- The late Ivana Trump's townhouse in New York has sat on the market for one full year with no takers. Last month, it took a $4 million cut from its original asking price, down to $22.5 million.
The extravagant residence remains virtually untouched since her death in July 2022. In fact, very little has changed since Ivana Trump, former President Donald Trump's first ex-wife, renovated the home in the 1990s.
The six-story, almost 8,800-square-foot townhouse’s interior is “Versailles-flavored” and still decorated with the late Ivana Trump's furnishings, clad in red carpets and red silk-covered walls, and dripping with gold accents and ornate crystal chandeliers.
CNBC’s Ray Parisi gets you an all-access tour with Erickson.

What's your favorite room in the townhouse? I think ours might be the leopard print room 🤔
I hope it’s not really leopard skin.
@@bobbiegentilquore9496 Yes! That room is incredible.
Hmmm! I would consider this a tear down🫤
@@jamielancaster01 You Could Not afford it Chump ! Its a Museum ?
The room with the door to the street.
So basically, the outside looks like a bank and the inside looks like a brothel meets a Jersey City Italian restaurant.
😂😂😂
Hey I love that old luxury jersey brothel style! 😂
And I bet you think signage, sliding doors on tracks and reclaimed hardwood is the height of sophistication. 😂
@@monaonassis6346 No that is a barn
My thoughts exactly 😊
P.S.S. I can see a Middle Eastern billionaire buying Ivana's townhome and not changing a thing ... 😅
probably adding more in it.
Or a Russian oligarch.
@@catemoon Oh, you're one of those who believed the Russia collusion theory if you're still making Russia Russia Russia posts. Your hatred for the Trumps are getting old especially when you accuse them of things that the people you support do.
The house is a little too much for my liking but the library is fabulous!♥️
I agree
Looks like an enormous jewelry box.
🤣🤣
It’s called TDS Envy
It’s like an old saloon and Christmas all the time.
You probably shop at IKEA 😂
Wallpaper reminds me of a cheap steakhouse chain of the late 1960s.
@@monaonassis6346Precisely. I abhor IKEA. I see nothing wrong with the aesthetic in this home.
Looks more like a brothel.
I love that 22.5 million dollar window AC unit!!! 😂🤣😭🤙🏼
If it’s the AC I saw to the right on the first floor it’s not in her house.
Does it matter? It’s still there. A window unit… 22 million dollars. But way to go! 🤙🏼

