After preparing the chicken for frying, my wife let's them "rest" for about 10 -15 minutes in the refrigerator; you'll be pleasantly surprised. It really makes a difference ! She does the same when preparing schnitzel cordon Bleu.
@@gaichinger78correct, it helps the breadcrumbs to stick to the chicken and even better tip is you can put it in the freezer too and it sticks just that little bit more. Just don't forget them in there!
It's crazy how similar the seasoning blend you used is to mine. When I make them, I do use salt, pepper, and bread crumbs, but I also use flour, onion powder, paprika, and most recently Nashville Hot Chicken seasoning. Just a few chunks broken up by hand.
I should mention that the first time I made them and used paprika, I made the mistake of putting all of them in the air fryer all at once. This time however, I put only three in at a time.
I really need to try this at some point. I saw another recipe like this, where the guy did a comparison of different coatings, oddly enough he said the cornflakes one was the best.
I always break eggs one at a time in a small bowl, before I add to the mixing bowl or whatever utensil when I'm cooking or baking. . In that way, if an egg happens to be rotten , all the eggs won't be wasted. Thanks for a great recipe. Tried it this morning. AWESOME
my go to dips for anything fried are honey mustard (mix mayo, yogurt, mustard and honey), tabasco mayo (way better than sriracha mayo imo) and thai sweet chilly. honorable mention: alioli, ranch, bbq, heinz curry mango, greek zaziki and cocktail
I was getting ready to use a McCormick's air fry packet of seasoning but after watching this video, guess how I'm going to make them now? Thank you for sharing!
I don't understand why preheat. I mean I know why but when you slide out the basket all the hot air goes out so it's not the same temp when you put the chicken in.
I have frozen chicken tenders I purchased from Schwan’s. The only directions they give you is for the oven. What temperature would I use with my air fryer.
Just tried these. They were tasty and juicy but when I went to flip them over, part of the breadcrumb/panko covering stuck to the basket. So some of them were missing some topping. I used my Ninja flip oven. Maybe that doesn't work as well as a regular air fryer? idk But I would think that the air fry option would work fine. Maybe I should have sprayed the basket beforehand. ???
@@cookingwithcoit Thank you! I was just looking what temperature to put on, and how long to cook them. I just egg and bread them with Vigo Italian Style bread crumbs, then spray them with the olive oil spray!👍 And, boy! Did they turned out great in the air fryer toaster oven!👍 I'm not going back frying them in a pan with oil...Thanks again! 😊
Hi- I post the full recipe and ingredients on my website, the link is always in the description. The reason why I do it that way is if the recipe needs to change in the future I don’t have to remember to change it on every social media platform. It’s always in one place. Hope you love this recipe!
What happened to my reply? I have an air fryer toaster oven that works with the same temperature of 400, and the same time 5 minutes of each side. You would think it was fried in oil. It turned out juicy, tender, and delicious! 😋
Pro Tip: Dredge tenders in to egg mixture, then dredge in to flour, then dredge again back in to egg mixture, then dredge in to Panko, shake off excess, let rest a little to allow Panko to soften a bit, cook
Can someone please tell me how to get the strips to look browned and be more crispy? I’m following instructions to a “T”, including having the same Cosori air fryer. They taste good, but appearance is lacking? HELP!🙁
Great recipe but I have a question... I just watched one of your recent videos (you are making fajitas) where you say you never preheat your air fryer, but in this video you are. Now I'm confused. Can you elaborate? Thanks so much!!
My experience is that the air fryer does a better job at making food crispy because the convection fan moves the air around so fast. Faster than a typical oven.

She does the same when preparing schnitzel cordon Bleu.
I do that !! for some reason the taste becomes better when the chicken cools down a bit...
Interesting….I’ll try that today
I am assuming you mean she put them in the fridge BEFORE cooking them, correct?

The guy is so cute with his request to turn around while he is cracking eggs!
I made these with my granddaughters. Too much fun and they were proud of themselves.
Followed this mostly and was surprised by how good they were. Didn't miss the oil at all!
Yeah it’s crazy right!?! The air fryer is really great for recipes like this. Thanks for watching!
@@cookingwithcoit so the total time would be 10 min 5 for each side?
@@asaeed86 yes that's exactly what he did in the video
I take a box of stove top stuffing and crush it and use that instead of breadcrumbs and it is phenomenal
Thats a good idea. You use the air fryer too? What temp./how long?
That honestly sounds like an amazing idea. Your tradition shall be carried on in this household lol
This is the best cooking show!! Love your cooking, food and timing.

