Hey all, just a heads up if you're disassembling your toy the hands of my Hammer Hood were glued in and the backpack had a lot of glue holding it together. A couple parts were really stuck and I had to use a crafting utility knife and isopropyl alcohol to separate the glue. Also be careful as the wings of the backpack are glued in and could come loose when trying to remove. Can't wait to see everyone's creations!
This is great info for the DIYers. The toy factory makes these things with the intention of them staying together, as any good toy maker should do. But for us painters we wanna take them apart. Mine came apart pretty easy with a bit of flathead screwdriver prying in some parts (edited out in the video to make things move along quick)
@TenHundred could you not sell the parts in a kit form for people who want to paint them can. It makes things way easier

why hasn't PROCREATE asked to use your 3d character for their 3d canvas'? you are one of the hugest supporters of their product.. and why i got into it my self. I will never not wanna collab with you tenhun and there are so many areas of my interest that aren't even near your type of art... i would love to learn so much from you.. who started with art... i may tangent alot but i enjoy most art for the freedom of trying. thank you for always TRYING

The Steve Zissou one is definitely my fav, I love The Life Aquatic, and growing up in the 80's, I used to watch Jacques Cousteau with my Dad all the time! I wish I had the cash to grab some art supplies and sculpt something, but I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with!

I love that they manually held the background, when it was first there, i was thinking how funny that little black showing behind it, that i assumed was a clamp or something temporarily holding it up, was actually someone hiding behind it, and then it was!!! I literally laughed out loud, 😂

This is absolutely awesome. Your art is so fresh and reminds me of new style tattoos. As a traditional artist, i have so much clay, paint, and markers, that i might just have to sculpt one of these and customize it since I'm too broke to have been able to afford one(amd i missed the release) I would enjoy printing out the digital version and drawing my art on it too. Thank you for not disqualifying us starving artists who barely afford supplies.

These are so cool. I used to be so into customizing vinyls, This makes me want to get back into it. Also, It's so cool that you are opening the contest to even those who couldn't get their hands on one, kinda made me love you just a little more lol (not in a weird stalkery way) You know what else would be cool, a 3d file to use with Procreate 3d function. I wish I knew how to make them, I would just make one for you and your fans. Anyway, good work, keep it up!

In the future, hit the vinyl toy with a hair dryer. It softens the plastic and makes it easy to pop the mushroom joints back together.

Just noticed something. I bought one of the blanks, The ones we purchased are a little different than what you have.The hands and arm is one piece and don't come apart. The book bag is also almost impossible to removes I had to cut my off with a knife to remove it
I was so bummed, I bought one and it was stolen in the mail. I've had no luck getting Martian Toys to respond, it's a bummer.

Thank you so much, this is super exciting! It was pretty devasting to me when the toy line was sold out before I had the chance to get one, I try my best to collect the cool art things designed here. I got a second chance which I'm so thankful for to get this and this time I'm not messing it up. I'm hopefully going to design and animate something as well, love art contests always a good time to see what everyone comes up with!

having seen the warehouse video it was really cool watch your environment change thought out the video.
Love the video! As you were riding around the warehouse I was thinking it would be awesome to paint a road onto the floor that you could follow. You could paint scenery along the road for different climates or seasons so it would change as you rode around.
That's a fun idea. I used to take rollerblades to work if I went in on the weekends. It wasn't THIS big. But it was a fun way to get around faster and get some exercise

Peter!! Don’t use the air dry clay! Use oven bake or foam clay for sculpting, you won’t hate clay if you use the correct kind! ❤

Hullo Peter, I believe that one of your collaborators in your big RUclips collab is a phenomenal creator and Kat Liepins Art has done toys and I bet she would KILL this ! I hope she has some figures to work on or just do some of her wonderful customization's or just do some work on your software substitute plans! Hey! You might try warm water to re-fit heads on necks as well as arm and legs onto torsos! I have helped my sister fix her dolls many times over the years after my brother took them and did some Frankenstein work on them! I am just saying that you don’t have to gouge out the sockets and use glue to keep them on, this way they will still swivel! Just so you know for your next customization.