I agree, If I am going ot pay that kind of money its has to come with something.
@@Mythoughtonpoliticaltopics well, it comes with something: "Anastasia Romanov starring as Satine in Moulin Rouge: The Bollywood Musical" vibes. I'm just sayin'...
😂😂😂😂
It reminds me of Buckingham Palace (but a lot smaller), and whilst it's not my taste I can appreciate it and see that a lit of love has been given to it 😊
The ultimate in tacky decor.
Ivana comes from Czech republic which was part of Austrian/ German monarchy with a lot of castles full of antic furniture, crystal chandeleuers, marble floors, and she probably wanted something similar at her home.
That doesn't matter. Czechia indeed, like Austria and Bavaria is rich in the South German tradition of design. But that means restraint and geometric design not rocaille insanity. From Modernism and Functionalism in the 1920s to 1980s, to Secession Art Nouveau in the 1890s-1910s, to Neo-Renaissance from the 1860s-1890s to Biedermeier in the 1820s-1840s. The interior here is incredibly over the top, especially to Czechs, like it is trying to cram the entire National Theatre and State Opera into a walkup. Even in the 1980s and 1990s this would be considered gaudy, oppressive and ugly.
Ivana's taste was simply incredibly Nouveau riche and paired well with her Husbands. But this is in no way considered classy by anyone, except maybe the Russian oligarch mafioso types. The fact that she had the place wall to wall carpeted instead of using parquet, just makes this house look like a Vegas Hotel that's trying too had.
Considering the sets of the Nanny are from the same era, this house just screams poor taste.
De gustibus non est disputandum
Exactly
What dod she do to get it😂
Nope!. Slovenia 😉😉😉
Someone could turn it into a casino. The decorations are perfect.
You should have seen the restaurant she decorated in Trump's Atlantic City casino. Purple, black, and gold bad taste.
@@janewasson4845 It's Atlantic City! I'm sure it was fine.
It looks like it was decorated by Liberace.😂😂
Eastern European "taste". 😳
Which is an insult to Liberace
@@eily_b No, more Middle Eastern
I just said the same thing to my husband 🤣🤣🤣
Peggy Bundy would love the leopard print room.
Everyone has their own individuality. Good for her. ❤
Exactly at that level of money you can do what you want
I liked Ivana. She loved her home. That’s important. I’d love to have the home and change it to my own preference.
She was one tacky beyotch and married someone even tackier.
It’s too dark and dreary in there. They shouldn’t have to have all the lights on in the middle of the day.
Keep in mind. It's a townhouse, so there are no windows on the sides. Only the front and back.
To me, it absolutely stunning and delights my heart, I am drawn to mid century baroque, for some reason.
It's a beautiful home for someone who loves period dramas and royal life
Like a cross between a Lautrec Bordello and the Plaza Hotel! 😮
I was thinking the same thing. The entrance reminds me of the painting, The salon at the Rue Des Moulins
I'd leave it as it is. A tribute to Ivana, bless her.
Who would spend $22.5 million to live in a museum? people have different tastes
I just said the same thing
Pay your respects to you beloved Ivana. Trump buried her in his golf course. You can tee off on her gravesite on hole 17.
She got her just desserts. Phony
There are different tastes for everyone. I love her classy personality which is reflected in her home.
Its dark and busy . I won't be able to relax there.
To me, her taste in decor is hideous. But, if redecorated, it would be beautiful.
Her taste in a husband wasn't much better.
Redecorate after paying 22m is it worth it?
Hey, obviously it was everything she wanted so good for her , she got to live that way, it’s obviously going to have a certain type of appeal to only a certain group of people, because it’s definitely a love it, or hate it place. Personally, not mine, but what does that matter, hopefully somebody will find it to their liking or will just cut it and redo it because of the place and location. Either way very interesting.
Nice comment and I agree.
A very specific style can take much longer to find the right buyer.
I still wonder how she fell down the stairs...I just don't believe it. . I really don't !!
@@lindahilton9482 That is something that bothers me greatly. If only she had a med alert.
It’s going to cost a lot to bring it up to date especially that leopard room ugh!
The leopard room is the only part I liked.
Now she’s buried in an overgrown patch of crabgrass at a tacky golf resort. “I Really Don’t Care Do U”-Love, Mel
She loved it..She lived it..Her taste..😊
Bingo!
So? We already know this. Everyone can criticize as they wish
Oh my eyes ....
Reminds me of the Russian Tea Room with the red and gold...that was also a place that Ivana loved to have lunch.
Who cares!
@@JRB644 LOL! Obviously, YOU care since you took the time to reply!
I don’t totally hate it. It’s a lot of red, but it kind of has a secluded tucked away vibe to it.
Id never leave. Lol it’s so luxurious and 80s and cozy to me. But I am also a super homebody!
I love it...especially the master bedroom!!!
They are crazy, 22.5 mil? That place needs a total gut renovation. I do like the pink onyx on the floor. But somebody from Saudi Arabia might buy it.
For people like that don’t have 22M it’s crazy but for billionaires that’s only piece of cake. It’s fair price for multi millionaire middle eastern people or Asian billionaires. This is iconic home now.
It's a bit of an eastern european revival in this style. Rich Russians too are extreme with their gold.
Tacky!!
Stupendous bathroom. Thank you!
I love the pink bathroom!

Its like going back in time. Beautiful 😻
Back to the tacky 80's. Wonder where they put all her shoulder pad dresses and cans of hair spray.

