wasted on me. I get the need for them if tracking or amateur rallying and disabling esc. If that's your thing, an aftermarket lsd can always be added but I'd change the tyres 1st. That's the biggest difference between standard and Circuit pack car until esc is disabled. Enjoy it 👍
@@Substance242 Hi Peter. My convenience pack arrived 11 days ago. All run in now. I had the dealership remove the dunlops and put Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 5's on from day 1. It's even better than I expected 😃 Grip is just as good as the circuit packs I tested, leaving esc ON! Zero understeer or wheelspin wet or dry!! Suspension Sooooooo much better on the road and all the Convenience extras make the car, for real world daily use. The BSM are invaluable 😉👍
@@James-RJM Hello, thanks for information. There are only a few places where I can safely trigger this, but I discovered some understeer too with the Dunlops. So good to know, when ordering new tyres sometime later I'll buy something better. Also, there's another video comparison of the two packs here: ruclips.net/video/7gA4OXqqI6w/видео.html All is fine, still completely happy with this small crazy thing (with ceramic detailing now). :-)
Great video! Apart from english subtitles would be perfect if you also gave some feedback on what inputs you make in the car and drifts so smooth! Coming from RWD its a steep learning curve to do it in the GRY
J’imagine Lewis Hamilton qui regarde dans le rétro dans son AMG GT et pense « Je ne vais quand même pas me faire doubler par une Yaris ». Mais oui, Lewis, tu vas te faire enfumer par la Yaris 😂.
I take it you meant French! Lol.. Circuit pack for drifting. Both will start to but you need the lsd's to continue the momentum, if that's your sort of thing. If so, I hope you have sufficient savings to constantly be replacing the tyres😁 Both are with esc Off. That's where the lsd's come into play. Both also, here, are wearing michelin ps4s's. Stock on circuit only. If however you are going to be using it only or mainly on the road as a daily with esc on, as I will, and you enjoy having the extra toys and safety aids you might want to get the Convenience/luxury pack. Then you'll only need to put the ps4s's or Goodyear f1 supersport to improve both braking and all round grip, compared to Stock dunlops, especially on the front axle.
Put this in English NOW LOL. Got into a heated argument with a clueless guy who reviewed the 'inconvenience pack' and claims the car isn't fun. NO ONE cares about the non-track pack version of this vehicle LOL, it's actually a cardinal sin to buy one.
I've bought the convenience pack because I want the full beans edition available in other markets. All I need to do is add the LSDs later. Only 3% of all sales were convenience packs so I'll have the rarest car in the UK being convenience and circuit pack combined. It's also worth bearing in mind that Evo magazine...the most respected car review authority....gave both editions 5/5 stars. I don't even know why people who buy the circuit pack are so angry about people getting another version. LSDs hardly ever come into play during normal driving since the cars governed by the ESC. In a 4 wheel drive car even less relevant. In any case, go look at the video of the circuit pack that rolled 5 times on a track. The car is not designed to drift, it doesn't have the wheelbase balance. As autocar magazine showed recently, it's the least able to drift on a skid pan due to its innate levels of grip.
@@Stringwar Facts state that the GR Yaris with the circuit pack LSD's is at least 3 - 4 seconds quicker around tracks with corners. Also, the inconvenience pack's 'perks' are all sub-par offerings that everyone upgrades with third-party accessories, meanwhile the extra Torsen LSD in the circuit pack is gold. The car actually IS designed to drift, but it's designed to be driven hard on gravel and snow too, so it HAS to have excellent grip levels, think about it. Additionally, the car's suspension can actually be tuned to make it drift easier on dry tarmac, and let's not forget the HANDBRAKE. Plus, everyone and their dog has seen the GR Yaris going super side-ways on every type of surface, so I don't know where you have been living.
@@sunrisesunset1734 Around a track yes of course the "circuit" pack gives circuit benefits, duh! The non LSD model is actually faster in a straight line but we'll put that to one side. I don't really get why you're so angry at people choosing another version of the car.....well actually I do, it's because you want what the convenience pack has and you don't want anyone else to have it. All this mocking is weird man. Very very weird and insecure. The GR Yaris is inherently an understeering car, if you'd watch all the video content of the in depth analysis of the car you'd know this. Just because there is evidence of oversteer doesn't mean the car is "driftable" or even very controllable in oversteer. like I said, one has already been in a catastrophic oversteering accident. At least I'll get my LSDs from the breakers yard with people like you on the road.
mate i don't think i've seen anyone driving a GR as smoothy and effortlessly as you do, you and the corners.cz guy. Absolutely mental.
Thanks !
Bravo au pilote pour les explications, la prise de vue au top et les sessions sur circuits aucun magazine Fr ne fait mieux, continuez comme ça :-)
Merci pour les encouragements 😉

Is GR Yaris track package in video come with LSD ?
Are you seriously asking that question?

What is the better drivers car ? The gr Yaris or focus rs ?
