I discovered that the M79 is a literal laser guided mortar. I marked tunnel locations on the map with the rally mark, ranged my gun and shoot. Got like a 359 meter tunnel kill with it on Cua Viet.
@@lagboi4539 I noticed that to! I'm always in the receiving end when it happens but I've noticed players using the grenade launcher as a mortar. How did you do it again?
I'm a former marine and I have to say that while this game gets alot of guns right, lmg's are underpowered compared to real life and hmg's are WAY underpowered. This is mostly because machine guns are normally operated in crews in rea life where you would atleast have a loader and a spotter. In the game you're just a big walking target (except for on really long range maps).
Really? This is surprising since I find that machine guns are very strong in this game and I am able to get 30-50 kills in a match with the mgs, more consistently than any other class.
Mg's in this game can be deadly in the right hands, I myself have gotten alot of kills as an MG on maps like Firebase. What I mean is that MG's in real life are operated by crews and are far more efficient and tend to inflict more casualties. To use the MG effectively in RS2 you have to act more like a sniper.
Personally I would have liked it if the game had an extra class called an MG assistant, where you would have binoculars, a carbine, smokes, several belts of ammo and the ability to help reload the MG faster. Kind of like how the radio is supposed to be paired with the commander.
A SEA player here and I hope you read this. I'm level 84 rn and hadn't play the game in a while. But after you mentioned about shooting down a spook with RPG. I immediately tried it and I did it (after many trials) 😂
My favourite thing to do was because I could hear the commander in-game through enemy VOIP, I don't know if that got patched eventually or anything like that but I noticed at some point it stopped working so I relied on in-game dialogue. Mainly worked for VC. I'd make a solo squad, go around the map to the enemy commander's radio set and hide literally beneath them, behind the desk or maybe just near enough so I can hear them. Commander:"Bird dog, this is-" Me, spamming team chat:"They're calling in recon." Commander:"Burn them for me will-" Me, spamming team chat: "They're calling in napalm." I remember I kept doing this to one particular commander and despite his best efforts he wasn't getting any kills despite getting perfect marks. He said in-game, "I don't get how they're managing to not kill anyone." Did this so many times and it was so fun.
“You can just get one shotted by it, there’s very little you can do to counter it other than fire first and hope that he didn’t fire at all” Your explanation of shotguns perfectly sums up my experience as a noob getting killed by literally every weapon in the game
One way I like using the DSHK is to set it up inside a building so that you have narrow field of fire to the objective building but not elsewhere and then just keep spraying through the windows and walls to keep the enemies suppressed and hopefully get some kills as well. This way you don't need to worry about enemies shooting you from the side.
Huge shoutout to Mr.Deds! Also glad you mentioned the Bayonet prep, I used to use that tactic as a VC on Hill and kill the commander while he's on the radio.
I'll mention that claymores also work rather well as improvised demolition charges, good for blowing up a VC tunnel without having to wait around for the timed prompt to demolish it. Just run up, set it up, run back and blow it. Faster and less likely to get you killed. Also, the lack of the rest of the call-ins is kinda disappointing, but eh.
I personally have hundreds of hours in the game and find it to be a comfort game of sorts. It’s so god damn fun, the community is insane and the matches are intense

Flamethrower is ok overall, but S tier on some maps like Hue City. There are just so many ways to kill people behind corners and over walls that you can singlehandedly hold and clear most of the obj on that map.
Probably my proudest moment in RS2 was smacking a Helo out of the sky accidentally with the rifle grenade, dude flew over me right as I was lobbing them at the point.
Fun fact. With the mas grenades, if you aim and turn the range all the way up. When hip firing the nades come out at mac 3. Meaning you can assault positions way easier.
The only thing I can think about the mortars is they give you an opportunity to clear the cap with your guys on it. I know they were an option in RO2, but they were an option alongside artillery. Also, I never thought I would hear the japanese theme from Il2 Sturmovik 1946 on here.
There are some modded maps that let certain classes place a 50cal and sandbags that anyone can use and you can place it anywhere it fits. Really cool and makes for some crazy strategic placements.
Some of the most fun I've had in this game is going defense as North Vietnam on Hill 937, getting the HMG from D or E objective, placing it in a very good spot and just spraying the incoming Cobras and Loaches, makes it more fun when a team mate does the same right next to you.
Honestly my favourite thing to do. I love when you can tell they are annoyed at you and target you like crazy. I've had games where the pilots just give up after a while

I shot first and killed easily more than 8 guys. People on my team praised me for defending the point "D-9341 saved the day" But what I remember very well, is theyr scream. To anybody who used the flamethrower, you know the ennemy have a particular scream when killed by fire. AND IT STACKED ! The Claymore is viable, but situational. I love it on Georgina. It’ll kill anybody standing up in front of you for like 30 metres, through foliage. Just use it to clear out dense jungle. You can also place it above your head without exposing yourself. At C point on Georgina you just crouch inside the house and place it on the windowsill to blast away anyone in the jungle. That and if you have time to set up before an attack just place it in a bush pointed toward choke points or cover that you know the enemy will use, then just blow it when they get there, you don’t have to watch it 24/7
The fact that RPG has 0 arming distance, while grenade launcher for GI has....The amount of times I and my squad got shotguned point blank by it! Oh Boi!
SMG at C-tier is CRIMINAL! It's sooo good at ranges if you know what you're doing and I've pulled 150m shots with the PpsH-41 before consistently enough that I had a whole squad of enemies coming just to find me and kill me over and over again. SMG should be B or A tier for how incredibly broken they are at close range while also giving you medium range capability and more adaptability than assault rifles do.

