Recent purchase and setup of the YouLoop Passive Magnetic Loop Antenna for use on Longwave and VLF. In this video I will discuss my reasons for trying out this youloop passive loop antenna. I bought this antenna from ebay for a total of $34.95. I'm hoping that I can receive longwave and VLF signal consistently. It is recommend that you use a high dynamic receiver radio like the SDRPlay RSPdx or the Airspy HF+ Discovery. I will be posting a series of videos and eventually a full review. Maybe also a comparison with other loop antennas that I own. I hope you will enjoy my series of videos.

No need to adjust.
Low loss broadband BALUN, typical loss is 0.28 dB.
This is a super portable passive HF/VHF loop antenna.
This antenna is recommended for High Dynamic Receiving mode of some SDRs like the SDRPlay RSPdx, Duo and Airspy HF+ Discovery.
It also works to some extent with the RTL-SDR V3 in direct sampling mode if you enable RTL AGC.
But for radios without super low MDS specs, the signals can be boosted on by using any external low cost HF amplifier.
Note: This antenna is not waterproof, if you use it outdoors, please do waterproof treatment yourself, such as waterproof glue.
