I cried a lot during this movie and that is very rare for me. In this scene, I cried when Stephen was dreaming about picking up the pen for the girl, when Stephen looked at Brian and when everyone clapped for Stephen. This was a truly wonderful movie.

Getting inspired by hawking's life and after several months seeing him on his deathbed makes me feel the randomness of universe.... i am 17 years in 2022.
I believe in God and I respect those who don't believe in God, often more than those who believe. Maybe because I see how easy it is to forget the light when you are sitting under it and live granted like it is a routine and pretend and defend your lack of inquisition as your faith and obedience. I admire those who try to find the evidence of the God in the concrete facts as opposed to those who say is a wrong approach. Well, I think those believers take such position of definition because they have conventional assumptions that the Abstract one can't be found through the observation and analysis of the concrete world, and they even don't give a min or two to ever consider why the One who gave this world must not have anything of Him in it to be found? Maybe because I see how easy it is to forget the light when you are sitting under it and live granted like it is a routine and pretend and defend your lack of inquisition as your faith and obedience. I admire those who try to find the evidence of the God in the concrete facts as opposed to those who say is a wrong approach. Well, I think those believers take such position of definition because they have conventional assumptions that the Abstract one can't be found through the observation and analysis of the concrete world, and they even don't give a min or two to ever consider why the One who gave this world must not have anything of Him in it to be found? Like an artist whose trace is found in the ingenuity of his work.

I will say that you have to understand that hope is weak but faith in one thing, faith in something, no matter what it is or will be, is always strong enough to make you exceed what is expected of you. Well, the timing lines up. This lecture is in the mid to late sixties, yeah? That would put Carl in his thirties, well into his scientific career. And there is evidence to say that they were aware of one another's work.
I also thought it was interesting how they focused on that actor so intently, as if it were a deliberate nod to his importance in some way.