I once put a claymore in the tunnels of that map that is big and has plenty points, and as i was waiting for a poor soul, i got bored, and just blowed it and i killed like 6 people because, one was defusing the claymore while the others waited.

As a pro of this game, ill put this in Perspective I have 200 hours in this game and I'm done. I was already pro before I played this game, and it only took me 15 hours to learn and "master" this game. There's only few people who stand aginst me... but one person on the whole entrie game that scares me. Idk his name anymore, I've only played one day aginst him and I didn't win once and only killed him 3 times. He was the first person I've seen with all achievements or for me to care to look, he HAD 8000 thousands hours... (at the time that was 1800 hours a year) he was incredible... everything he did was calculated and prefect at a game level and advantage on all players. I never met someone who's map knowledge was 100%, and his combat was perfect. I spent a couple of hours watching videos trying to get better and none of them are useful including yours (sorry) when your already pro/dedicated to this game. BUT THIS GUY, watching him as a spectator made me into a better player instantly. Ive learned things that no one ever seen or talked about. Small tactics that i never thought of, one of them was too picked up the best gun in the game as vc and its so easy but i never thought to pick up the m16 as vc on purpose (20 rounds to kill at any range, and has one of the best sites and accuracy) or the f1a1 same idea. It's incredible what a difference is between a natural pro vs master of this game. If your wondering how much better, I was doing about 70 to 90 kills a match with 8kd, this guy.... he was pulling 90 with easy and 110 kill games every other match, with a 17~ kd.
Very well made video, I can see you got inspiration from Martincitopants and youve executed it great. Truly a very underrated shooter also, wish the Devs gave it more development and promotion is perfect mix between Realism and Arcade I find
I've always used the claymore defensively when loosing a point, ill leave em behind but try to stay with in radius, wait like 10 secs or 20 then boom, usually I get a kill if I leave em on a recently lost objective
I think stock lowered with the grease gun is better also on the xm1 especially with CQB in point but ive been able to hit 100m with the stock down idk just glad there's ppl talking about there best way of using it
so does anyone even know that turning your collector all the way down when your tail rotor is gone You can still control the helicopter as long you dont raise the collector and properly get back to base to repair or emergency land without teammates blaming you for their deaths?
My PC fucked up recently, i think i need a new power supply, but the one game I really miss is Rising Storm Vietnam. It's a shame to hear that 1812 has been delayed for some other franchise that nobody cares about anymore. I would love to see 1812 hit consoles, although ill probably be back on pc soon.
I don't know if this is still a thing (or if it really was a thing, I could just be tripping) but in servers where there are 2 rounds if you change your role while the guy says "swapping sides" you get to see the role select screen just a little bit faster than everyone else. That's how I was always able to get attack helicopter and sniper despite having bad internet and a crappy PC.