I wouldn't change a thing, this is a gorgeous time capsule.
It is a time capsule indeed.
I love it. I am happy she lived her life on her terms she deserved it.😊
❤❤❤❤it all agreed 💯💯
The whole thing needs to be gut-renovated. It's ugly and tacky and garish like all the Trumps.
Rest in Peace Ivana. Her style and elegance will always be remembered. Her grandchildren must have enjoyed visiting her beautiful home.
😢😢😢 same 😢😢
Elegance?! LOL
Scary to see the stairs... where she died
I was thinking the same
Is her ghost included? 😮
Did she trip on the stairs, just as her nondisclosure agreement was ending, or was she pushed or tripped down the stairs?
@@ritagreen6499 ... plus, if she was cremated, why did they use a full heavy casket? I wonder what was buried with her asges? 🤔
She has an elevator. She isn't taking the stairs if she has an elevator
The mural kind of looks like something you would find at an Olive Garden 😂😂😂
So help me understand something the staff had quarters and a office but no one was home when she was found dead at the bottom of the stairs that’s very strange for a woman who needed someone at her beck and call
She had staff but not enough staff to cover people’s days off.
@@CJ-jq4lv or maybe coincidentally the day she died trump gave the staff the day off because let’s not forget he was paying her alimony
But of course, the Donald was meticulous with his planning….she now rest comfortably…on a stack of files.
Maybe it was the staffs day off
I wouldn’t want to live there but I would love to visit for a dinner party.
This house is a nightmare to me honestly.
Not to mention cursed and probably haunted because of the tragic accident.
I wonder how the kids fighting in wars and the homeless would feel about your nightmares?
Those stairs killed her.
It takes a lot of money to make a house look this vulgar and tasteless, but it was Ivana’s choice, she made it how she wanted it to be, and I hope she found some happiness there.
what do you like hospital rooms and days inn ?
I had the opportunity to meet her in person in 1998 (during the time she was writing the column for The Globe) and she was so lovely, sincere and witty!
lol somebody is super jealous I see.. lol
Tasteless. Most of it is very classy. Not my style. I can not stand animal print …. Though I love animals. It’s a female dign. Like men who hunt and mount animal heads on walls. Some women love this. I think it’s 🤮…. But I love the jewell tones with white trim…. Just a few things I would change. But then again….. I prefer easy living that’s cozy.
It's all too quasi Monarchy. It was designed for a person with lower middle class tastes.
Fabulous!! I love it.❤❤
Ivana's ghost comes with it for free.
I wouldn't change a thing. I love it!
Me too 😆
I would offer less than current ask, then change out the carpets, paint and paper the walls, and just basically tone it down a bit. No reno required, just cosmetics.
I’m not rich or privileged & have never experienced high-end luxury but I know what I don’t like - the entire interior of this townhouse. Only the front doors were tasteful to me. The moment the hosts went inside, it just felt like a brothel. But then again they did mention this townhouse wanted to emulate “Parisienne” vibes & it does feel very Moulin Rouge to me.
Agreed!
Yeah the outdoor courtyard and the outside of the front entrance were the only appealing places for me.
Well she was tacky and gaudy like all the Trumps. What do you expect.
If there were neutral carpets, the red silk (&leopard!)was taken off the walls and a nice modern kitchen was built out someone could live here through a floor by floor reno. The house was obviously kept very clean and well maintained.
I think the kind of person who has the funds to buy this place might love the decor. 🤣
Gorgeous home and it reminded me of home alone lost in New York
It felt homey and warm
Q: What period is this?
A: Reign of Terror.
its the period of I screwed Trump and was paid Millions just to divorce him. She is the only person that got paid from Trump and the only person that Trump was in debt to for his sucess
Too much red.
💯!
If she had an elevator in the house why did she fall down the stairs?
Exactly!
Have you ever counted steps? It's what you do to keep fit. Elevators are for handicapped people.

