It is astounding to me that he actually LOOKS and SOUNDS exactly like Spongebob. Even down to the little gap in his front teeth. Edit: I meant he looks like what a human SpongeBob would maybe look like. I know he's NOT I'm just saying Ethan Slater totally paid tribute to the original and Tom's influence while also making it unique and his own. You can tell he absolutely had so much fun and completely embodied the role and character. He is such a sweetheart and a pleasure to watch when he's performing. 💕 Those who have something negative to say....you need a hug. 🤗
I simply cannot unhear Panic at the disco vibes in this song and I love it. This is one of my favorite songs of the musical and I really love how Spongebob is portrayed here. Also, I love Ethan's voice and acting skills ❤️
I just watched this musical on Paramount+ today. I was blown away. The story was great, the songs were catchy, and I loved the costumes. Also, Ethan Slater KILLED it as SpongeBob, his joyful energy was infectious.

It amazes me how much talent there is in this musical. Just like, well almost everyone else, I was skeptical about this musical. But I genuinely think everything about it is amazing. From the music, to the acting, props, costume design. It all just... Goes together incredibly well. It was a much better experience than I expected.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie kind of *is* the grand finale of the series. Anything that comes before or after the movie all leads up to that point in the SpongeBob SquarePants canon.
Love Ethan, he is so talented, but the musical director is amazing. Loved watching her as well during the show! Going to see the show again in August and hope to meet her.
