I'm interested in ideas for whitewater boat rescue. Everyone focuses on saving the paddler (of course), but I feel like I am most at risk trying to save a waterlogged boat. Some ideas, or even some tips to not do, would be helpful. For example when I first started kayaking I got out of my boat and then swam for his, with my rope in my hand (it all made sense in my head at the time) I got tangled in the rope, and was so tired when I got to the boat that I couldn't do anything with it anyway, so don't do that!

i always found it to be important to know wether i want to stomp a boof before going over a drop, since i do a different type of body motion at the lip.
    .
if i plan to stomp it, i'm starting the with a ~20% angle right from the lip with my body weight a bit more forward, where the bow is only up because of my very closed body position.
which is different to a full on boof where my bow is up with me being in an upright "standard" position.
so i personally find it hard/next to impossible to stomp a boof if i pulled off the lip so hard that my bow is up with my body being upright as well. i personally need to boof with my body in the front to get the stomp going, otherwise my weight is not above my feet when stomping and i only land on the back.
    .
i think you might be doing it the same way. looking at your boof at 0:14 in the yellow boat, you do as well start with a good angle early on, as opposed to throwing the bow up in a full on (over)boof manner. (seems even to be the same for the following shot in the blue nirvana. the weight is a bit more in the front and the boof comes mostly from the stroke + pulling your knees, and not as much from moving your torso back and forth) - correct me if i'm wrong.

I agree it is almost impossible to get the bow down once it's above your waist line, though I would never boof that hard on anything I might consider stomping anyways.... but yes, I agree.
