I feel that if Dolphins are gonna play with 3 safeties, its gonna be Holland, Poyer, and Ramsey with Ramsey in the box. Marcus seems like a backup to Poyer when/if he gets injured or when Poyer needs a rest. Cam Smith and Fuller will play outside.
Hopefully, Kohou will only play nickel and won't be shoved outside. So he will be subbed out for Cam. In nickel base sets is where Kohou will predominantly play.
I'd think of more Poyer in the box, he did play some LB last yr. Ramsey to shadow and over the top, some slot, but more outside CB. Poyer more in run support.has he lost a step 🤷♂️?. Darth Kader is not giving up his slot without a fight, good in man-press,not covering other teams #1,was feed to the Lions last year.
I'll be honest, this move feels a bit disappointing, considering some of the remaining talent in FA. Just going to have to trust the front office and coaching staff, as always
They know what they need for their scheme
How much money do you want to spend here versus how much you might want to be able to spend in other areas...
@@alanrodriguez2052 Yep. I don't know their whole plan. Would have been nice to add Simmons though. Who would have been a clear upgrade over Poyer
@@iHUNTdeadThings I get it. Just not sure what other position of need will command the money a guy like Simmons will. He's the best FA on the market
@@Gray_Bush I'm not sure what the cost of Simmons plus available o-line talent would be in combination, but the o-line seems the most like a position that gets addressed with a big chunk of the newly available cap space. I don't know if a combination of these things was ever possible
They appear to be satisfied with the offensive line. I respectfully disagree. But I'm just a fan. I hope they are right.
You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes we just have to wait and see if they go get somebody or have been talking to somebody
@@trentonbates1807 Fair enough, they are the football people. We have to count on them.
This is a solid pickup 🔥🔥
Vamos Gatos, Oilers playin' dirty.
Our Secondary feels old
Do you even know the Dolphins secondary?...For you to say that, hell no
@@startpupsinc9758 do I know the Dolphins secondary? lol ya buddy I know who they are and their age and how long theyve been in the league. Strange comment bub. Poyer is 33, Fuller and Ramsey will join the 30 club this year.Maye is 31.
We’ll see if the draft and UDFA can deliver 1 or 2 deep & developmental backups. The CBs could be ok. Didn’t hear too much about Smith from mini-camp that made me feel comfortable but I think Kohu in the slot works. Not bad - and at that point, the age gets a BIT better across the board.
Why sign Maye instead of pursuing Justin Simmons??? Grier needs to STOP signing AND drafting injury prone players! BTW, Simmons is still available Grier!!!
$
Chris Greer likes signing injury prone players I don't get it
what a stupid take is that?
@@Kandidat1999 I've been in Miami Dolphins fan since 1984 I think I know a little bit about the team. Ever since Greir's been in there he has a history of bringing in entry prone people they can't seem to stay on the field all the time.
Bro I was thinking the same thing
@adamoutdoorbushcraft8164 the good thing about signing players with a couple recent injuries is the price. It's necessary to take a handful of these risks. I also believe 2/3rds of the NFL fit the category of injury prone these days.
Also, I've been watching the fins since as long as I can remember as well. That doesn't earn anything.
@@iHUNTdeadThingsI think that’s a balanced take. Getting an impactful player with no history of injuries is both tough and expensive - mostly because there aren’t many of those guys beyond the age of 26.
So Kyle tell me how many of Griers discount players have developed into a solid starter. All I see is a GM filling holes and fielding a team. How can Grier be taken seriously?
Deshon Elliot was a discount player and he turned out to be our most consistent Safety last season
Where is Deshon Elliot now?
@@richardkeys5214 in Pittsburgh where he’s gonna earn $6M over the next 2 years. Unless you forgot, we literally had 0 cap until last week.
Seams like Grier has trouble keeping productive players.
So if he was that good why did Grier let him walk?
