It can't. We have many requirements for safety features like lane keep, backup cams, and crash avoidance. There are also heavy taxes on import trucks and despite it being smaller and more fuel efficient, it being smaller means it needs to be even more so efficient which it isn't. I beleave there are also regulations preventing vehicle weighing too little from having to high of a cargo capacity.(think the one ton kie trucks vs the normal one ton we get that weighs 7k pounds or more

If it is released with a manual transmission, I will own one. So will several people I know who, like me, are sick of bells, whistles and "helpful" technology being forced on us. (Also will need left hand drive and gasoline option for the US market.)
