I just found your channel and I appreciate your videos. I got a haircut two months ago and it looks like a mullet rather than long layers so it was quite depressing, but I’m letting it grow out and figure. I better learn to cut my hair myself at home. Thank you!

Almost every time I asked for layers (and this was when my hair was thick - it has really thinned as I've aged) it looks like a mullet. Now I layer it myself or at the most ask for long layers. I only have my hair done at a salon once or twice a year to get the bottom blunt cut and even things out as I cut it myself the other times.

I do not like going to the hairdresser. I always. I always come back with choppy layering and the end feel thin. I start doing my own. But I love your thorough explanation. I love the in visible layers. BTW, your hair is beautiful! Keep up the great educational videos.

I watched this because it said it was for "thin" hair. All due respect, you have thick hair! One of your sections is equivalent to my whole head.
I still get it though, thank-you!

It’s interesting you mention that. As as I can I will be dedicating a big section of my channel to thinning hair. I’ve been away for a while and I’ll send you a message as to why. I love my viewers. I learn from all your comments.

HeyNicole maybe you can send me a private message , even dm on Instagram. I would like to tell you what’s going on with my channel and where I’ve been before I make it known. But I will be showing on myself how to manage thin hair and which haircuts work best. It’s been a journey but I learned the hard way.

      Hi mam,
I really wanted to ask you which hair suits for really thin hair which is of less volume. But hair length is big. Can you please tell me your insta id or else if possible you can tell me here. I'm looking for it everywhere

This is a lot of fine hair. I have thin/fine hair. I wish someone would design a haircut for this. It has been this way all my life and I don't want short hair. It splits more on the sides than the back. I have a very nice face with big eyes. I look great in wigs but no thanks. Id' like a layered cut with the sides short and the back long. Is that a tall order? I am sure that I am not alone.

I appreciate that you did the haircut in four parts, much less overwhelming 😊.

If you have a face frame, can you leave that front bit out all together and just cut it with the face frame or do you need to still make sure it connects to the back layers?

    So…. What if I don’t have layers?
Backstory, I had a blunt bob that was slightly graduated towards the front. It was a Klohie K with the baylayage included. But last year I was pregnant, and now with a newborn being our 2nd child, so I haven’t had even a trim in over a year. It has grown about 8 inches maybe.
When I pull it all forward, it’s a little bit past my arm pits now. With all the natural growth I don’t really have any defined lines anymore. And overall it just feels like it needs to be cleaned up, and it would surely feel sooooo much better with any help.
I was planning on doing just a straight edge across the length, to try and get it cleaned up. But I was wondering if I also would need to do a little bit on long layers too, basically to just lighten up the weight too. My hair is naturally stick straight, fine, and a lot of hairs.
    Do u recommend anything?
Haha I just realized my pic on here shows my hair cut last time I got it done. So add about 10-8 inches of natural grow out to that pic. 😂

One of the best tutorials I've seen for this. ONE QUESTION, how do you know when enough hair has fallen out of your fingers to keep your length intact, when you're combing it up vertically above you head? I saw you comb it up, look at it, and almost start cutting, but instead you pulled your fingers up higher to let more hair fall before you cut those ends off. How can we know we've allowed enough length to fall out of our fingers so we don't accidentally cut our length and create holes as you said? xoxoxo! 🙏

Good question. What I do is a section the whole bottom back horizontally, in other words I section off the part I do not want to touch which is about almost half of my head but the bottom part and that way I dont have to worry about ruining that bottom part which is crutial, because I have less hair at the bottom and yes I have been left with very thin hair at the bottom at salons, so I perfer to cut it my self.

I only have half as much hair as you, and the underlayer is kinky. I’m worried this wouldn’t end up looking good on my hair. What do you think?

Is this safe for much thinner hair?

    • @kristymaccone7045
      @kristymaccone7045  3 года назад +1

      Hi Sunshine
Yes I would say it is. If it is thinner on the bottom closest to the neck well maybe you might want to start your layering higher ( like part the hair like an inch or two above the ears and do not layer anything beneath that part).
      Thank for watching

When you did the very last quadrant you completely overdirected jt to the opposite side of the head but which is something you didnt do on the other side... i think the technique itself is probably good but it wasnt a very good execution
