I am a proud owner of Proton Saga BLM aged 14 yrs old. Regardless of any car that you owned.. I'm of the opinion that our handling behaviour like regular services, safe driving attitude etc will be the most crucial factors of each & every vehicle's lifetime. I drove Iswara before & lasted about 11 years b4 changing my car to Saga BLM till now..& I don't seem to face any major problem with my Proton car.😊

From how its looked and lacklustre design for some people out there, i still love the interior design of this segmen B car. Proton's handling as we know that, superb in its class 👍 Fuel consumption is surely way better than Old Persona. Haters gonna hate but its very affordable one. Who cares.

@@asmidajirasalim2337 hi, i don't have an absolute answer for this question as it kinda depends because i don't drive this car as often. My city is also quite a small city, the distance to the places i wanna go is not that far. Sometimes RM200 is enough for a month, sometimes RM300.
I’ve gotten my car since last Nov, experienced a lot of squeaky noise in dashboard and backseats since then, dashboard plastic are also easily scratchable
I'm facing the same issues as well. Got it fixed at the service center but squeeky noises still do come back whenever i drive on rough roads especially the dashboard. The back seat is resolved though.
i love how the car be designed, yes even some people really dont like it. i dont know. for me, it is worth for money if you are looking for the car which is below 60k that can provide all of you need, such as good handling, reliable or even the engine performance. forget about top brand from japan because this is literally a good choice.

I had the persona for almost 2 years now. Decided to get the exec utive instead mostly because of the infotainment system. The lag/delay is just awful. Will be changing them so might as well get the one without voice controls.

Yes interms of space, this is not the most spacious car in this segment. But i guess it’s pretty decent for the price and comfort although not as spacious as the Honda City.
got my persona premium back in february and i gotta say i do agree with some of the problems u face with ur car as i do encounter similiar problems with urs. also there’s one additional problem with my infotainment system where it glitches and suddenly skips or rewinds the songs im playing through my phone when connected to bt. it’s so annoying🤣

Also would like to know if you are still facing that problem where your infotainment system glitches? best to get it checked out and see what proton has to say. Coz i don't experience that problem. Anyway hope you enjoy driving your car even though it has some cons.
@@SaaSReviewsInterviews I dont really know if the warranty covers for the infotainment system. However it’s not like the infotainment is faulty or not working at all. It’s just slow i assume due insufficient RAM on this system. So even if we replace it with a new unit it’s gonna be the same unless there is an aftermarket device which has better specs and able to support the “Hi Proton” feature.
The product data sheet claims the fuel efficiency is range 6.6l/100km to 8.1l/100km (I assume that is city drive). I am a female driver, which I think I don't drive so rough. Is it normal to have 8.5litres (or more) / 100km ( in my first 200km driving in Puchong and PJ) ??
I feel like most of the problems you face are for any car. Aircon is usually the filter needs cleaning, the wipers will always skip if they are not cleaned or rubber not replaced.
interms of wipers and aircon yes it is probably common. But issues relating to infotainment system, reverse camera, side mirrors etc i feel is not something that most cars experience.

Kereta saya ada masalah semenjak seminggu keluar: 1) Warna hitam pada butang eco saya terkopek tanpa sebab? 2) Cermin sisi kiri tak boleh lipat. 3) Radio tiba2 kuat selepas beberapa saat hidupkan enjin. 4) Steering akan berat ke sebelah kiri semasa memandu. 5) Seat belakang berbunyi mcm kereta lama. Adalah tanggungjawab proton untuk memastikan produk mereka dijamin quality. Bunyi seat belakang kalau tak silap saya ada org share dulu mcm ada kena mengena dgn pintu blakang. And pasal side mirror yg tak dpt lipat tu ada orang share dlm comment cakap benda tu berlaku sebab ada org terlanggar side mirror sampai motor dlm tu lari sikit alignment jd tak boleh lipat. Solusi yang dikongsikan haritu ialah cuba lipat side mirror secara manual. Lepas itu cuba power fold mcm biasa. Saya tak brani lipat manual takut rosak. Apa yang saya buat hari tu saya tekan lock and unlock kat remote byk kali lepas tu tiba2 boleh lipat dah. Pasal radio and steering wheel itu bro harus ke service centre untuk check. I am also not sure how to fix that sound but i read someone say that sound actually comes from the backdoor because the hinge is loose so you need to adjust the door hinge something like that. Honestly i am not sure but you can go to the service centre and have them check on the door hinge.