I was getting ready to use a McCormick's air fry packet of seasoning but after watching this video, guess how I'm going to make them now? Thank you for sharing!
I used egg beaters for binder. And some shreded parm cheese in with the panko. Mmm. Buff sauce sticks great
Do you ever use only panko bread crumbs instead of mixing it with regular bread crumbs?
Yes you can definitely do that.
I must try this recipe.
I don't understand why preheat. I mean I know why but when you slide out the basket all the hot air goes out so it's not the same temp when you put the chicken in.
Thank you I will make them tonight for dinner
Is it possible to do this with flour, egg, and then breadcrumbs?
Thank you for this wonderful recipe! I’m going to make them tomorrow night! Thanks again! 🍗
I will be trying these myself. They look lovely
Great to hear!
WHISK NOT STIR!!!!!!!!! YES thank you ANNE! 😁Much appreciate the video, Thank you. Love the camera work!
I love your videos.... So positive & wholesome.
Thanks so much 🙏🏻
I don’t have problems using air fryer. I made egg rolls in air fryer, love it.
We made these tonight and they were amazing. Thanks for the great video!
My pleasure, glad you liked them!
I'll try this.
I’m going to try dredging in potato starch or other gluten free “flour” before the panko
Great tip on the olive oil spray!
Great idea!
dredge (wait 5) then egg wash then panko
thanks for this recipe
Most welcome 😊
I'm making these recipe...thanks for sharing great recipe..

Handy recipe. Thank you. I have the exact same Cosori air fryer as you too so your guide is perfect for my chicken tenders. Great. Thank you.
Glad to hear it!
Why did you preheat when in your other video, you said you never thought it was necessary???
This is because I made this video a long time ago, I have changed my perspective on pre-heating recently.

If your food has skin or a breading always spray just in case 😊
Can you also do it with Shake-n-Bake as the coating?
Yes that should work 👍🏻
@@cookingwithcoit thank you :)
Made them but I feel like mine were a little dry ? So sprayed more oil . Next batch was better . We did deep fry a few too .
Well done!!!! I started w/o you. Usually my spouse dies them! Very helpful! My air fryer is like the one behind ya…. Toaster oven plus

Do you have to use olive oil spray or any oil at all

What if you just can't bring yourself to buy things in spray cans for cooking? I just can't do it.
Yeah that's ok, you can brush on the olive oil too.
I just bought an oil mister from Amazon. I'll use it with my avocado oil.
Love your channel, and WILL be trying this recipe in my new air fryer.
Hi Colt love your recipe , where can
I get the panko crumbs from !
Thanks for your recipe 🌷
Hi- depending on where you live you can buy them from the grocery store.
I got mine from tesco
Grocery store. By the Japanese stuff or by the regular bread crumbs
These were great! Thank you, so simple and delicious with the added bonus of being healthy 😊
I’m so happy to hear that you like this recipe!
Can you coat it in anything else then eggs? I can't eat raw eggs
Yes you can try using olive oil instead or a plant based egg substitute.
Can you share me model of air fryer
Yes I have a cossori
I made these last night!! With some seasoned Air Fryer chips!! Soooooo good :) Thanks for the video. One of my go to recipes now

Hey Bev- did you spray them with olive oil? That helps a lot with browning.
@@cookingwithcoit Hi I only had canola spray on hand and Italian bread crumbs.🤷♀️
Thanks 👍 they look great

Can you freeze these before cooking.
whoo. 2 eggs. that's like a premium meal.
Zabardast very nice 😋 yummy 😋👌💗
Thank you!
How do you make this with a regular oven
I would love to have chicken tenders
The homemade version is delicious!
panko works perfectly but in my opinion crushing corn flakes takes it to the max for ultimate crispiness.
Looks delish!
Thank you!

Hi I just subscribed! The chicken tenders look yummy. 😋Thank you for that

Hi- good catch. The chicken tenders video is quite old and I have changed my mind about preheating my air fryer. Now I don’t do it. Hope this helps!
I want to add Parmesan cheese & black pepper to the breadcrumbs when I make those recipe
Great idea!
Mashallah mashallah ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The breading tends to be really dry from the air fryer. I'll stick to oil lol.
Mmmmm looks delicious
Great! Nice and simple. Thank you:)
So glad you like this recipe! Nice and simple always wins in my opinion.
Why not flour before the egg wash?
