  • I finally leave Egypt. With my Dutch friend Roger, we go from Aswan to the border by bus, and then we cycle from the border to the first city in Sudan, Wadi Halfa, where we randomly meet some French friends we met in Aswan.

    Dear Ives,I can not express my gratitude for sharing your adventures with us. I am half sudanese and when I got the chance to travel to sudan with my mother she had a severe mental episode from the huge change , she is bipolar and In the days in my second home I was not able to explore and I was very close to travel by bus and then by sea since we had troubles boarding her on planes withought being completely curred. Now with the war situation I think I might never have the opportunity to visit the land of my ancestors , and I will always visit your sudans videos to get a dose of a place I always called home .
    May you have safe travels always.

    HELLO Mr. Yves. 18 years ago I visited Sudan (Catholic Missionary). One of the Sahel countries, Sudan is located in the Sahara desert. I noticed the Sudanese are stoic people and private about their emotions. There is a dominant cultural norm that expects individuals to hide when they are in pain or struggling. Resilience, self- restraint and physical courage are admired !!!! God bless you while visiting Sudan! Very nice people, very friendly!

    Before the High Dam was built, the Nile flood used to come and destroy cities and villages in Egypt and kill people. And destroys agricultural crops, a dam had to be built. In fact, the Nubians were compensated and given larger lands and houses than in Wadi Halfa.

    • @KinoYves
      @KinoYves  Год назад +3

      Not true, you need the Nile flood for the Nile valley to be fertile, without it, agriculture is much more complicated.
      Though, of course, for modern life (electricity), it is true that still having the Nile flood would make life much more complicated.
      And I met Nubians in Egypt, and no, many were given unusable land in the middle of the desert.

    • @n.a.a9054
      @n.a.a9054 Год назад +5

      @@KinoYves Before the dam was built, the agricultural season was restricted until the time of the flood, and lands in Egypt were cultivated once a year. Now that the dam is built, the flood water behind the dam is stored in Lake Nasser, and the water is regularly passed to Egypt, so agriculture is flourishing throughout the year, and the most important thing is that people do not die. From the flood, I know that you faced many problems in Egypt from the police and fraud in tourist places, but I hope this does not make you biased against the Egyptian people.

      Dear Sudan, try to stop spreading rumors about Egypt, and you are not a person from the Nuba region, because the Nubians have been moved from Egypt to within the borders of Egypt as well. Do not try to spread rumors and imagine to the world that the Nubians have been deported to Sudan

    • @nubia2408
      @nubia2408 Год назад

      Completely false claim, thy were forced to move from Wadi Halfa, they didn't agree to move to Khashm Algirba, the dam was built only for electricity and irrigation, their was no need for it to stop the flooding which is a complete lie, and the electricity deal between Sudan and Egypt was not respected, Sudan didn't get even 1 kW of electricity from the deal with Egypt, but that is the culture of Egypt to brake every promise they give we are used to it. You see my RUclips nickname, it's not by coincidence I'm a Sudanese Nubian and I know my history and I stay guard when an Egyptian comes and claims lies, we have had enough of you and your fraud facts!

      Thank you Jeff ! Hope that they will like the channel.
      And I already have French subtitles available.
      I think that this video is about 3 months behind, because I had to delay the Egyptian videos because of my issues with the police, and in Sudan, the internet was extremely slow, so it was almost impossible to do any serious work online.
      Usually, I try to have only 1 month difference, maximum 2 months, but for this part of the trip, it was impossible to keep such a short gap. After Sudan, I will try to reduce this gap back to 1 or 2 months.

    The pyramids of Egypt are 5,000 years old, while the pyramids of Sudan are 2,600 years old The pyramids of Sudan were built in the era of Tarhaqa The era of the twenty-fifth dynasty near the end of the family era In other words, the Pharaonic eras, and the age of the pyramids is determined by examining them by radiocarbon analysis The pyramids of Sudan differ from the pyramids of Egypt in terms of size because the pyramids of Sudan are very small, and there are no wall writings no burial chambers or secret rooms The pyramids of Sudan are just a blind imitation of the Egyptian pyramids

    Are there really more pyramids in Sudan than in Egypt? There are about 120 pyramids in Sudan. If you look at the king pyramids in Egypt, you can count up to 21 that are still quite well preserved (Giza 3, Abusir 3, Saqqara 6, Dahshur 4, Lisht 2, Medum 1, Illahun 1, Hawara 1). But the 120 in Sudan also include pyramids that are not very well preserved and many pyramids built by queens and princes. If you add the queens and cult pyramids, as well as the unfinished or destroyed pyramids in Egypt, you get a similar number (the pyramid complex of Pepi I alone has 9 queens and cult pyramids). The Sudanese pyramids are also quite small. The height is between 6 and 30 meters, in Egypt hights are between 45 and 146 m, so the sudanese pyramids are often even smaller than the queens or cult pyramids in Egypt.
    However, what is certain is that in Napata and Meroe there is less harassment than in Giza or Saqqara.

    • @KinoYves

      It's just that in terms of numbers, there are more pyramids in Sudan, but as you say, many are not well preserved, if not almost completely destroyed. And of course, the Egyptian pyramids are incomparable in terms of size.

    All the pyramids are located in Sudan on the Egyptian border, this is evidence they are Egyptian pyramids, which are very new pyramids and small pyramids compared to the pyramids of Egypt.

      The Egyptian pyramids are the oldest on earth The age of the Egyptian pyramids is 5,000 thousand years. The age of the pyramids of Sudan is only 2,600 years The age of the pyramids is determined by examining them by radiocarbon analysis, not according to your desire Note that the pyramids of Sudan are a blind imitation of the Egyptian pyramid And the person who created the pyramids of Sudan is King Tarhaqa after he entered Egypt and was dazzled by the ancient and giant Egyptian pyramids and loved to imitate them And Egypt had more than a thousand pyramids until the medieval era. Sultan Salahuddin dismantled more than 900 pyramids in order to establish Salahuddin Castle with the stones of the pyramids Now Egypt has more than 100 pyramids only but they are large and giant pyramids. As for the pyramids of Sudan, they are very small and there are no writings for the walls of the pyramids There are no secret rooms or burial chambers The pyramids of Sudan are tiny and very modern resembling triangles of cheese
