Thank you for one of the most intelligent reactions I have ever seen of Angelina (and I've watched over 1500! She has been described as a "force of nature". Her musicality is inborn and she has the added ability to draw you into her world and to communicate the emotions of the song to you so that it feels s if she is singing just for you alone.

Ella tiene raspy voice, vocal fry melismas y mas muchos profesores vocales han estudiado su voz y todos concuerdan que tiene voz jazz, soul, blues y mas tiene un vibrato unico y voz rasgada es asi desde siempre. Desde los 7 años que la escuche por primera vez. Deberian ver todas sus actuaciones desde niña hasta ahora.
Really enjoyed your discussion of how she is enjoying herself and how she brings the listener in. Along with a beautiful tone and skills, there seems to be an innate respect for the audience, that she wants to share her own enjoyment of singing. Some singers seem determined to beat you into submission, to grovel and admire their skill and power. She creates a trust that she will take you along on a complex emotional journey and that she will treat you with respect. I don't hear many vocal coaches talk about the audience, so thank you for seeing this.

Thank you for an excellent, knowledgeable reaction to Angelina who is my favorite singer, EVER. She not only has the most beautiful voice I've heard, but her genius is her ability to rearrange classic, iconic songs & sing them in a way we've never heard before, with incredible emotion. I have watched many reactions to Angelina, but you really know your jazz. You are the first among the reactors who I have heard to mention "scat." As I you are aware, that was a technique for which Ella was famous. Angelina's range also reminds me of Sarah Vaughan.
Yes, Sarah Vaughn. As she ages her voice seems to be becoming richer in tone and she is using less raspiness. And she is playing more and more (which could be a dangerous path, but she's 14 so...). I was reminded a bit of earlier Coltrane here in the ways that she'll keep skipping off of the main melody. Put her in a room with recordings of Vaughn, Coltrane, and Diana Krall (more as arranger, not singer necessarily) and something amazing would come out.

About your question: she has an inflammation, in some songs they are more notorious than others, but this is happening because when she goes to the higher notes the voice is not in the correct place, eave though the sound that we listen is kind of “nice” if she sets her voice at the correct place this could be gorgeous and healthy. Her breathing sound is nice, that’s not the inflammation reason. The reason of the inflammation that I heard some times more than another is because she is using her voice with a constant sound effect that is not well placed. She can do what ever she wants, but she needs a vocal phoniatric coach to teach her to do what she wants but with the correct voice position. Greeting

Really enjoyed your discussion of how she is enjoying herself and how she brings the listener in. Along with a beautiful tone and skills, there seems to be an innate respect for the audience, that she wants to share her own enjoyment of singing. Some singers seem determined to beat you into submission, to grovel and admire their skill and power. She creates a trust that she will take you along on a complex emotional journey and that she will treat you with respect. I don't hear many vocal coaches talk about the audience, so thank you for seeing this.

She not only has the most beautiful voice I've heard, but her genius is her ability to rearrange classic, iconic songs & sing them in a way we've never heard before, with incredible emotion. I have watched many reactions to Angelina, but you really know your jazz. You are the first among the reactors who I have heard to mention "scat." As I you are aware, that was a technique for which Ella was famous. Angelina's range also reminds me of Sarah Vaughan.
Yes, Sarah Vaughn. As she ages her voice seems to be becoming richer in tone and she is using less raspiness. And she is playing more and more (which could be a dangerous path, but she's 14 so...). I was reminded a bit of earlier Coltrane here in the ways that she'll keep skipping off of the main melody. Put her in a room with recordings of Vaughn, Coltrane, and Diana Krall (more as arranger, not singer necessarily) and something amazing would come out.

She has been singing this way for so long that it is natural. Hello Johnny! Thank you very much for watch our channel and taking the time to comment. About your question: she has an inflammation, in some songs they are more notorious than others, but this is happening because when she goes to the higher notes the voice is not in the correct place, eave though the sound that we listen is kind of “nice” if she sets her voice at the correct place this could be gorgeous and healthy.
Her breathing sound is nice, that’s not the inflammation reason.
The reason of the inflammation that I heard some times more than another is because she is using her voice with a constant sound effect that is not well placed.
She can do what ever she wants, but she needs a vocal phoniatric coach to teach her to do what she wants but with the correct voice position.

It sounded in this reaction like you were much more willing to believe that this was a style she was adopting rather than an inherent characteristic of her voice. (That's the impression I got, anyway.)
Now, as for other stuff from her that you should listen to (and react to), here are a few of her covers that I think you should hear, as vocal coaches who can really appreciate and explain what she's doing with her voice:

Not only do these appearances on 'Norway's Got Talent' demonstrate "where she came from" vocally speaking, since they are such early examples of her singing (there are actually several earlier ones, going all the way back to before she was 2 years old!), they also show the variety of "sounds" she can adopt vocally (at such a young age!). In the first two, she is doing Billie Holiday, of course, and in the third Nancy Sinatra (not an impression of her, but sung in the same style as her 1966 version). The fourth performance is very interesting in that Angelina is singing Ella's vocal arrangement, more or less, but is singing it in more of a Dinah Washington style than an Ella one.

(That's just my own personal opinion.)

There are many other great covers, and a few very nice originals, I could point you to, but the ones above are specifically chosen to illustrate certain "technical" aspects of her voice (in the case of the last five, how she can "sound like" professional recording artists while not sacrificing any artistry in the process).
I'm hoping you will consider reacting to all of them (eventually), so we can learn more about what she's "actually doing" to achieve these great vocals. (Plus, you will *really* enjoy these, I'm sure.)

When you uploaded the video she was already 14 years old. Her Birthday was January 10th 2006. If I were able to suggest a song to her, that in my opinion would fit her, it would be Edith Piafs "Non, Je ne regrette rien