thanks bro means a lot, i'll try my best
SMG at C-tier is CRIMINAL! It's sooo good at ranges if you know what you're doing and I've pulled 150m shots with the PpsH-41 before consistently enough that I had a whole squad of enemies coming just to find me and kill me over and over again.
SMG should be B or A tier for how incredibly broken they are at close range while also giving you medium range capability and more adaptability than assault rifles do.
4:32
Holy shit dude I haven't heard that theme in years...
hehe, it was a big part of my childhood, I remember bombing Pearl Harbour like it was yesterday
4:41 hearing the original Il2 Japan music triggered my fight or flight response wtf
Tantwo: Lastly, we have claymore mines...
NFG: What? Claymores? I love Claymores! I used them all the time in COD-
Tantwo: WHO SAID THAT!???
NFG: *silence*
Tantwo: I'm revoking the "Kill 1x Tantwo with claymore for Zinger Burger Combo deal"
NFG: NOOOO!
It’s Weird I just recently discovered your channel and it caused me to relapse and start playing a bunch of rising storm two again.. this video like most of your videos has a lot of humor in it but I was kinda hoping for an in-depth tier list of all weapons. Either way I liked, keep up the good work.
Using MW2 music duirng the grenade launcher review was a nice touch.
I have PTSD from those noob tubes
There's only a few spots in the game where you can make a sniper rifle really effective at range. Most just poke 300 metres, a couple give you 550m shot potential
6:28 as an Egyptian i thank you for using one of our most famous patriotic songs i hope you have a good day mate!
Havent seen one of your vids in a while but im glad you havent stopped because im still passionate about this game and i play a lot on that mega server with the 3 different slots on the server list lol
The other day I saw a WP barrage round hit a phantom as it flew over, it did not die
5:10 I mean door gunners do get fun results
Quite casual
Some of those are quite harsh, for instance bayonets getting C
I mean, bayonets are pretty reliable fast emergency resorts in most buildings
13:50 White phosphorus is not a war crime
But understandable that you’d like it be one, adds character
20:20 That happened all the time
Not historically inaccurate
I once put a claymore in the tunnels of that map that is big and has plenty points, and as i was waiting for a poor soul, i got bored, and just blowed it and i killed like 6 people because, one was defusing the claymore while the others waited.
Good vid mate, hilarious! :)
thanks bro means a lot
Really nice work, I’m detecting hints of Martincitopants. Well done, you’re easily the best rs2 RUclipsr
The personal callout to heifercakes got me lmao. Shoutout to all you LMC gaming bois.
this remids me of martincitopants
Edit: welp, i didnt have read your comment before writting mine
Love the bit of pumped up kicks for whitey mcwigga
Ultimate chad move : get marksman class, sit in a poorly known overwatch type area, go 100+ and 1 game after game while the enemies rage in chat
The white skin comment is a real one. I always play as a black guy just because it's so more difficult to spot you if you hide in the shadows lmao
2:37 😂
imagine getting camped as commander by your own troops. I literally loaded in first match and couldn't even call anything in. They waited for me every time
WAIT A FUCKING SECOND. Ive played so many games against you and swore so many fucking times at you and didnt know this was you. Subscribed out of hatred
4:55 Best music every made, good ole coral sea
Oh man I’ll never forget that one time I was playing northern forces and I was in the tunnel helping defend the point with a commander I accidentally TK’d somebody cause they had legit dressed up almost like a black USMC soldier. The full body camo, camoflauge pants, using a Captured weapons. Lol my commander and the guy understand and forgave me.😂
Aww man I need this tier list validate my existence. Much appreciate it.
S+ tier - Mosin Nagant. My favourite weapon in Game and reason I always play North vietnam
You can use claymores as area denial at a cap point you know the way they are intended to be used.
Amazing vid tantwo
thanks man means a lot
I remember picking up an rpg off the floor shooting it at the obj and killing an enemy with the back blast and the rocket
2:26 Those deployable guns are only useful in something like a kill corridor.
Mad lad, loving the content keep it up
thanks bro it means a lot!
Now this is high quality content
As a proud Loach pilot, working with a competent Cobra pilot completely negates the VC teams ability to use tunnels for the entire game.
7:56 yea man, this is the only game that has made me so mad I broke a key board over my knee... I learned self control after forking 50 bucks for a new one but damn, can relate. lmao
If they had added the browning gun characteristics to the door mounted M60’s I think that’d be a better solution.
M2 and DShK should have the ability to reload them while in cover. Maybe make the reload take longer.
But we will never see that
Very well made video, I can see you got inspiration from Martincitopants and youve executed it great. Truly a very underrated shooter also, wish the Devs gave it more development and promotion is perfect mix between Realism and Arcade I find
I love this game, its totally stands out from other. Its bummer voicechat doesn't work anymore.
also, when i was using M79 grenade launcher, i was spotting the enemies first so it would tell me the distance and make it easier to aim
I've always used the claymore defensively when loosing a point, ill leave em behind but try to stay with in radius, wait like 10 secs or 20 then boom, usually I get a kill if I leave em on a recently lost objective
I think stock lowered with the grease gun is better also on the xm1 especially with CQB in point but ive been able to hit 100m with the stock down idk just glad there's ppl talking about there best way of using it
SEA servers are high seas man. glad I've met you once before in a game
Mr ded and heifercakes were the people I used to play with back in the day
they're both great people, I appreciate what they do for the community
@@Tantwo yes if you ever see a guy named the roach say hi
As a broken arrow regular hefi and a few of those other guys are just gods at the game
I play pointman with the Thompson as much as possible, but the M79 still remains my weapon with the most kills. Go figure.
so does anyone even know that turning your collector all the way down when your tail rotor is gone
You can still control the helicopter as long you dont raise the collector and properly get back to base to repair or emergency land without teammates blaming you for their deaths?
My PC fucked up recently, i think i need a new power supply, but the one game I really miss is Rising Storm Vietnam.
It's a shame to hear that 1812 has been delayed for some other franchise that nobody cares about anymore. I would love to see 1812 hit consoles, although ill probably be back on pc soon.
its '83 not 1812
idk why i find it so funny i recognise so many names in the gameplay
This game stopped running on windows7 around mid 2021...I sure do miss playing it..
10:50 six days ago, I started to listen to the song howling and now it's in a video from six days ago :o was going on bro
Heli gunner... yuuuup. Spray and pray. HexDK is a good dude.
always feels good getting a kill cause you never expect it lol, and he sure is
I don't know if this is still a thing (or if it really was a thing, I could just be tripping) but in servers where there are 2 rounds if you change your role while the guy says "swapping sides" you get to see the role select screen just a little bit faster than everyone else. That's how I was always able to get attack helicopter and sniper despite having bad internet and a crappy PC.