Do not agree with you at all
If She preserved it, wondering why haven’t her children retained it?
Because it’s hideous!
Her children allowed their father to chuck her remains in the back of a golf course for tax reasons…cold blooded.
@@marylhereI highly doubt she’s actually buried there, they have her grave there and say she is for tax purposes but I bet she’s buried elsewhere
Most people sell their parents house after death and distribute the proceeds?
scene of the crime.
This is very ornate and may not suit everyone’s tastes. It does resemble the kind of decor that would’ve been popular among French royalty in the Marie Antoinette era. Although it is opulently styled, it would be too dark and formal for me, but I appreciate the effort and attention to detail that Ivana put into it. Most important of all, it made her happy. It is beautiful in its own way.
Nuh uh, go to Paris. This is not timeless French classy chic. It is tacky American style.
This house looks like the decor of someone who grew up in Czechoslovakia in the 1950's. It's Ivana's interpretation of wealth from Eastern Europe. It's gawd awful!!! Fabric walls?! Are you kidding me?
@@CC-si3cr No, even in Czechoslovakia this was something else. Czechoslovakia in the 1950s actually was leading the world in Modernist design, especially after the 1958 Brussels Expo. This place looks more like Ivana was inspired by her ex-Husbands taste as well as all the Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos of the 1980s, down to the awful wall to wall hotel carpeting.
Too much Red!!!
I mean it’s definitely outdated whoever buys it will have to do a gut renovation to bring it to today’s safety and design it to their specifications 😊
yes, I agree. While everything is beautiful ( a matter of ones own taste) it is very taste specific, which is fine it was her house. To me, most of it is very outdated, and that's fine also, everything cant be up to the minute...but this decor, is way beyond over the top, and a little on the grotesque side. Once her furniture goes and just the walls and floors are left, the new owner will have to remove the wallpaper, carpeting, and it becomes a full gut.
I don't know how many people would think this this is "turn key". The one thing about these town homes is the lack of light in the inner rooms from windows. I don't like it, and wouldn't want to love there.
It could’ve been redone last year and the new owners would still renovate to their tastes.
@@jerryware1970facts
Didn't she fall in there and that caused her hospitalization and then she died from it?
That or the yabbajabba...
Ivana had been sick for quite a while. The owner of a restaurant she went to days earlier, said she was unable to eat - so she took the food home.
no she was murdered and then they lied and said she died falling down the stairs but that is an obvious lie.
This video gives me so much excitement everytime I watch this its so spectacular the level of detail inspires me to keep on smiling.
Hideous and overpriced 😂
Not surprised in the least it has been on the market for a year. Fox New York did a tour of this place months ago. At least the agent was honest that the place would need renovation. For that money, you can get a modern place with a good view of the water or Central Park.
Done with a lot of love is correct! Lovely home she left, well suited to her taste.
She is buried 🪦in a golf course, that's the real sad story.
I like this better than the ugly “contemporary” crap that people decorate with today! I love the pink onyx, the Venetian mirror, one of which I also own, the French fireplaces, and my favorite colors are pink, red and gold. I detest soulless, ugly, cold, straight-lined furniture and finishes. I detest the dreary color gray! At least Ivana’s home has character and embodies her style. Most people follow trends that are designed by other people… Ivana followed her heart. God bless her and May she rest in peace🙏
Interesting that she fell down the stairs when she was elderly and had an elevator.
Well, she also had more than enough stairs to fall from...
….and that her ex husband was in town and she was due to give a deposition about him the next day. …..and that she is spending eternity IN his golf course. Interesting indeed.
So in other words the house is haunted which is easy to believe 😮😊
I think the decor was "IN" during her time. Remember she's also Czech so it has European influences. And she's gone now. So i think her family decided not to change anything bec it will bring and hold memories for them. Sometimes we just need to think for a moment before we comment ya know. No hate, just understanding.
Outside look like a Bank 🏦 inside looks like a Brothel someone said 😂😂😂😂
I’m really surprised that none of her children kept it, especially her daughter. I know she has a place in Florida but it was her mother’s. It screams Ivana there! It’s gorgeous and exquisite taste just like she always was I find her so sad.
She was special woman. She done lot of things in her life.
Like what? ...She only got the money by divorcing Trump.

I love the coziness of the house to be honest. I would live there!! So unique. But it does need meticulous cleaning!!
I’d live there too!!
Cozy isn’t a word I would use
"Versaille" translates to shiny, bawdy and garish. One person living in all this space is obscene. Just imagine her outcome had she lived in a nicely detailed, one level condo, there would have been no Texas tumble down the stairs....
A lot of people continue to live in their home after the kids have grown and moved.
I LOVE IT
She died there falling down the stairs. What happened to the elevator! Now, some rich dogs are buried better than she's under that ⛳️ golf course. How sad.
Beautiful home, but I feel the house would give me vertigo from all the red

I know we're supposed to hate the rich but to have enough money to be able to buy this AND then renovate it so inspiring.
only the losers hate successful people.
She earned her millions because she knew not to get mad and just get everything.
It’s ironic that they think so highly of the staircase when it was the very thing that led to her demise.
the stairway did not lead to her demise, he filthy ex husband had her killed and that is what led to her demise. no way she died falling down those carpeted stairs. people fall down steps all the time and none of them die, unless the steps are concrete and it happens outdoors. that is possible. but not those stairs what a lie.
