Although you didn’t get the shots you really wanted I enjoyed your day out on the Island taking pictures. it is just good to get out into nature. Re the Kestrel, I am very lucky to have a very accommodating Kestrel on my local Reserve. It will fly to within 8 ft of you completely unbothered.

Love your videos and the results! You seem to live in a beautiful place and find some great locations. The shots on this video given the conditions are really good and your laid back relaxed style of presentation makes it a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my Richard, I love all of your shots as always but I'm surprised to be saying this as I'm not a massive b&w fan BUT those slow water shots are divine!! I can't believe how good the built In ND filters work, WOW!!!

Thanks so much Susie. Yes the live ND works really well and is really fun to play with. I usually use it handheld so no extra tripod or filters needed so it’s super convenient! 🙏👌👍

I feel your pain Richard! I had LiveND and HHHR mapped to the front function buttons, which as it turns out are the buttons most liable to be pressed when I scramble to pull my camera out to capture a never-to-be-repeated candid moment out with the family! After watching this, I have finally moved all those special modes to the My Menu. No more function buttons for those for me…

Thanks so much Friend. Yes I moved around my button settings after that. It has happened too many times…sometimes we are almost handicapped by how much the camera can do…when all we want to do is press the shutter and capture the shot 🙏👍

I have done just the same, Richard, set Live ND to Exposure Compensation forgot and made a mess of the shot I was trying to get. I think my menu is definitely the way to go, bird photography can prove to be very difficult with chance encounters as I rarely have time to adjust much from the standard settings I have on C1 and C2.

What I like about your videos is that they come across as a regular bloke out with his camera and enjoying just that, I think sometimes you might be a bit too critical of yourself, you always have a great set of images included in your videos and for just messing around, the b&w shots are fabulous, I would be happy to print and frame them, I am of the opinion if the shot gives me pleasure for whatever reason it’s a good shot. I shoot Olympus OM-1 and hav3 been watching your videos since you got yours around the same time as me.
