Love the updated trick tutorials. This was very clear and comprehensive. Would be nice to have tips for McNasty on a wave. I threw my first handpaddle McNastys last summer at Barking Dog. But this year, California is all waves and big water, no holes.
Hey Nick, followed you for a bit but its my first fully year in a playboat and already working on a front loop. I want to get my 8' Wavesport creeker into some bigger rapids and need some technique advice. Let me know if there's a good video or read out there. I'm looking for some pros in the DC but mostly just go out with a buddy of mine (same exp level).
My mixmaster won’t do this. Not enough pop to loop yet the old 15 year old G Force could do it. (loops, anyway). And the mixmaster is a new boat. I don’t get it. I’m old school and certainly not buying a new school box boat. So what gives?
Well the slicey boats arent meant to 'pop' they are meant to slice for max ease on cartwheels, splats, squirts etc. What you call the new 'Box" boats have more volume and are designed to 'pop' out of the water more and made to do the aerial tricks.
@@powskier , volume & shape, the g-force is a completely different boat than a mixmaster designed for different things, a squirt boat probably will not loop for you either because it is not designed to do it. The g-force was made to pop out of the water not slice and squirt through it. If you are old school you will probably be able to see the difference between a g-force and a xxx, different boats designed for different tricks. There is a reason they make the mixmaster and the rockstar, one is not replacing the other simply because it is newer.

Wow this helped a lot
Thanks, I'm glad it helped.
Thanks nick!!!
Glad that it helps
Can you do a video on tips to do a stern squirt in an eddy in the Antix??
Can you do this on a wave?
Could you maybe go into a bit more depth on how to get your stern far enough up in the feature to initiate the trick?

Yet my old 17 year old G-force could loop. Explain that.
