Yeah I'd say it's pretty good at both, but not perfect. On the other hand it is one of the cheapest octave pedals out there, so for the money you get something really fun.
Cool, I was thinking about getting an octave pedal to play 4 octaves instead of a 24, 27fret guitar....just have to figure out the repeat fingering and when to turn on the high octave...thx!😊
Does it do "Polyphonic" like the BOSS OC-3 / OC5 ? i.e. on a guitar, can we set the Mooer Octaver to pick only the low E and A strings to sound even lower? (Not interested in octaves in unison).
Thanks! If you want more precise tracking, then before distortion. But putting distorted sounds to octave pedal might also produce interesting results :)
Thank you for your video. Can you help me?A question Is: Is there a possibiliry to get a fifth tone instead of Octave? I have a mixer with that ootion and i like to use IT sometimes. But the pedal option would be easier to use. Thank you, and enjoy your guitar :)
Sorry for slow reply. The one I had didn’t seem to have any issues. Have you tried with a different power supply? Sometimes some pedals and power supplies just don’t want to work together?
It's been a while since I had the pedal, but I remember with full "wet" setting it being a bit too much to use it as a bass guitar. I didn't try it for long enough though to see if I could get used to it.
I would usually put those at the very beginning. This way your adding an octave effect to a more "dry" sound and it usually makes the octave pedal track better. You can also get some crazy and fun results by putting an octave pedal as one of last pedals in the chain.
Might be the pedal or could be the crappy electricity I had at the time. I've since switched to better power supply and done some tweaks in the room to address this.
I play for our church and i got some good ideas. Thanks!
"who needs a bass player anyway" proceeds to play bass like a guitarist
My guess is sarcasm isn't your strong suit...
@@CatPickStudios no I just think it's funny
Haha great!
I’m a bassist and almost started crying.
I really like octave pedals but it's hard to find one that A: tracks well and B: that doesn't souund polyphonic. This pedal is pretty good at both.

Tc electronic sub n up is good for this, you have a wide range of sounds to choose from and it tracks well.
I found lovely this video. Tbanks from Valdemorillo, near Madrid, in Spain
Thanks for the demo. I've been trying to find a video showing the octave used as a subtle effect. Nice job.
Thank you!
you did a great job but i wish we had heard the delayed bass

Have you ever tried the boss overtone pedal?? I love it into a high gain driven amp, amazing video Vlad as always love everything you do!!
Thanks Riley! I actually have no knowledge of that pedal, sounds interesting. Need to find out!
haha loved the toggle switch joke!!
Haha thanks Ben!
All I wanted to know was whether I could get a bass sound of these pedals and hard to find so thanks mate. Can you also get a 12 string sound?
No 12 string sound unfortunately. You'd need a polyphonic octaver for that so it does all 6 strings at the same time.
Dude, where are you from? Слышу прям русский акцент во все поля.
Finland, though I do have some Russian roots :)
That joke deserved a like
Haha thanks!
Nice sounds!
Thanks!

The Mooer octaver here doesn't do stuff like that unfortunately.
@@CatPickStudios Thanks for replying 👍👍
Check out Ammoon Octa it will blow your mind soooo much fun
Great! It should be after or before the distortion?
Thanks! If you want more precise tracking, then before distortion. But putting distorted sounds to octave pedal might also produce interesting results :)
@@CatPickStudios Thank u very much! I'll try :)

You'd need a harmony pedal I think
@@jason.h thank you!
Is yours extremely noisy at all times within the chain? Mine doesn’t seem to be true bypass :/

Hi nice tone. Apart from the octave what delay do you use on this record? Thanks
Thanks! I think at this time I was using a NUX Atlantic Delay/Reverb.
Ilike the fat joke and a helpful way to remember it.
How bad is the latency when you try it as a bass guitar?
It's been a while since I had the pedal, but I remember with full "wet" setting it being a bit too much to use it as a bass guitar. I didn't try it for long enough though to see if I could get used to it.
Hey Vlad what is your opinion on the fender Nashville telecaster?? If you have tried one
Haven't tried one but they sure look similar to my own tele pickup wise ;D
In what order do octave pedals fit in a pedalboard?
I would usually put those at the very beginning. This way your adding an octave effect to a more "dry" sound and it usually makes the octave pedal track better. You can also get some crazy and fun results by putting an octave pedal as one of last pedals in the chain.
The pedal noisy or is that just me?!
