You could have used those guide curves for doing the loft. Would have saved time from drawing a lot of 2d sketches, plus you'd get a more accurate profile, e.g. the nose cone.
I have a set of dimensions I need to work according to in order to make a model of the aircraft as I have to simulate it in Ansys. how would I be able to determine the aircraft dimensions while using this technique ?

Just use the dimensions you have instead of the ones I use.
