Not for me. They have ripped the charm out of this building, it might as well be a new build apartment. I thought people bought Brownstones for a sense of heritage and style? Its all been taken from this one. A real shame.

😮Not going to lie. This type of OTT salesmanship puts me right off. When I’m viewing properties, I simply need facts without the all-singing, all-dancing affectations. I don’t care how much the agent LOVES the home. Let’s be honest, it’s the commission they love.

    • @stevepotfora7461

The mis-information saying that the townhouse was originally built as multiple apartments, affectations, wrong pronunciations, really make him come off like a fraud. I would guess educated people turn and walk away.

@@stevepotfora7461 Indeed...I wonder what type of buyer buys into all of the fairytales and bluster. Do the owner/sellers really believe this is the best way to sell? It's 😬 cringe....plus all the lies they make up just to catch an impressionable buyer with more 💲💲S than sense.🤷

I agree! All of the fake enthusiasm is not genuine and not believable. I don't even like the renovation. The older original millwork is not a good match with the contemporary fireplace and other fixtures. And why would you have marble in the bathroom and the kitchen? There should be distinction between the who, they should never be decorated similarly.

My guests on the roof deck need to go potty, down 3 floors! the lack of a powder room on the entertaining floor. The office and TV room floor has a 1/2 bath - staying on this level means taking a shower on the pool level. There are too many odd things about the lack of baths! Primary bedroom level has only 1 bathroom - the other bedroom bath option is a powder room one level down and shower to the pool level - since the full bath on that level is another en-suite for the nanny/housekeeper. The pool has to smell of pee!

I thought in was going to look like the Cosby Show house on the inside. 😅 I would love to have seen the before pictures, before all the actual vintage details, were destroyed,. Was the house already abandoned and nobody could save the original charm and character?
Its lovely for a regular 'ol house in a fancy niegherbourhood. It looks like all the ones in Northern Virginia being built enmass. We call em Mc Mansions, they look just like this home on the inside. But cheaper because it's Virginia. Still enjoyed the video, y'all are cute and fun to watch.

NYC shot itself in the foot and ripped out it's soul by tearing down the old wooden houses and Dutch/English colonial architecture in the late 19th century when it underwent an economic boom. The original beauty was lost forever and the sense of community and charm vanished. By the mid 20th century crime rates started to soar while people lived in boxy apartments and houses while the city was choked by automobile traffic. Thankfully Mexico, Canada and Brazil to name but a few didn't make the same mistakes as the US did. You visit the cities in those countries and you would be forgiven for thinking you were in old Europe again with the sense if safety and beautiful and well preserved architecture. Lucky them!!