Dear @veror Reviews someting as per my current budget I can chosee between Bezza/Myvi/Saga/Persona . I shotlisted persona on the ease of early deliverable . My current concern or dilemma is on fuel consumption . For a AVG driver like me not a speed driver can i atleast acheive 100km per 7 L ?
It’s hard to tell because everyone has their own driving style. But technically Yes, if you are a chill driver driving less than 100km and you do not face alot of traffic jams then yes 7L / 100km is achievable. Plus the persona also has an eco mode which can help you to get lower fuel consumption. With eco mode you will definitely achieve that.
You keep on mentioned laggy but what is the feedback from Proton ? and the most important is how to fix these problem ? From what I see there is something wrong with your car power supply system. All these problem is related with your power supply.
I am not the only one experiencing this problem seems like other persona users experience this as well. I dont think it’s the power supply but rather the RAM of the infotainment system. Proton never released the infotainment specifications but i think that the device itself is running on low ram.
got mine in june last year, so far no issue, except for some rattling parts in the car when driving on uneven road, and the worst is my handbrake lever. for fuel consumption, not great, but ok la, as it is 1600cc and quite heavy car, and using old tech engine. headrest for backseat passenger? hurmmm.. i hope its not that small btw, i managed to install waze & gmaps on its HU, so no need to depend on my phone anymore while driving my only fear for this car is proton SC itself, and some of them are not competent enough to handle & repair their own products. example? some of them still using tap water to refill coolant, and once your radiator got rusty, they will ask u to repair it outside. lol
@@Aaron-zo7iv hi bro , the gmaps and waze are from my phone. Basically what you are seeing on the infotainment screen is a mirror image of the apps that are on my phone. Unfortunately you are unable to install waze or gmaps on the infotainment system itself.

Ok, what i can say is, if you are the type that don't drive over 100kmph, and don't often get stuck in jams, i think you can easily average around 6.0 - 6.5L / 100km, especially if you are on eco mode. But if you are not on eco mode i can say usually it's around 7.0L / 100km. I'll be real honest, when talking about fuel efficiency, persona is just okay. Not great, not that bad either. But don't expect ativa or honda city numbers. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the recommendation but i am not sure how to reset it. Plus it is connected to the window and AC unit i am afraid to mess with it. Should probably get the service centre to do it i guess.
For the side mirror, it does happen to my car that it doesn't fold if someone accidentally knock on it but not hard enough to make the mirror to fold. What I do to is just close the side mirror manually and opens it back. Then, it is working again. In this case, just a connection issue. That's just me not sure if urs is just this minor issue or really a motor issue.

Technically it should be smooth like when you first got it. But of course it is not recommended unless you know what you are doing. Resetting the system might potentially cause other problems the proton infotainment system is connected to many things such as the aircond, power window, Hi Proton system etc.
I have gotten my persona premium last November. Within four months already replaced infotainment set three times, now waiting to replace the fourth infotainment set. Any one facing this problem. Where to complain but not from proton apps they never respon First set 14 days problem already Second set.. 10 days Third set 2hours How terrible the proton products

So far dah setahun lebih drive takde masalah dengan gearbox. Tapi tak tau la experience orang lain mcm mane. Tp my unit ok. Semua ok.
Maybe you can reset the system on your infotainment system like some other European cars, it could be just like when it's new and smooth

If reset your infotainment system will become more smooth??
Technically it should be smooth like when you first got it. But of course it is not recommended unless you know what you are doing. Resetting the system might potentially cause other problems the proton infotainment system is connected to many things such as the aircond, power window, Hi Proton system etc.
The infotainment need a bigger ram to do multitasking job

Kalau bab minyak, biasa2 je. Tak lah jimat sangat. And tak juga kuat makan minyak. Honda city and Toyota Vios lagi jauh jimat kalau bab jimat minyak.
Hahaha.... You have to spray clean the filter in the glove compartment..... Must be full with dust. 😆

Had the same issue, after cleaning the cabin filter, the air flow is stronger. Replace new filter, aircond felt like new.
