  • Had a flat, so I had to remove the rear wheel.
This is how I did it, it is quite easy.
Didn't video changing the tire itself, plenty of great videos out there!

I appreciate the quick video! Very direct/ On point and without the amateur comedy “Look what I can do!” hour most vids seem to include! The torque specifications was a much needed bonus. Thank you so much.

Thank you once again Alex, another excellent video and love the fact there is no annoying and unnecessary commentary. Torque settings shows you are thinking about your viewers and what they need to know. Time for new tyres on my XMAX so this is perfect. Love yourr work Sir!!

Good tutorial. I thought I'd take a look at mine. It seemed to have more play than it should and sometimes made a noise. Being a novice to scooters and rider I took it to the dealer I bought it from (used) to check and they said maybe the normal belt noise. After seeing this it was obvious....no nut on the axle! Maybe a life saver.

Cost me £30 to get a screw taken out and hole plugged, that was without removing the rear tyre, car tyre fitters usually charge £15 for a car tyre

It's way easier to use the rear brake to hold the wheel while removing & installing the axle nut. Just change up the order of operation a bit with the caliper.

Acetone, nail polish remover, is great for removing old thread locker. Give it a 20 minute soak, and it falls right off.

I have two medleys. I need to learn to do this to save trouble. Nobody posts anything about Piaggio Medleys. Hard to learn stuff for my scooters. I wonder if this is similar to mine? Already remove the muffler and calipers to service myself, but not gone any further than that

Sometimes there are specific methods to some models for removing the back wheel.
Try finding the workshop manual for your model
